Why is it that people that act like egotistical know-it-alls are often the ones selected for job vacancies?

...when in fact they're just arseholes that are drinking buddies with the hiring managers.

1. some people actually have all thoes skills. Some lie thru their teeth and noone checks their stats.
2. That is what life is all about. Too honest may not bring you anywhere. But too much dishonesty may land you in deep trouble.
