I have job profiles on usajobs, dc jobs, washington post jobs, careerbuilder, monster, thingamajob, and i currently search directly on every lisitng i can find. What are some things i can do differentl to land a job?

What's a person to do to help land a job if he has felony drug and OWI convictions, and is released? I went to tech school for building maintenance and care while incarcerated, and went to tech school for welding, since being released in August 2006. I'm registered with 22 temp agencies and have applied at 50 + different employers, and I get no calls, or the temp services tell you that it is better for you to find a job on your own. Job.com, Career builders.com, Indeed .co , Monster.com, Thingamajob.com, all refer me to Aerotek Staffing for jobs and Aerotek tells me to find a job on my own. The rest tell me that I don't have a work history for the last four years. I was incarcerated and worked under the Wisconsin work release program, but future employers cannot get your work history from the Wisconsin prison system. I go to AA,NA, church and I'm involved with the Salvation Army and International relief organizations, and still nobody wants to take a chance on hiring me. What more can I do to convince them that my life has turned around completely?

Does anyone work as a recruiter for Aerotek? I came across a job listing on Careerbuilder as an entry-lever recruiter for Aerotek. When I clicked "email your resume", it instead directed me to this website called thingamajob.com and made me set up an account in order to apply. Something about it seemed sketchy and I'll probably get a crapload of spam now. I searched online and came up with mainly negative reviews from people seeking work through the agency. Has anyone worked for or interviewed for this recruiter position?

IF you have your resume on Career builder DELETE IT!!!!!! Seems Careerbuilder is THE site scammers and fraudsters just LOVE!!!! I received my second job notification today from yet andother fraudulent site!! The first was Cargo Express, this one Cargo Expert USA, Inc.!! BOTH came from the Careerbuilder site!!! Both of these sites have been reported to the FTC for fraud!!! Just wanted to make people aware of the risks of posting your resume on Careerbuilder!!! Remember -- scammers/frauds just LOVE this site!!!
