Is it that students passed out from Govt. engg colleges get better jobs than private engg colleges?

Please help me. I will be definately getting a seat in Manipal Institute of Technology,Manipal.Or should I select a seat in colleges which are govt. recognised. Of course Manipal is UGC Recognised.Is it that students from private colleges are placed only during placement and then do not get a job independently?Is it true?

No. The colleges gives you the key, you have to find out the right lock to open.It depends on the education, if you educate yourself if you graduate from govt. collage or private collage it does not makes any difference.It depends on the mentality of the person.The students should make their own choice.Do I want just the diploma or am I going to use this engineering as a profession?This is the main question.
