Will I Be Accredited After US Career Institute Course? I received my medical transcriptionist enrollment form from US Career Institute. I have been searching for jobs online and they require their employees be accredited. Looking through the items USCI sent, I see that when I get my diploma, I will be a trained medical transcriptionist. Does this also mean I will be accredited? If not, how and where do I go to get my accreditation? And how realistic is it that I will be able to work at hiome as a medical transcriptionist? The way businesses and even some hospitals are closing, working at home is more practical given my circumstances. Thank you. Yes, the school is accredited. Just not sure if it means I will be since the literature only says I will be a trained medical transcriptionist when I finish the course.

Hi. I came across this online schoolcalled the US Career Institute. Can anyone tell me about this? They have an associates degree in social work that I'm looking at but I'd like to hear from anyone out there who studies through this institution. Thanks people. Peace.
us career institute is it the real deal? thinking about starting this school, hoping someone can shed some light if they have graduated from one of their medical assistant courses or patient care tech course and if they have had any success in landing a good career after successful completion. I'm a mom of 2 youngsters that aren't in school, me and my husband work alternating schedules to hold onto full time jobs and I just can't fit in full time college on top of all of it. Looking for a decent online program for use in the medical field. Thank you
Ashworth Online College or US Career Institute Online College? I am looking to take a Veterinary Assistant program online. I have narrowed it down to Ashworth or US Career Institute. http://www.ashworthcollege.edu/programs/career-diploma/veterinary-assisting/ http://www.uscareerinstitute.com/veterinaryspecialist.asp I have looked at Reviews, Forums, & even their Facebook Fan Pages Both look Promising but I am still not sure which one I should choose to go to. I have looked into Penn Foster, Stratford, and a few others and all I find is bad reviews left and right. I am not able to go to a University due to my Emotional State & lack of knowledge for Core Classes due to not be taught right and properly since I was hospitalized all my life from age 9 to 16 off & on. Please do not Criticize me for this. I have 10+ years of Animal Experience & Volunteered at a Shelter for 3 years and even Assisted the Vet Tech so I have the capability to do this Career.
Has anyone else been bothered by US career institute? I signed up for child care in 05 with US Career Institute. After a few lessons I decided I didnt want to do that so I switched to medical billing. I want to be able to stay home with my daughter as much as possible. Well I started doing a lesson, I think I got half thru it then found I couldnt do learn all the terminology. I had a brain injury 2 yrs prior and had a hard time remembering things. I tried stopping, but they told me I had to pay all the tuition. I stopped paying, and they took money out of my account on and off for 2 yrs. I think I paid hundreds back to them, and did only a few lessons. Last yr I talked to someone who told me if I started paying again they'd send out more lessons. But I was told by other people they wont until I pay all the tuition, over 1000. Well that made me mad cause he lied to me. I dont feel I owe them anything. Ive paid alot of money for a service Im not getting, nor do I want. They got my home phone number somewhoe (I just got it) and keep calling it and my cell. Its driving me crazy, and they keep saying how its ruining my credit. They need to stop their lying and leave people alone. Anyone else have these issues? I cant believe theh can lie about things and think its okay. They arent getting anything else from me....
Is taking a Medical Assistant course at US Career Institute worth the money and time? Hi! I have been in sales all my life but i haven't been working for a lil more than a yr coz I just had a baby. I will be starting a new part-time job as a medical office admin assistant next week (totally not my area of specialty) and I have been thinking of why not getting a diploma/cert for it online that way I will have the education and the experience if ever i decide to pursue it fulltime in the future. I came across US Career Institute and really like what they're saying. It's affordable and self-paced. I raed a lot of negative reviews about graduates not being able to find jobs coz of not having experience but since I will start working in that field next week, It might be a good thing. What do you think? Has anybody tried this school? How did it go? Thanks!
Any SUCCESSFUL US Career Institute grads? I took the Medical Claims and Billing Specialist course, expecting to work from home right off the bat as they pretty much implied. I'm stuck. I NEED a job, and I don't have ANY experience in this other than the course. It's a lot harder to get going from home than they lead on. Have any of you been in this situation? How did you pull out of it? I just need some advice. ):

It says that you can get a degree in Social Work however it's not accredited with CSWE. Not necessary as a social worker but somewhere in the field of social work. Will employers even consider me with this education?

US Career Institute..has anyone taken a course online? I've been interested in medical transcription since a friend of mine told me her sister in law worked from home as one. I have NO clue how to go about it, so I googled away looking for information on how to become one. Another site was talking about campus courses and online courses (which I am interested in) and went on to name website after website. My head spun as I got more and more confused as to who to trust. I remembered there was an add in the back of my Parents Magazine on becoming one. I went to their website and read as much as I could. Another site I visited had many comments that they were legit, but no one came forward to say they actually were enrolled and doing a course. I was just wondering if anyone has done a course in Medical Transcription from "U.S Career Institute?" Or any course for that matter. Is this website a good choice to learn it from to work from home? I'm wanting to work at home. Any info would be great
US Career Institute, does anyone know? I wanted to take their Massage Therapy course online. The only issue is that the 200 hours of hands on training is only available in Colorado. I live in Maryland. There is no way I can go to Colorado. It seems as if this part is optional, but it's confusing because it also says that this is the final course and it prepares you for graduation. Does anyone know if you can get the diploma without the 200 hours of hands on training?

Who can I file complaints regarding Branford Hall Career institute? Who can I file complaints regarding Branford Hall Career institute? Sub par education! $15,000 for nothing! The teachers were either uneducated or they just flat out taught us nothing! Our class went from 13 to 3 because everyone left due to the fact that they were getting nothing out of the school. I don't want to go directly to the school because they are prepared for people like me. They know how to handle complaints and that's with lip service and false promises. WHat can I do??

How many of the top 10 Universities offer graduate degrees for those seeking a career in ministry? There seems to be a stereotype here on YA that religious=stupid. Here is the list of the top 10 universities in the country according to US News and World Reports (duplicate numbers indicate a tie) : 1. Princeton * 2. Harvard * 3. Yale * 4. California Institute of Technology 4. Stanford 4. M.I.T. 7. Duke * 8. Dartmouth College 9. Columbia University * 9. University of Chicago * Schools marked with an * offer graduate level degrees (according to the Association of Theological Schools) to students who intend to pursue a career in some form of full time ministry, whether that is teaching, church work, or work in a non-profit. So, the top 3 universities, and 7 of the top 10, offer advanced degrees to religious people. (I am a student at Wake Forest University's Divinity School.) How does this affect your opinion of the intelligence of religious people? If you still hold the opinion that religious=stupid, how do you justify that opinion? Oxford and Cambridge in the UK both offer divinity degrees as well.

There are many things I want to do with my life. Is it possible for me to do it all? I am 27 years old (will be 28 in early January) and I have discovered lots of career possibilities for myself: teacher, a Ph.D, an artist, a writer, a school counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, crisis counselor, a couselor or chaplain for the US military, and entreprenur. I discovered that I can make all my childhood dreams come true: teacher, doctor, writer, and counselor. I'm even considering opening my own mental-health institute. Yet, I get stressed and sick when I'm doing too much, but I feel I must use these abilities not only for myself, but society as well. For example, I'm currently a tutor at the local community college. It pays just $8.50/hr, but my job is very rewarding. I feel that I've found my niche, and I want to use all my skills and develop new ones to the fullest. Is it realisticly possible to do everything I desire to do?
Can someone give me suggestions on my research paper? Thesis is: Debussy's experimentation and unconventional ways have revolutionized the art of music, influecning many later composers and sparking new forms of music such as jazz
What online school is the best for the Veterinary Assistant & will I require additional schooling etc? I am thinking of taking an online/correspondence type course for Veterinary Assistant but I am not sure what one of the schools to pick because there are so many different ones out there. There is PCDI and Stratford Career Institute etc. Has anyone took this course with an online/correspondence school? (I live in Canada, ON by the way if this helps at all) What online school is best? Are the fee's in Canadian or US dollars and are there any hidden costs that I will learn about later? Also is the diploma they give good enough to get a job with or will I have to attend an in class college for additional schooling before being accepted by Veterinary Hospitals? I really need some advice here as I really want to better myself but don't want to waste money on schools that suck or diploma's that are useless. Thanks to anyone that can help me with this.
C or C++? Which is better? Ok, so I am interested in enrolling in correspondence courses to learn computer programming, the problem is I can't tell which is better. Stratford Career Institute, or Penn Foster Career School. Both have great courses but with differences. Penn foster Visual C# .NET Programmer... http://pennfoster.com/visualc/ProgramOutline.html And Stratford Career Institute Computer Programming.... http://www.scitraining.com/Courses_US/Computer_Programming/Outline.htm As I don't really know much about this stuff, I would like it if someone who does know can point me to the better school. Prefer someone who is in this career.
Three Strikes for the Open Borders Lobby Are They Out Yet ? If its to long skip it Three young people died in Newark, the latest casualties in illegal aliens' war on America. But don't expect even this bloody outrage to end the complacency of the political elite - or the mainstream media - as the alien invasion turns our streets into a slaughter house. Even though police and prosecutors were aware of Carranza's status, he was still released on bail on the earlier charges, and the feds were never told that an illegal alien, who practically had career predator stamped on his forehead, was at large. Mark S. Ali of the Essex County, N.J. prosecutors' office told the Newark Star Ledger that immigration officials could care less about such matters - "In 19 years, I have called immigration maybe a dozen times, and not once have they come to put a detainer or arrest someone." Or prosecutors' failure to dime Jose to the feds may have been mandated by Newark's sanctuary policy. Meanwhile, the death toll mounts. Consider the following (most gleaned from the website of the Federation for American Immigration Reform): July, 2007 - In New York, Nilssen Torres Paredes, an Ecuadorian national, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing two people while DUI. Paredes was both DUI and DWI (driving while illegal). July, 2007 - Undocumented worker Gilberto Cruz, was convicted of the shotgun slaying of his former girlfriend in Colorado. July 2007 - Marcelo Mota, an uninvited guest from Brazil, was arrested in New Jersey on charges of serial rape and sexual assault in Boston and the New York City-area going back to 2003. May, 2007 - Ezeiquiel Lopez, a Mexican who entered the country illegally (which is increasingly redundant), shot and killed a Kenosha, Co., Wisconsin deputy sheriff. Lopez had been jailed twice before for violent crimes and, needless to say, not deported. August, 2007 -- Mejia Cinto was arrested in Pennsylvania for the stabbing death of Anthony Senisi, a 44-year-old New Yorker and father of two. Apparently, it was a random homicide. Cinto, age 19, was angered after losing a street fight and is alleged to have knifed the first person he met. Or perhaps he was provoked by Congress' failure to "regularize" his status. May, 2007 - In Indianapolis, Jonathan Castillo pleaded guilty to raping a seven-year-old girl. Castillo is one of those undocumented child-molesters doing jobs Americans don't want. Aliens are responsible for a crime wave that makes Capone's Chicago look like Woodstock: At the end of 2003, over 267,000 illegal aliens were in prisons and jails throughout the U.S., at an annual cost of more than $6.8 billion. Illegals are responsible for an estimated 1,800 to 2,500 murders each year in the United States. (Iowa Congressman Steve King believes the figure is closer to 4,400 a year.) At the lowest estimate, every two years illegals murder almost as many Americans as jihadists in Iraq have killed in the entire war. Instead of bringing the troops home, how about sending the illegals home? The Violent Crimes Institute informs us that our illegal alien population includes roughly 240,000 sex offenders. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses of perverts yearning for fresh victims. It's estimated that illegal aliens are responsible for one-fourth of all highway fatalities. The undocumented are involved in DUI arrests at 3 to 6 times the national average. Said carnage is probably due to our failure to enact a guest-worker program. The drug gang MS-13, which originated in Central America, has more than 15,000 members in 115 local chapters (which double as McCain campaign offices), operating in 15 states. Jose Carranza's boy accomplices are believed to be MS-13 members. Apparently, there's a critical shortage of murderers, rapists, drug-dealers, gang members and drunk-drivers who are native to these shores, so we needs must import them. Those involved in this politically lucrative import business include politicians at all levels of government, church leaders, the knee-jerk media, scofflaw employers and the illegal-immigrant lobby. The failure to control our borders is exacerbated by more than 30 politically correct, "sanctuary cities" across the U.S., including Newark. By order or ordinance, these municipalities have pledged not to cooperate with immigration authorities, to the point where, if an illegal is arrested for raping a 5-year-old girl, local police and prosecutors won't notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).In New Haven, Connecticut, the Junta for Progressive Action and Unidad Latina en Accion filled suit against ICE agents for enforcement raids in the city on June 6. The racial solidarity groups suspect the raids were retaliation for New Haven's sanctuary policy. "We want to be sure that the rights of our immigrant communities have not been violated," cautioned Junta boca grande Sarahi Almonte. Here "immigrant" is a euphemism for illegal alien, which in turn is a euphemism for the murderers, rapists and vehicular homicide communities. And on September 30, half of the 6,000 National Guardsmen deployed on the border last year will be reassigned. The border fence is still largely an illusion. The Border Patrol is still under-staffed and outgunned by drug-smugglers and assorted scum. The Jose Carranzas are still coming. But after a brief flirtation with enforcement, it's back to securing Iraq's borders, while ours are largely untended. Three promising young lives cut short. Three families devastated. Jose and several of his associates are in custody. But the most dangerous culprits remain at large - making speeches, writing commentaries, filing suits, holding placards at marches, and running for president of the United States.

Do you believe restrictions should be put on the flying headbutt? ABC News is reporting that according to Chris Benoit’s father, Michael, tests conducted by Julian Bailes of the Sports Legacy Institute revealed that Chris’ brain was severely damaged and resembled that of an 85-year-old Alzheimer patient. Bailes said that the damage was caused by chronic concussions and head trauma suffered over Benoit’s career as a professional wrestler. As we all know, Benoit was famous for his flying headbutt off of the top roe which puts stress on the brain every time that it is executed. This study certainly could very well give us the reasons why Chris Benoit committed the acts that he did.
What do you think about this soldiers letter? From: J.D. Englehart, (Former) SPC. 1st Infantry Division Sent: January 14, 2006 People often ask me, "If you are so against the war and couldn't stand the army, why did you ever join in the first place?" I have answered the same every time, that perhaps I was naïve, that I wanted a chance to see the world and earn college money. Or that I felt trapped in a dead-end town and needed a chance to escape, or that I was curious to live life as a soldier and gain military knowledge. These answers are never enough for some people, yet so many young Americans end up in the military the same exact way. I understand that I joined just prior to September 11, 2001. Indeed, I was naïve then to think that we lived in a somewhat peaceful world. Soldiers at that time joined for other reasons. Maybe soldiers who join now are ones who want to fight in a war. After much personal debate, I have learned that my resistance to war and empire was forged by the army itself. Since the very beginning of my four year military experience, I was simply a very different soldier. In basic training, instead of attending church service with the rest of the privates for two hours of relaxation, I was in the barracks mopping the floors and cleaning toilets. I would not fake a belief in god for petty rewards. While other soldiers were marching in rank and file to eat chow, I was off to the side, being smoked by a drill sergeant--doing pushups and flutter-kicks--for refusing to yell out cadence like a dopey high school cheerleader. As time went by, it never got any easier. I had a very hard time with the concept of conformity. While other soldiers in the barracks were watching porno's and hitting the beer bong with their frat-buddies, I was sitting on my bunk in a dark corner of a room reading Noam Chomsky. Instead of spending endless hours spit-shining my boots or ironing my BDU's, I was playing punk riffs on my guitar or perhaps writing poetry. I would routinely skip out on company "mandatory fun days" and go back to my room and sleep. Beetle Bailey was my hero. Instead of spending every weekend going to the same mundane hip-hop clubs and discos, starting fights and trying to get laid, I was backpacking across Europe with other like-minded friends. We traveled way beyond the limits that a mileage pass would allow. We were openly learning about other cultures, exploring a great unknown, and living life to the fullest while we had it. Instead of hating Iraqis for their strange ways and resentful behavior, I was trying to imagine the world in which they lived, even before an unwelcome US occupation forced them to live in a war zone. While other soldiers were bragging about how many hajis they had waxed in the last engagement, I was carefully pondering what the longtime ramifications would be for such inane bloodshed. Instead of coming back from missions and going straight to the PlayStation, I was writing what I saw and how I felt on this blog. It is true that I was a very different breed in the army. However, there were others like me. We were far and few between, we were misfits in an olive-drab green hell. We solidified, became friends, and became brothers. Most of the soldiers in my platoon were this way, outcasts. We opposed the war, sometimes openly. We were never persecuted for our beliefs because, although we were angry, we were a whole. We were a group of covert-subverts and our chain of command hated it. I came home from Iraq and was awarded combat spurs, a glorious achievement for a cavalry scout. I contemplated the true meaning of these spurs, this icon of war. Spurs that were worn by soldiers on horses; who rode with General Custer and decimated the American Indian population. Spurs painted with the blood of five major wars of the 20th century, some wars to fight empire and others to promote it. What would I do with these spurs? I decided to hold on to them. They meant much more than archaic tradition and a turbulent history. Somehow they meant comradery and friendship. My brothers-in-arms and I had earned them together, and they symbolize a token of deep understanding of a past we will share together, until the day we die. Today's public thinks that every American soldier fighting in Iraq supports the war and that his/her morale and trust in command is very high. However, in my experience, this was simply not true. I encountered dissent on many levels (For one example, see post below: Free Speech for Soldiers, Sept.21, 2004). Even soldiers who supported the army and loved their job hated being in a conflict they could not understand. Some soldiers did understand, and were resentful for it. The morale for the majority of our brigade was relatively low. I rarely met anyone who wanted to fight in Iraq, and the only ones who truly wanted to stay were the high echelon officers who seemed more concerned about their careers than the overall mission. Some may wonder where these disgruntled soldiers are. I believe that they are a part of every social fabric of our country. I've certainly met more angry veterans than I have boastful ones. Some missing limbs, some missing friends, others missing innocence. Angry and confused. Cannot find the healthcare they need. Cannot find jobs. Can no longer find a place to fit in our society. Some of these soldiers are still in the military and fear repercussions of speaking out. Soldiers who served several missions in Iraq and want no more. Soldiers tied to the war machine with no hope of escape. They wait for their day of freedom, hoping to avoid another stop-loss. They want out before death takes them first. So many silent voices and whispered stories. I know one veteran who refuses to talk about his experience because he thinks no one will understand and it won't change anything anyways. Another veteran I know candy-coats his experience so he won't disappoint his conservative family members. These soldiers are everywhere, but choose to remain silent because they fear ostracism from a war crazed, jingoistic public. The media plays with everyone's mind, convincing everyone that everything is okay as long as you trust in the government's overall plans for victory in Iraq. But when one asks a veteran for the truth, this optimistic fairy tale of ultimate victory seems a hard pill to swallow. I am not trying to speak for every soldier and veteran. I know that there are those out there who support the war effort and feel good about being in Iraq. However, in my experience, I have not met too many who feel this way. There is a rising tide of antiwar sentiments growing in this country. Fifty-two percent of America now feels it was not worth going to war with Iraq, while fifty-eight percent disapprove of Bush's handling of the war, and now a whopping fifty-three percent actually support a Bush impeachment. (CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll/Zogby Poll. Jan. 6-8, 2006). One would have to wonder how these polls might look if more and more soldier accounts were brought to the public's attention. There is a truth that lies buried under the Pentagon propaganda machine and the misinformation provided by corporate media and a dishonest administration, and that truth lies in the experience of combat soldiers. In the end I know that my experience may have been different, or that maybe I was a very different kind of soldier. But it was the army that molded my contempt for authority and distrust of a feudalistic government that pulls the strings. Through my army involvement I met others like me who felt much of the same way. We were dissidents, but never un-American. On the contrary, we knew the difference between following orders and thinking for ourselves. Ultimately, there is no difference between love for one's country and the willingness to oppose a government that institutes war, fear and oppression on any level. There are many soldiers and veterans who share the same feelings as me and others I met along the way. Some are even in the ranks of the military. Someday all the soldiers will come home and when they do, their stories and sentiments will follow. Only then will a better understanding of the truth be known. -- J.D. Englehart

Could you please help me correct my grammar on my US history essay? By the time they changed their owners, they lost everything but their bodies. Everyone in the family had to work or no food would be sold for that person by the land owner (The Journal of Negro Education, 46-65). For that reason, Washington taught his people at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama in agriculture and specific career that colored people needed for their everyday life. He did not write anything related to the difficulties that farmers face when they sharecrop from their owners. When the slaves were freed and given the promise of equality, they discovered that racism and intolerance kept them from achieving any sort of equal standing with white Americans.
Should i be concerned? I am considering taking up classes @ PCDI (Professional Career Development Institute. I have researched the school and found it to be credible. Especially since it is accredited. My main reason for siding with PCDI is financial. It is affordable. But, i want to make sure it is worth the money. I have heard mostly good things about the school and the US department of education recognizes them as being accredited. Should I be worried?
im going no where, im sick of school i wanna go work on getting myself a degree at a institute? I live in NZ so everything else is different compared the folks in the US. I am my second to last year ( year 12 ) repeating mostly year 11 subjects because i failed and didnt get enough NCEA Credits for Level 1 ( National Cetificate of Education 1) , ive already made plans, ive planned to study at school until i get my NCEA 2 and leave and go for a apprenceship in IT for a year ( you study and get payed ), then go to the local insitiute and study 2-3 years so i can get a diploma/degree in IT . I wanna be a IT Techician/Consultant. Alot of people at my high school drop out and head and study somewhere else. I am taking mostly subjects that arent benefiting me and have taken subjects i dont really need because the subjects i have taken arent necessary to get into my career. But i barely learn anything,i cant focus, i am sick of school it just doesnt teach me anything and i think im just wasting my time. I get bad grades mostly and sometimes good.. but i am very excited into progressing my education elsewhere. Since school just isnt teaching me everything and i just slack off mostly, i know i wont be able to focus. But i still unsure . I have discussed with my mother and she has agreed. My older sister is on her last year finishing her university bacholor degree. But i know i wont be able to handle going to University, my grades and my laziness will reframe me going to Uni,plus i will have to stay an extra year at high school to get to Uni with great grades and NCEA level 3. I hear they pick only 50-100 people out of 150 into University. But i been thinking for a while and decided to do a career in IT. But i am unsure if you should progress it or not. Alot of people i know have left school and are studing elsewhere and they said that it was the best decision ever and that its very enjoyable compared to school. So do you think i should progress my education elsewhere after i get NCEA 2?Is it a smart decision?
Can someone give me revisions suggestions (clarity, organization, details, order of paragraphs, etc) Thanks? sorry for the ambiguous paragraph breaks.
