For many various reasons, I need/want something close to the same salary. As I've taken many many years to get here, my income has been complimentary to my experience. I've found myself in big trouble, as I've focused my skills entirely into IT and my resume is not "sellable" outside of IT. I'm in a rut and I think the only way out is to take a substantial pay cut.

What career should I choose environmental engineer or chemical engineer? Well I have one more year of high school left and have narrowed my choice of careers to study in college to these two or three: Chemical Engineer Environmental Engineer Aerospace Engineer Which one should I choose (I'm a math/science guy), which one is easier (to survive and possibly earn PhD) , which career is least chosen by other people, and any other reasons you may have. Thanks in advance and I plan on going to NC State for engineering.

What is the difference between total career points and retirement points in the military? I spent 3 years, 9 months and 10 days on active duty (was released 3 months early for graduate school) That gives me on my retirement printout 1371 retirement points. Then, I joined the guard and received another 164. Total retirement points 1535 for a total 5 "good" years. However, I also did some correspndence corses which I was told to turn in to the retirement person which shows up on my printout as "ACCP Misc Points" and is added to the "Total Career Points" column--NOT the "Total Points for Retirement Pay" column. Question--what is the difference between "career points" and "retirement points?" If career points are not calculted for retirement pay, what are they good for? To the one responder so far--I am sure you know what you are talking about--however, I have no idea what "non-retirement bond" means.

Are there mechanical engineering career surveys that identify the specific jobs in mechanical engineering that the person is compatible with based on interests and other important factors? Not a link to other links, a link to an actual site specific to mechanical engineering careers please.
What career is for me and how do I get there? I am a freshman in college and I don't know what to go for. I like to work with people, I would like a job where I felt like I made a difference in someones life, I like to write also, I don't care too much about money, and I like to work in a competetive atmosphere that will challenge my mind. Any suggestions on a career to go for?

How do I start a new career in Skate 2 for PS3? So i finished the career, and want to start a new one. I finished all the freeskate challenges online, and I have every trophy except for online legend. If I delete my save game data, will it mess up any of my trophies? What career should I pursue that will accept my indiviuality? I want to have a career where my individuality wont be a problem. I have many piercings and tattoo's and I dye my hair crazy colors. thats the thing i realize i wont be respected in business careers but that doesn't matter cause its never been what I've wanted. What are some good resources for career counseling? I need some help! I need to find a new career. I am highly educated and a hard worker, but I have come to the realization that the career pathway I am on now will not lead me to the life goals I have. I am very lost at how to go about this. I would like to find someone who could sit down with me, look at my education/resume, and help give me some ideas about what kind of careers are even out there. I don't mind pursuing other classes/training that will help make me more marketable, but I don't necessarily want another degree right now. The thing is, I feel like I don't know anything about what kind of jobs exist and what kinds of background you need to do these jobs, let alone how to break into a new industry. I can write a top-notch resume/cover letter and can fend for myself in an interview, I don't need help on that side. I need help on the side of matching my skills to what jobs exist and knowing which jobs would provide an adequate salary range. Also, what might these services cost? I have spent these last five years pursuing the idealism of my college days and am realizing that it just doesn't pay the bills. I don't have a lot of extra money for this kind of thing, but I am willing to pay what I do have for some good results.
What career opportunities are there in nutrition? I have just graduated with a bachelors degree in nutrition and food science. I did not plan on taking this any further. Now I am taking the year off to apply to medical school. Medicine is my passion, but my chances of acceptance do not look good, so I am looking into a masters in human nutrition, and going on to get a PhD. I figure that I'll still be involved in healthcare, even if it is not my first choice. Besides teaching and research, do you know of any career opportunities in nutrition and food science with either a masters or PhD? Thank you in advance for your answers.

One of the things that I find interesting but I know I would be too emotional to have the job is a child abuse/neglect social worker. I am considering becoming a pediatric nurse yet I like teaching. I just want to know what other occupations there are that consist of working with children. I do also like helping adults by giving them advice and such. So I would like to hear what other jobs anyone can come up with.
