How will I get to find addiction treatment centers in Augusta, Maine?

I really want to become an addiction counselor someday. I figured that if I ask around at various addiction treatment centers, I'd know what their requirements are. I'm also trying to see if I could get an internship there or a part-time job.

1. Oh, that's a really noble dream you have. I really hope that you succeed in attaining that. I don't know about internships or part-time jobs in addiction treatment centers. Do you have a background in psychology? If so, there are some that might be willing to take you in. I think they require counselors to take up a program or some courses in addiction counseling first before they become qualified. Anyway, the links below can help you in finding treatment centers. 2. You could ask at Maine General Medical Center. The Waterville campus has a psychiatric ward that deals with addiction. There's also a psych ward in Lewiston. If you haven't taken any psych courses, it's not too late to sign up at UMA! They don't stop registration until add/drop week in September. Good luck!
