Are good grades required to get into Western Career College? I tried to do research online, and even tried contacting the school but they didn't exactly answer me. I'm currently enrolled in a local community college and I'm majoring to become a dental hygienist. my biggest concern is that my grades weren't too good back when I was in high school... would this affect my admission?
Western Career College assessment test? Has anyone taken the Western Career College assessment test? If so, how is it? I tend to have my most difficult mind boggling problems in math. How is the math? What are some example problems?
Western Career College Vs. Unitek - Pharmacy Tech? Hi, I recently tried to sign up with Western Career College in the bay area, and they gave me a nice tour of the place, showed me everything, everything looked good, but their asking for almost $25,000 which will go through a financial aid..... Now what I did a research, and it seems like Unitek AND Bosten Reed College, charge ALOT less than W.C.C[Western Career College]....... Unitek - $1,750 Boston Reed - $1,695 W.C.C - $24,355 But it seems as though W.C.C gives me an Associates Degree in becoming a pharmacy tech...... Now I don't know if the other colleges give a degree, but that sounded good..... I'm very confused and I need help with this, so someone please guide me as to what I should do... By the way, I live in California so the Pharmacies out here DON'T provide training, or pay for your school. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, Western Career College is a 14 Month program... The other two are 6 to 7 months ONLY! But I don't think their going to give me the right training, or degrees... Does anyone know? Please help! Thanks!!
Western Career College...Vet? ok im about to graduate high school and im aiming for a 4-year university BUT incase i dont get in any of the schools i want to (cuz right now i dont exactly meet all the requirements cuz of my low test scores and all that) i was thinking of considering Wester Career College, but how long would it take to finish the vet tech program??? i want to know cuz i want to have a 2nd plan, and i wa thinking that if i t doesnt take that much time i can go to the College (the one in sacramento) and that way i have some experience and then continue my education as in becoming a Veterinarian and go to Vet School at UC Davis you see i want to start working in earning money as well to pay for Vet school cuz its expensive and even though i know theres loans and scholarships and all that i want to have some money incase of anything so yeah, the website of western career college doesnt give me much info so does anyone know how long it takes??
Is Western Career College (Carrington college) a good school for Criminal Justice? Hello, I was reading online about Western Career College's Criminal Justice program and it sounds impressive (with the opportunity of graduating with an AA within a year and half). But Their program seems to be more focused on "security" or "loss prevention" rather than on becoming a sworn police officer. Their placement program looks like they are completely focused on only security jobs as well. I am looking to become a police officer and not just security. Would going to this College help me with my goals or would a community college 2 year AA program work better? Anyone know hands on what this school is like? What the course is like? Thank you! David
Should I got to Western Career college to become a pharmacy Technician? I am in California by myself , currently as a homeless youth so on my Fafsa I have an efc of 0. I am currently working fulltime at Kohls and scheduled to live on my own in July with about 65% of my rent being paid for by HPRP. I don't think chabot college has any pharmacy class openings because when i check online for pharmacy for the 2010 semester no classes come up in the search. Is their a better cheaper way to get on the road to a Pharmacy Technician than Western Career college? By the way its located at the same mall that I work at.
ANYONE know any info on the Dental Hygiene program @ Western Career College? I am currently enrolled in a community college and looked at an application to a local school for the dental hygiene program. they are requiring ALOT of classes, and I wont finish them until 3 years. But if i were to start Western Career College this fall I'll be able to get out within 2 years. Does any one have any info about the school and program? Please help! thanks !

respiratory therapist program in western carrier college? Hello, i applied in the San Francisco bay area community colleges (ohlone, skyline and foothill) for the respiratory therapist program. But, did get through. My GPA was above 3 and i have finished all my requirement for the program. Now, i have only one option for the respiratory therapy program and that is western career college in pleasant hill. But the problem is that: they ask me to do the science classes like (chem., microbiology, anatomy, biology and physiology) again in their school, which i finished in the community college. So, please help me for my decision. Is western carrier college is a good school for the respiratory therapy program? Has anyone gone to western career college for the respiratory therapy program? Would anyone recommend going to western career college for respiratory therapist program? after completing the program, is it hard to find the job in the market? whatever information you guy's have, please share with me. because they charge me lots. thanks. i will be very thankful to you.

There is a western career college by me that has classes on this, so im wondering do i like take classes on this and get some kind of certificate, then im ready to go? I'd like to become a Vet Technician... should I go to community college or a private institution? I'm looking into going to school for a Vet Technician program in California. At first I was looking at Western Career College but then I found several community colleges that offer the same 2 year program (still approved by the AVMA) for a fraction of the cost of a private institution like Western College. My question is, is it worth it to pay the extra money to go to a private school or can I get the same quality of education if I took the program at a community college? Are employers going to be more likely to hire me if I went to a private school? If I can get the same degree at a community college and it won't negatively affect my ability to get a job I'd much rather do that.
Need help looking for a career!? I have been working at a office for 2 years now, and i LOVE my job. But now that i can go to college i am having difficulties figuring out what path i want to pursue. Dental Assisting Career? I am really intrested in becoming a dental assistant! I've looked into Heald and Western Career College. I know school will be pricey where ever you go.. But a 10 month program is 18,000 and I just don't have that kind of money! So does anyone know of a good program I could go through? or try out? I've very intrested! Thank you!
What other options do i have for school funding? i have been trying to go to Western Career College and i have not been able to get any funding. i am 19 and live with my mom. i have filled out the FAFSA, but i cannot receive funding because my mom has not filed her taxes. this seems to be THE hurdle in going to school. i have applied for countless loans; all of which have declined me. i tried Stafford loans, but WCC is not on their approved lenders list. i feel like the really is nothing to do. does anyone have any ideas on possible funding with which to go to school?
U.S. Career Institute or Penn Foster? I am currently going to Western Career College. But I just had a son, and have alot of things going on at home, and think it would be better to do something online so i can be home with my son while my fiance works. I have heard things about U.S. Career Institute and Penn Foster. I know i would like to do medical transcription i think but I do not know which school. If someone would help I would appreciate it.
i feel like im being used for my money by my college? in december i signed up for western career college for dental assisting but my main goal was to be a dental hygienist and i told my representative that but i have to take dental assisting first before i take dental hygiene so when i signed the papers with financial aid my total is 18 grand that i have to pay back. its now february and im find out that dental hygiene is going to be another 56 grand now i know western career charges more because its faster then regular community colleges dental assisting is only ten months and dental hygiene is only 18 months but idk if its worth it to get in that much debt im only 19 so if i do choose to i dont wanna be 40 by the time im able to pay it all off. once i graduate from dental assisting i plan on going straight into dental hygiene. Does Anyone out there have advice or opinions about this.
going back to college at 33? I have desided to go back to school to become a vet tech. I have graduated college with an AAS in computer software but it wasn't my passion and it hasn't worked out for me at all. My family is happy and says I should go. Hubby's family thinks I shouldn't because the last private school I went to didn't work. This school, yes its private, Western Career College, is differnt, much different. They seem to be a real school unlilke that last school. This time I did research and have called hospitals around to make sure they hire from that school and they all say they do. I do have a student loan in a - balance but my parents are willing to help me again with this school so I won't take out any loans, cant. Do I go? This is really something I have always wanted to do but I'm afraid it will be faliure #2 THANK YOU!
Should I stay in private College or switch to Community College? I'm attending a school called Western Career College. It's a vocational school. It's expensive because it's a private school and most programs are accelerated. I'm trying to save money for a car due toi an accident I was in. There is no way I can save for a car and make payments at school (which I have to do for a balance my loans won't cover) I've already been accepted but I'm not sure if I should go to community because it's cheaper.????? Help please. It's a serious question. Thank you :)
I want to become an RN, I have a few questions about how to get into the career path.? So, I currently attend Western Career College to become a pharmacy tech. Is it hard getting an RN job at a clinic? Hi, I have an associate's degree and I'm planning to take the LVN program & then the RN bridge program at Western Career College (bay area CA). After doing research and reading nurses' experiences, I'd really like to work in a clinic instead of bedside. I heard since the workload is greater at a hospital there can be more tension between workers than at a clinic. Is it harder getting a job at a clinic/doctor's office than at a hospital? Also, I want to work in pediatrics; is it possible to get your first training job in a pediatric facility? Thanks for any knowledge you might have..!

Need help with Financial Aid paying my rent while I'm a student.? The college I'll be attending (Western Career College) tells me that I can't get Financial Aide to pay my apartment rent while I'm a student. But I hear quite often about students getting Financial Aid for housing. I'll be pursuing an education for Dental Assistant and then Dental Hygenist. If anyone can give me any tips, that would be great. Thank you.
How do i pay for this. (financial aid)? Ok so i want to go to western career college to become a dental hygienist. Western career college is a career school yes i do know that community college is cheaper but the college program has a 5 year wait list. The cost of going to this career college is 55,000 dollars. How would i pay for this? There is financial aid but i dont think that i qualify because of my parent. Where can i find out about financial aid? Or what can i do?

18 month courses for pharmacy? I know colleges like Western Career College and CSI College claim to be accredited by the US Dept of Education. I have looked on the site and I didn't find either school for the state of California. Dental assistant questions? How many years of college do I need to get a degree in dental assisting? Do I need to go to a university for it or can I go to someplace like Western Career college for it? Are there any required classes I need to take in high school for it? I've also heard that depending on where you study dental assisting, you'll just get a degree but not take a state test, & that taking the state test for it is vital. Is this true?

Associate Degree to become RN vs. BSN? Can you work in the same departments with an associates degree in nursing as a nurse with a BSN? Are there any restrictions to those with an associates? I do plan on going through a RN to BSN program, but I'm just wondering.. Also as long as you have the prereqs(anatomy, etc.) done in a community college will the University accept a degree from a private school such as Western career college? Thanks! How do i deal with having a child at age 25 ? My life has been a rollercoaster already... thanks.? My life has been a rollercoaster of emotion, from losing my first girlfriend my 9th grade year, to also losing 10+ friends over the next 4-5 years from my graduating class. Suffering from drug addiction (i sold drugs did not abuse them too much my self.. cocaine, oxycotton, alchohol, marijuana). My 20 year old girlfriend is now having a child, we both decided we did not want kids, i was to believe she was on the pill etc etc.. But im way over that.... now its to a point (she is 14 weeks in).. where we are having relationship problems (we have been, and her lying to me about having a kid etc did not help)... So she is now telling me i cant have anything to do with my kid.. and she doesnt want to ever see me unless we are dating and all that. I finally got my life on track a year and a half ago.. i work in the high tech field (no this is not a DeVry or Western career college commercial).... I have no idea how to deal with this..i just want to revert to my old life of drug abuse 24get
80,000 student loan to become an RN plus i have other personal loans to pay off too. is it a good idea? I'm currently attending school and working full time to get my RN degree. i know the RN program is filled with people waiting. i don't want to be in that waiting list plus my grades aren't that great so i know my chances is low. i want to attend Western Career College and get my LVN than take their upper mobility program to get my RN. this will cost close to 80,000 dollars in student loan. I'm 100% sure that if i get my RN my start pay would be 49 dollars an hour with the company i'm working for right now. the problem is i think that this student loan is way too much. its so close to a loan that a doctor major person would be taking out. i won't be getting pay as much an a MD. is it a crazy idea? plus on top of that i have a personal 15,000 dollar loan and a car payment loan of 40,000. what do you guys think? am i able to do it? i know this is an answer i'll have to ask myself but is it a good idea or not. thanks
How do I decide which career is good for me? Im a freshman in high school, and I want to start thinking about what career i want to pursue. I have owned & ridden horses, western and english for almost all my life, and it is very important that horses can still be a part of my life, whatever I choose. I know that i want to go to college, whatever I decide to do, that way i have a degree. It would be very good if the college had some kind of riding team. Anyway, some of my interests are: horses & riding animals (dogs and cats mostly) photography journalism(i am newsreporter for my 4H club currently) I would LOVE to be a riding instructor, run my own stables, etc, but i dont think that would bring enough money in to support me, and the horses. I might want to be a journalist or a photographer, but im afraid that i wouldnt get to work with horses very much, Whatever i do, i want to have flexible hours and a good salary. Any suggestions for careers or anything are great! Thank you very much!
How can I go about learning multiple languages while finding a stable career? I'm in love with foreign language and with Western Europe. I would love to learn French and Italian on top of my solid ability in Spanish. I'm headed off to college next year, and I want to learn all three (though obviously not all in college). What should I do for a solid career that will enable me just to travel to such countries and speak the languages I love? What about studying linguistics?
How do I start a music career at Singapore? I am a western classical guitarist. I have completed my 3rd grade with Trinity College. I am also working as software developer. But the income is not sufficient for me. Would it be possible to start a part-time music career at a place like Singapore?

I want to go to college... have NO IDEA how. I live in Western New York... suggestions? Ok, I feel like I'm wasting time. I've always wanted to get started with college and such, but... feel like I missed something, lol. It seems to be general knowlege, but I have NO IDEA how to enroll in a college, or even what to go for. I don't know what words like "bacholer's," "undergraduate," or "associate's" mean. What is a course? What is a major? What is a minor!? I have no idea. I feel like I'm stupid, lol. But really - how does everyone else AUTOMATICALLY know these things? Possible career choices? In a perfect world, I'd like to get into entertainment ( www.youtube.com/viiviiixxtactic ). I've also considered cooking/baking. I've considered, after schooling and such, opening my own bakery/restaurant...? I graduated high school in 05, GED. I just missed too much school, but am actually really smart (math, writing, etc). Oh, and PS - there's no way I'm getting financial aid. My parents make too much, but they're not going to help pay. So...? What should I do!?

What is a career that i may like? I've come here asking this because I've taken online career test which say i should be a pipe layer which I would hate. These are my interest: MUSIC is number one in my life. I know how to set up any string instrument, and like to play (guitar and piano mostly) a variety of instruments and would say that I am good at it. I also have experience recording and mixing music for local bands, and helping get their demos on the radio. second, I love random history facts! I know so many unusual things about history from the eastern and western world that I never have anyone to talk about it to, because no one I know shares the same intreset as me. I love education television and learning. I also am a very quick learner. I hate working in factories, and I dont like jobs that dont involve interaction with people or music. I am getting ready to go to college or tech. school and was wondering if you'd have any ideas of a career i may be interested in! Thank you!
any advice on moving to southern CA for college? hey, im moving to southern california from the east coast and id like some input from a CA native on this....im thinking of going to SDSU or LBSU. i want to live on a coastal region so i can experience all ive heard about it. if i went to LB i'd commute from coastal orange county. if i went to SDSU (not ucsd for tuition purposes) id commute from western SD. for a 21 year old who's fairly quiet and laid back, a part-time musician, wants to meet a few new people and doesnt want a party every night...what advice would a native have about the pros/cons of the two places. or just advice. either would work. thanks. maybe someone out there knows the local scenes better than myself. and im also an avid sports follower, to the point where my career might involve them. if that factors into anything..... thanks.

I love education television and learning. I also am a very quick learner. I hate working in factories, and I dont like jobs that dont involve interaction with people or music. I am getting ready to go to college or tech. school and was wondering if you'd have any ideas of a career i may be interested in! Thank you!
Please help me with career ideas!? I've come here asking this because I've taken online career test which say i should be a pipe layer which I would hate. These are my interest: MUSIC is number one in my life. I know how to set up any string instrument, and like to play (guitar and piano mostly) a variety of instruments and would say that I am good at it. Need some serious advice on which way to pursue a horse career.? I'm 17 and currently live in N.Y. and am planning for go out of state for college to become an equine specialist. I'm hoping this will help me to reach my ultimate dream of being an owner/trainer (of horses and people wanting to learn how to ride)/breeder of horses, specifically Friesians but I love all horses. I hope one day to own my very own ranch...However, I have no money saved up for college as of yet and basically no experience with horses. I am hopefully going to get a job and every penny I get from that will go towards my college and career fund. I volunteered to exercise and groom 2 horses and a pony about a year ago now. One of the horses is an ex-thoroughbred trotter who is extremely skittish and the other an extremely aggressive paint horse. I've only ridden about 7 times in my entire life and I've never ridden western style, only english. I would really like lessons but there aren't any around my area and the three that are, are way too expensive. I'm wondering if I should continue trying to become an equine specialist and hopefully learn what I need to about horses on the way and hopefully, eventually work off my college debt. Or should I just get another job and hopefully one day get enough money to reach my dream on a different path. All I know is that I have loved horses since I was two and will do anything to get there. I just would like it to be sooner than later. I know nothing is ever easy and I'm willing to work my hardest. I just don't know which path to choose. Thank you for your time and any advice at all is most helpful. Actually I think I've read possibly everything there is on horses. Like I've said the only thing I'm lacking is the actual experience. I see tons of people out there that have successful ranches, even on here in yahoo questions. How do you do it? The fact that it IS so tough and they made it amazes me. I'm not afraid to live in the gutter, I've lived in it all my life. I just need those darn horse riding lessons xD *joking* Thanks for the advice by the way :)

I know most of these classes but there are some that im not sure about so I thought id see if anyone else knew anything about them. I didnt do very well my freshman year and should have taken some of these classes by now. ( Algrebra 1, BIO 1 ) Also, will any of these look good on a college application or w/e. I plan on going to a Junior College for 2 years so I can get some of the other classes done there, then I plan of going to a 4 year University. Career: 'Architecture'
3-2 Engineering Programs for College? I'm looking to go into either Chemistry or Engineering for my major in college (currently a senior in highschool and beginning my application process). I have yet to decide whether I should enter into a 3-2 program if I choose to pursue engineering. Can anyone with experience in this area give me feedback on if a 3-2 program is really worth it, or would it be better to major in physics for an engineering career. If I want the typical college experience (being involved with the campus, students, faculty ect) should I avoid a 3-2 program? Do these programs allow me enough time to participate in intramural sports as well? I'm just really looking for feedback on the positives and negatives of a 3-2 program. The colleges that I am applying to are : Carleton Oberlin Furman University (really just a college) Ohio Weslyn Denison Macalster University of Minnesota and maybe Case Western Reserve
where is best to Teach English in Western Europe? Hey guys, heres my situation. I am an American college student working on a degree in English and I have ambitions of moving to western Europe with my brother and mother for a few years if not permanently. Wen intend on taking a good sum of money (around 100k) to either start up a small business or just as a safety net till we can live off income from a regular job. My questions are; with no special skills or experience in a specific trafe or career, if teaching English the only line of work we may be able to find? Also,on the subject of teaching English, a few quetions about that; 1- Is a Tesol degree better than a B.A in English or shoudl I get both? 2- Which country in Western Europe (i.e. France, Spain, Italy or Germany) offers the most opportunity in finding Enlish teaching work? 3-Which countries may pay best and which of these countries are most affordable? Thats all, if anyone can offer any great websitesor useful links it would be much apreciated :) Also guys, I am well aware of ESL cafe sit. And lastly, I am also considering Venezuela and Brazil, how do these two countries compare to Spain, france, Germany or Italy i terms of living standards and ability to find enough work teaching English or otherwise :) Thank u guys soo much :)
