once and for all, when and how is the best way to negotiate salary?

I am searching for a new job, and want to be prepared for when I get an offer. I have never negotiated salary before. What do I say? and When do I say it?

2. get a figure that shows the range of the salary for that job in that area -- sat a goal for your self of what the lowest you will accept!!!
