Advice on how to land a job, please?
Okay, I'm 21 years old, and am in a position now where I need to grab a job, either part time or full time (I went from fulltime student to living with a room mate) ... I'm in a brand new city/state as well (Wisconsin, Green Bay), and I just have no idea how to approach this situation! I looked online for job listings, I even signed up at Adecco, but all the searches I've found in the last 4 days of looking all require experience. But ... how am I to get experience if the only jobs hiring take ppl with experience? lol I'm completely new to this, so any tips on how to land a job would really be helpful. Im really interested in working in perhaps a bookstore, or a library, but I'll take anything, besides fastfood. I'm kinda getting desperate o.O

- If you do not have the experience you need, and can afford it financially, volunteer in your field to get experience. There are tons of places you can volunteer: if you want to go into social work, volunteer at shelters or kids help places, if you want to get into healthcare, volunteer at hospitals or retirement homes. Just make sure you plan out what you plan to do with your experience (in terms of gettin a job afterwards) so that you have an idea of your goals. Regarding your case specifically, I don't know from experience, but I'm SURE you can volunteer at public libraries.
- Okay, so are you out of college now? If so, that means you have a degree. Why would you work in a library or a bookstore when you have a degree? You could be making so much more money! I found my job on CareerBuilder. It's hard to weed out the good and bad jobs, but once in a while a gem comes along and everything works out for you. And even if things require experience, they just say that sometimes. Apply anyway, and somebody is sure to call you.
- i would say in the mean time make a little extra cash i'll give you a link check it out
