Is there a good on-line free career assessment test out there? Please none of those silly "like" or "dislike" tests. They get on my nerves and aren't very accurate. (I've taken so many of those types of tests and all came out with different results.) I took a test that was really accurate and also gave me results of my learning style, what majors I should consider, what type of worker I am, etc. but I lost the website......please help.....! For Dana: tests like that probably work for you but for me, I'm picky. I want a test that will match my personality, work style, etc. with the perfect career. Those tests are good with finding your personality but they aren't the best for matching both interests and skills/abilities. But thanks anyways...!

Free career skill assessments...I NEED THEM!? My last post didn't receive many answers but I'm still trying... I need pre-employement assessments for all job areas (IT, accounting, sales etc), and I just CAN'T afford to purchase existing products on the market since most of them cost at least $40 EACH. And the free ones only relate to personality tests which aren't industry-specific enough. So......
PLEASE HELP: I need your opinions.? Originally I was intending to become a business major. My career assessment tests pointed me in that area as well. I am currently a freshmen in a college 5 hrs away from my house. Here, I am thinking about doing a major in Intercultural Communications and Spanish. Next semester, I have the ability to go to Mexico for FREE the entire semester. But again, I was intending to major in Business. I can't do Business at this college because I am only of average intelligence. The business teachers here are absolutely awful so I would transfer back to a college near my house. Oh, at my current college I work on statistical programs and this could be very useful in the future. But, I probably won't be able to do this if I go back home because there are few opportunities there. What would you do?
Biology/Genetics vs Law? I love both, I just can't decide... About me: - I hate sitting all day - I love arguing and am very good at it (although some people can get annoyed at how argumentative I am) - I had a 110% in my biology class (my favorite part being genetics) - I'm good at math, but I absolutely HATE IT - When I took the career assessment test in high school, it told me I should be a Genetics Counselor... but I don't even know anything about being a genetics counselor... and is there anything else I can pursue in the genetics area besides becoming a counselor? - I feel if I become a lawyer I can: 1) Grow further and maybe work for the government in the Supreme Court and 2) Do more good for the United States than if I just researched genetics Please give me your advice! What career is best for me? So, I'm the kind of person who likes to work with animals or people. But I like to have control. I'm graduating from a private boarding school a year early and I'm confused on what to major in. I'm interested in cosmetology, veterinary services, dental hygiene, nursing, fine arts, and culinary. I DO NOT want to do a lot of school, at all. I'm kind of a free spirited person. I like different results for every situation. I'd like to have one major job to make a career out of, and lots of little jobs I could do. Most likely I will end up in Vernal, Utah. So what would be good for me? wall mart assessment test? i just applied at walmart and it didn't require me to take the assessment test. I have applied around 6 months ago and took the test before. when i clicked on the assessment link it says "Assessments You have finished all required assessments. I just graduated College: I need a nudge in what to do next, help? BACKGROUND INFO: I got a BA in journalism, and I did pretty good at it. But i'm not looking to work for a city newspaper. I'd be ok with working for a magazine. I graduated, but I feel so empty and pessimistic right now. My mom won't shut up about how immigrants become 4.0 gpa doctors at med school without much english. I'm not 4.0 but I did my best. I wanted to work for the film industry and try video editing (I know a little final cut from my BA program) but I don't think it's enough to get me a real job. I have a temporary job now though. I spent the last couple of weeks trying to find "plans." I looked into getting an associate's degree in radiology, but my friend who's doing the program now at a local community college says they require a 4.0 student, with A's in health and science classes. I thought about doing programming, but he said it was hard (i really respect and admire him because he's so well-rounded ... if he says he can't do it, I'm screwed because I don't know anything about programming .....just html or css). QUESTION: ---------~~~~~~~~~~~ Now I'm at a couple of last options: I could get into teaching English in Japan, or some kind of teaching program then go for a MA in teaching. (all my life every friend and assessment test says i should be a teacher ... but i personally don't like it because almost my whole family are a bunch of teachers, and I want to do something new) OR i could go into Public administration and get a government job (but who's hiring this kind of position? How's the hiring rate?) I thought about "technology management" because that doesn't need programming, but where is a good school that'll train me for that through an Master's program and not a trade/associate's degree? (because I can only get funding for a Master's program and not associate degree). I'm pretty lost right now, and no career counselor I find is able to help me. Please don't hate or flame this post. I'm just really lost. I want a good paying job, so I can at least dedicate my free time to writing novels or something. What career i should go for? I'm not sure what career i should go for. I don't know what i'm interested in so i tried taking a career test online (free) but they're all lies. Career assessment for free? Probably a stupid question, but I am looking for a totally free career assessment. The one I took at the workforce commission sucked and gave me no information really. I just spent 15 minutes taking another one online by MAPP and thought it was free, but ofcourse it only gave me half the report for free. Is there a way to take a free career test?
