What does "salary 35K" mean? Other salary tips.?
What does "salary 35K" mean? Sorry for silly questioin, but I would like to know. I am looking for a skilled worker job. I have good skills, but my English needs some improvement. Many ads have that 35K,50K, 80K salary. I would appreciate more advice on possible tricky parts of job search and salary description details I have to pay attention to, and to be aware of. Thank you for your experience exchange.

- K is thousands. 35,000 50,000 or 80,000 per year.
- $35,000 annual, 12-month salary It's about $16.83/hour (just divide annual salary by 2080)
- The "K" means thousands as in $35,000. Higher salaries require experience, education and skill.
- "K" means "1000", so 35k would be $35,000 per year. Sometimes a salary will be "TBD". This means it is open to discussion ("To Be Determined" or "To Be Discussed"). "Salary negotiable" is a tough one; you're expected to hash it out.... "Salary commensurate with experience" is similar.. Research average salaries for the positions you plan to apply for to get a basic idea of what to expect. Also, factor in your own level of education and experience. G'luck.
