1. Not really. Most companies that need tech-savvy (or any kind of specialized knowledge) post openings ALL THE TIME, then maintain a pool of applicants they can call when they have a real need. I have no doubt though, that at some point in the future, XM & Sirius will merge. Or perhaps they won't. Don't overlook the fact that these two have allowed the rumors to swirl for so long that ClearChannel, Cumulus Media and even Citadel have all been given opportunity to learn (and avoid) the mistakes these two companies have made...
