If you were a firefighter, what job would you want? WHY that one???
Would you want to be the HOSE person (putting out the blaze), ROOF person (cutting & axing holes through the roof for ventilation), HYDRANT person (opening the hydrant and connecting all of the hoses in a quick amount of time), or the SEARCH & RESCUE person (one who goes in with several others to conduct searches for trapped civilains while under very harsh conditions)??? WHICH POSITION WOULD YOU CHOOSE & GIVE A GOOD REASON WHY "THAT" POSITION AND NOT THE OTHER ONES... The person with the best reason shall win...

- I'd want to be the guy who stays behind and watches the firehouse. Why? Because going inside a burning house is dangerous. This is why we are taught from a young age to get OUT of a burning building.
- SEARCH & RESCUE because i will be on TV!
- i would want to hold the hose !!!
- I would want to do the search and rescue. Not only is it a very essential and important part of the operation (human life is, after all, extremely valuable :), but it is also a very challenging and dangerous task. Unable to see anything while your following a mental map of the house, relying on only two senses: touch and sound. A successful search is very rewarding.
- hose person coz its the safest and there are plenty of people wanting to be heroic thank you. life is more precious than publicity. roof and search and rescue is out of the question but hydrant too is fine. hope i was explicit enough
- just an FYI the guy who hits the hydrant (at least on the departments in my part of the country) then goes and joins another group. normaly they back up the nozelman. (the guy with the hose)
