- cashier hot dog vendor dude walking around in front of the store wearing a sign and a funny costume.
- I got news for you. Get any four year degree. It doesn't really make any difference. Go on to law school or graduate school get a doctorate. Otherwise your psych major dont mean much.
- There really isn't much you can do with a Bachelor's in psychology, but perhaps you can combine it with another major to do more, If you combine it with business maybe you can do something with personel.. With education, teach it in school. In most states you have to have a Doctorate in Psychology to get the best paying jobs. Some states allow Master's level psychologists to be therapist. Some may call them something else, like mental health associates, but you would basically do therapy, perhaps testing (IQ, Personality, Achievment)
- If all you care about is money and not people,I would suggest going into a Business major.
- By the way, I just finished my Bachelor's degree in Computer Information System which is a combination between computer technology and business administration, and the market is extremely competitive. It is also extemely competitive for any bachelor's degree. What really helps is, a bachelor's degree with proven excellence of experience in your field of study. Basically, if you had a position with a company for five years, and your job performance was outstanding, then you would have an lot less difficult time at obtaining a position with a company. The jobs that are really booming now is anything nursing, healthcare, truck driving, but all these fields are going to fill-up to and become extemely competitive. HVAC (Heating Venting and Cooling) is a good trade right now, but it will soon fill up too. My advice, don't worry about the pay. Just go to school, study what you really enjoy and do the best that you can BUT make sure you try to learn a lot. Then graduate and apply for jobs. In this day and time, you will have to take just about anything just to get your foot in the door. College don't mean a lot now days because there are so many people that have went to college and graduated that they have their pick of almost anybody in the world. So just go to school, graduate, and hope for the best. That is all anyone can do in an extremely competitive global environment. I just read your minor in business. I think getting a minor in business would be a waste of your time and money. Getting a minor in business doesn't really teach you about finance, accounting, human resources, management, IT, or marketing. It is just an introduction to all areas that are in a business. It don't teach you how to do anything. So I would skip this. Most businesses won't look at your minor If you like psychology and business, then you might want to consider getting a degree in Management. Like every other field, it is extremely competitive but if you can get a management position then you will make pretty good money. There are higher levels of management positions that earns more. But I want to give you a heads up about what I have found out about management position. As you probably know, middle management has almost disappeared. The only place you can find middle management is in some kind of small to midsize company, but middle management will disappear and upper management and lower management will take on the responsibilities that middle management once held. A couple of months ago, I read in an online business article claiming that corporations are going to start letting go upper management because it would reduce the company's expense which would allow the company to become more competitive globally by passing on that savings with the world, by reducing prices. Lower management has been downsized quite a bit. In many companies you will find that there are fewer managers with greater responsibilities. One person may be over a thousand employees. So even in this area, they are cutting back. From the newspapers job ads, automechanic and diesel mechanic are very popular trades and there are a lot of postings for these jobs. If you went in this direction, you would probably have a less difficult time at obtaining employment and your pay would be pretty good. But a lot of people get burnt out on mechanic work really quick.
- I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and honestly, you can't get many jobs in the "psych-related" field with it. I was a paraprofessional at an elementary school for awhile, but that was a tough job and not very good pay. The job I have now is completely unrelated to psychology...unless you consider that the knowledge is helpful when dealing with difficult co-workers. :-) Any major you have with a four year degree will get you the base requirements for those jobs that ask for a Bachelors degree...in order to specify your field, in most cases you have to go on to a Masters or Doctorate degree. Exceptions might be Education, Business, and/or a Computer degree.
