Jobs not calling me back is it because of my telephone number?

I just moved to a new area and I still have my tennessee number for my cell phone and I currently do not plan on changing it. I have been searching for a job for the past 3 months and have only received one phone interview. I know I qualify for some of the jobs I have applied for. do you think I am not getting call backs because I do not have a local number?

2. not necessarily, but i have heard professionals advise people who move to get a local number because it sends the message that you are here to stay, and committed to that location. i dont have a local number, i lived in this city for 3 years and still use my number for another city, however if i was going for a professional job, i would probably get a prepaid local phone.
