When did Freedom Arms become part of Magnum Research? According to a new comer to the hunting section, Magnum Research makes Freedom Arms. When did this happen? This was completely off of my radar. Details please! Thanks. I've read both companies web pages for info, there is none. I just took my Freedom Arms 454 out of the pistol safe to see if it had IMI or IWI or Magnum Research anywhere on it, it doesn't.
What is the deal with the magnum research desert eagle? Every time i go to look up info on desert eagles it always suggests this site and I constantly here nothing but trash talk on one of in my opinion the best hand guns i have ever shot and owned. I just don't understand it. are the trash talkers people who have actually ever owned one and shot it or just broke people who cant afford it? I have owned several guns and been shooting since i was a kid so i know quality when i see it and the desert eagle is a quality firearm.
Has anyone sent their Desert Eagle to the Magnum Research custom shop to get refinished? I am thinking of sending my Desert Eagle back to Magnum Research to get it refinished and I wanted to know if anyone has done it before and if they were pleased with the result. Any answers would be helpful.
what are your views /opinions on the magnum research Micro Desert eagle ? I have owned one for quite some time now as my primary ccw. I tend to like it but it does have its pro's and con's. what do you think about them?
Where can I find custom wood pistol grips for a .45 ACP Magnum Research Baby Eagle pistol? No. The answer is not HOGUE. They only fit the 9mm or .40S&W Baby Eagle. Is there anyone who custom makes grips for uncommon guns?
Is a 10 inch barrel better then the 6 inch barrel for the magnum research .50 desert eagle? Which size should I get? Really I don't see why the fact of being 13 bothers you guys I just a younger person who loves to shoot whats wrong with that?
Is the Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle CO2 Pistol any good? So im getting a gun for my birthday and what would you say about this gun? Should I get it?
Why does the Magnum Research Desert Eagle pistol have bad reviews on Yahoo! Answers? Seems like some here have bad opinions about the Desert Eagle pistol. I've never owned or fired one. Have only seen them in film. So, I can't imagine what's bad about them. Can you give some details, please?
How much does a Magnum Research Desert Eagle costs? Im just wondering how much a Desert Eagle costs
Does anyone believe Magnum Research or Hi-Point would still be in business? if their firearms were as worthless as most commenters claim?
Where can I find Magnum Research SP-21 Pistol at? I know that this gun is discontinued but I know that you can buy used guns. Just wondering what the best chance to get one would be
magnum research desert eagle co2 pistol? i want a magnum research desert eagle co2 pistol (not baby desert eagle) from pyramid air. i want to know if you could take off the rails on the bottom of the barrel because it looks ugly sumtimes but im going to use it still when i attach laser mounts but i want to know if you could take it off? thanks
Can a scope be mounted on to a Magnum Research "Baby Desert Eagle" .40S&W? I'm very curious if this is possible to do. What scope mounts would be needed if it can be done? i didn't say it was certain that i would do it. i was just curious if it was possible to do it. i have shot rabbits with this gun before, though i rather use my ruger 10/22 for that kind of hunt. I'm putting this question to vote kinda early. As I'll be out most of today and gone to Vegas over the weekend. Thanks to all who have answered this question.
Magnum Research Lone Eagle Pistol? Does Anyone own a Magnum Research Lone Eagle pistol? What Caliber? What do you think of it?
as i research this 357 magnum i came across an interesting fact? .38 specials and all 357 rounds are really not .38 caliber, but .35-.36 caliber as measured in inches. If i understand correctly, .380 semi autos actually do measure .38 inches. Why are they considered so inferior to the 38 special?
whats everyones thoughts of the magnum research lone eagle? thinking of buying one would like the pros and cons thanks
Looking to buy Magnum Research BFR !? I'm looking to buy a Magnum Research BFR in 45-70. Any pros or cons on this revolver before I buy it? It will be used for hunting and target shooting, plinking. Ammo cost is no issue as I reload my own ammunition.
Is Magnum Research (makers of Desert Eagle) the biggest turd in the pool? Okay, those of us that know guns realize the Desert Eagle is an overpriced, over-hyped, exceptionally fragile (for a gun) hunk of junk loved by movie executives and video game fanboys. Still, I've always had the attitude of 'I can't blame MRI (Magnum Research International = MRI), they make what sells, if the dummy customer buys it, that's on them' Now I have learned that MRI is a morally bankrupt company, and I want to know if there are worse gun companies, or if MRI is now wearing the crown of 'Biggest Turd in the Pool' What did MRI do? Well, the small import company Charles Daly decided to go to the customer and find out what exactly the customer wanted in terms of a 1911. To this end Charles Daly president and some high end executives went on the internet and joined gun forums and started asking what people wanted. They did the same with AR-15s In the end, Charles Daly ended up with a very very nice AR-15 for the price, giving the customer exactly what he wanted with no extra junk that was not wanted. But 1911s are a lot less modular, and so it took a dedicated manufacturer of the base pistol to get that project off the ground. Still, using the internet gun message boards, Charles Daly figured out a really really great 1911 design (some features of which were rear slide serrations only, a bushing barrel setup and Novak style sights) Charles Daly contacted BUL of Israel to make the gun. but BUL took Charles Daly's specs and went to MRI, who also wanted to produce a 1911. BUL then pointed out all the message board talk where people had long discussion on what exactly was really wanted (the CD design threads) and offered to make them the EXACT SAME GUN, using those message boards to convince MRI that it would sell great...even though Charles Daly was the one who did all the work of customer contact and design. Basically BUL and MRI poached CD's design. Not only is this a morally bankrupt move, now no gun maker is EVER going to try and get directly in contact with the customer on the internet through forums or answer boards, because any info garnered in that manner is free for the competitor to see as well. So, is MRI a big turd or what? Should we show our displeasure with MRI by not buying their 1911? http://www.magnumresearch.com/ definitely the makers of Desert Eagle, but not the inventors.
how good is the magnum research baby desert eagle? hi i saw a magnum research baby desert eagle co2 powered bb gun shoots about 420 fps, .177 bb's, and is $39 i've been wondering if it would be strong enough to be used as for hunting varmint, small rodents/animals like rats, squirrels, and other animals that have been messing with our garden. im really interested in it for plinking/marksmanship/target shooting. any suggestions on other bb guns? and where i could get them around downers grove? thanks
Trying to find a Magnum Research Baby eagle .45 in stainless (silver)? However you want to word it, i am looking for a Baby eagle (not the jericho, i want the old made in israel baby eagle) and i want it in the stainless steel color (I dont care if it is the polished chrome, brushed, whatever). I have been looking for a while and havent had any luck, since they arent made anymore. I found a page the other day with all the model numbers of all baby eagles and now i cant even find that. I would REALLY like the model with the Rail on it, but i dont even know if that was made in a stainless .45. I would like help finding the gun itself ( i may look at other calibers if needed) , or even just that page with all the different models. This is what i need to round out my Magnum research collection... Help! Found a page with some of the model numbers here. http://www.ozarkguns.com/Baby%20Desert%20Eagle/babyeagle.htm If the weight of this gun makes your little arms hurt I understand. I prefer heavier guns as it keeps me accurate with the reduced recoil, and they feel better in my hand. I Own 4 baby eagles now, and a .50 desert eagle. None of them have ever given me reliability problems with thousands of rounds thrown down range. Which is what i expect from a gun out of a country that has been at war for ever. Enjoy the little glocks, maybe a ruger lcp...
has anyone had any problems with the magnum research bfr? i own a magnum research bfr .500 s&w mag. i bought it brand new from the sportsman's warehouse had it for a week then took it to the range. got through 12 shots of hornady custom 300 gr sst and the screw holding the plunger tube on sheired??? off and the plunger came flying back at me. anyone else had this problem? i bear hunt in nc and was looking for something of a challenge to go along with my bow hunting. and if i see t-rex i got something for him

Magnum Research .50cal? Ive been looking recently to getting a crown jewel for my growing collection. I was looking at either a 50 cal desert eagle or a LAR-458 socom. Roughly the same price including a scope for the rifle. All of the 50 cal pistols offer interchangeability to .357 and .44. Can I buy a .357 or 44 baby eagle and mod it to shoot 50 cal rounds? Cause the price is pretty huge! Was just wondering. Thanks.
Magnum Research BFR .450 Marlin/.45-70 Gov't? Is my intention to buy this handgun, probably a Precision Center model. In your opinion, which is maximum energy level I can reach (reloading, it was without saying) with both those calibers, firing out a 10 5/8 barrel? Thank you I mean muzzle energy (ME), however I've owned a S&W in .460 - my first and certainly last S&W revolver - and I've sold it, 'cause after 500 rounds the barrel was already melted, and fitting it should cost at least 500 €: in my opinion S&W handguns sucks! Thank you again partners
Information on the Magnum Research Magnum Lite 22. wmr rifle? I've been looking at this gun for a while, and there is no information about it what so ever on the internet (reviews, videos). If anyone owns it, or knows anything at all, can you please fill me in. ALSO, i already know about what the gun has, and how much it is, my question is if anyone has any expierence with the gun. If it's a good shooter, or if it jams. This question was for someone who owns the gun or has shot it. Not to someone who did the same thing as me, and googled it.
For all of you who have a Magnum research desert eagle c02 air pistol....easy 10 points!? Well, first of all, on pyramid air, a LOT of people says its really loud -'It is very loud and requires ear protection'...'It makes a nice and loud smack!'...'Extremely loud, which may or may not be a good thing'. Those are some of the comments.I have never seen an air pistol with so many comments about it being loud...and yet it is rated a 3, which might be an error. My question is, anout how loud is it compared to a .22 rifle, because if it got any louder, the neighbors might call...lol
How does a 7mm Remington Magnum (not ultra mag) compare to a 7mm-08 ? I am considering the purchase of a Remington Model 700 in either 7mm Remington Magnum or 7mm-08. I did some research, but there are no real clear answers to the difference between these two cartridges. Does either one kill better for large game like Whitetail Deer ? What are the diffs between the two ?

Is a 12-gauge super magnum shell necessary for home defense, or are the 2.75 & 3 inch shells sufficient? I'm starting to do my research into possibly purchasing a shotgun and I'm looking into the Remington 870 7-round synthetic. But should I get a model that can also fire 3.5 inch super magnums, or is that overkill?
Are there any semi-auto handguns that shoot .357 magnum rounds besides the Desert Eagle? Not .357 Sig., but good ol' .357 mag. The Desert Eagle model XIX is the only one I've ever seen online or in a catalogue. Does anyone else make any semi-autos like that? What about REALLy big bore semi-autos, that shoot .44 mag, say, besides that other Desert Eagle model? Is there something about the big loads that make them unsuitable for a semi-auto handgun? I know Ruger makes BIG bore revolvers like the Redhawk Alaskan (shoots a 454 Casull - a bear REVOLVER!). But does anyone else make any real semi-auto hand cannons besides Magnum Research's Desert Eagles? If not, is it just because there isn't that big a market for them, or is there a technical problem that only Magnum Research has figured out how to beat? (Or HAVE they beaten it? Can anyone tell me anything about Desert Eagles' quality and function?)
Where can I buy a used Desert Eagle? I've looked on Magnum Research, but those are around $1,500 dollars for a new one. Where can I go (online) to buy a used one?

"BOO YA"
Would a gunshot wound to the head from a .357 magnum or other large caliber kill a person instantly? I am just doing research for a paper and I cannot find any answers to this question.
How much is my gun worth? I'm looking to sell my polished chrome Desert Eagle .50AE made by Magnum Research. The firearm has had no more than 15 rounds go through it. I'm trying to get some idea on how much I could sell it for, possibly back to the dealer.
I know i had to rant earlier on the DE BUT? Does anyone know anything about the baby eagle, are they just as ill-performing as the big stupid DE? Don't want to buy one just want thoughts on other magnum research products. And if anyone knows anything about their carbon barrels for rifles I would like to know about that to.
Where to recycle old Magnum Print Solutions Toner Cartriges? I have done some research and cannot seem to find anywhere that doesn't take anything but their own company back. I am specifically looking for pre-paid postage recycling centers. Any Idea's?
Why do some guns have polygonal rifleing? ie. Glock, Magnum Research. What advantages does it have? Why can't we shoot lead bullets in them.
What is the common use for a Flat & the Magnum needle for Tattoos? -_-° Call me $t**!d or naive, but this is why yahoo answers exist, so I can get this questions answered. I just need to know, I'm doing a bit of a research on tattoo needles since I'm curious of why so many types of needles?

what is the top speed of a 1997 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9L magnum V6? what is the top speed of a 1997 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9L magnum V6? I've tried to research this and have only came up with the bhp. Im interested in a desert eagle. What is the difference in a .44, .357, and 50AE? Im interested in getting a desert eagle. what is the difference between a .44, .357 and a .50AE desert eagle? Which one would be better to have? Also is Magnum Research Inc the only people who make desert eagles? And finally are desert eagles reguardled as one of the most wanted handguns?
Wouldn't the Magnum Research BFR in 450 marlin be the most powerful hand gun in the world not the S&W 500? Because a buffalo bore 450 marlin has 3,507 ft. lbs and the 500 S&W hits with around 3,000 ft. lbs.
Anyone know where I can find a used/new "Baby Eagle??"? I'm looking for the Magnum Research "Baby Eagle" in 9mm. All of the ones I'm looking at seem to be over priced or in horrible condition (and still over priced!!). Does anyone/friends have one they are looking to sell? Or do you know of a FFL dealer that is selling one that is not going to cost an arm or leg? Thanks!
Is there a SILENCER for the DESERT EAGLE? Robocop was a pretty good movie. In the movie, Clarence Bodiker uses a Desert Eagle and at the point he kills the OCP exec, he puts a silencer on his desert eagle to shoot him quietly... (even though moment later he uses a grenade to blow up the entire house). Is there really a silencer for the Desert Eagle? The one Clarence had looked as if it was made specifically for the Desert Eagle - as if Magnum Research inc had designed it to be an add on.
Are there any condoms bigger than a Trojan Magnum Xl? As the above question states, I'm looking for condoms longer and wider than magnum XL's. I did the research a few years back when I was growing and not as large as I am now. Durex, by reference...is crap. They break, too thin, and too tight. I was wondering if there are longer, wider condoms out there and where I can find them. Magnum XL's are about an inch too short and constrict heavily during sex
Seeking Desert Eagle Barrels, where do I find them? I have a Baby Eagle 9mm and am looking to replace the barrel. On the Magnum Research website they only list the Desert Eagle barrels. Where can I find the Baby Eagle barrels for sale if not at the official magnum research website? Please help!

What's the best bypass for a remote start alarm for a 05 Dodge Magnum RT? DEI XK532, CHDL7-PK or ADS-DLSL CH3? Need a bypass for my Ungo (Clarion) remote start alarm, and believe those are my three options. I was told that ADS-DLSL CH3 was what I needed on another forum, but can't find that product locally. After researching i found the DEI XK532 & CHDL7-PK to be options as well. Any suggestions on which product is best for my alarm and 05 RT?
Handguns: Anyone know anything about a Baby Eagle? .40S&W? I held this gun and fell in love with it but I've never heard of the maker - an Israeli gunmaker. Magnum Research. I'm between this gun and a Springfield XDm. Reviews and opinions welcome.
Where to purchase a Jericho 941 Pistol? I was interested in buying a Full Size, Full Metal, .40 Caliber Jericho 941 Pistol made by KBI. This is also known as the Baby Eagle from Magnum Research. On KBI's website, it says they have closed their doors for business, and I cannot seem to find any other sellers of the Jericho 941. I was wondering if anyone knew where I can purchase this handgun, if it's still out there... Thanks in advance!

Are Desert Eagle's manufactured in anywhere else other than Israel? I heard that they moved the manufacturing plant to Saco defense co. in Maine but still make them in Israel but is it possinle to get your hands on a good ol' fashoined American D.eagle anymore or is the legenedary Magnum Research weapon only made in Israel because I'm dying to get my hands on an American made XIX model D.eagle like what they had in the "BoonDock Saints 2". =D
what are some good .41 magnum rifle options? ive been doing some research into some of the "cowboy" rounds. i think i figured i want a .41 mag, as it is said to be a good compromise between the .357 mag and .44 mag. does anybody have any good suggestions as to a good rifle for this round? or maybe more advice/inside info on why to go with a different round.

What do you recommend for a hunting rifle? hi im 14 years old i live on a cattle ranch in canada. i have began hunting. i have 2 .22's and a 12 gauge shotgun. what would you recomend as a high powered hunting rifle? i have narrowed it down to two guns that i can have thru many hour of research. what gun should it be the remington 7mm magnum or a 30-06 of some sort? well yes i miseed a few key points. i already have a trusty 30-30. and my needs for a riffle are mainly for shiping pests from 300yds+. and for defence from local pests (in september a very close friend of mine was killed by a bear a mile from my house. and i have found cougar and bear tracks within 1000 feet of my house.
i have been repeatedly told that .44 magnum, is VERY close to a .500 S&W, by most of the topcontributors here? and i did research, and the energy transfer of the .500 is literally twice that of the .44 magnum. how the hell is that "close?"
What kind of .22lr should i get? I'm looking for a good semi-auto .22lr. I want something that is very reliable and accurate. I also plan on attaching a suppressor. The only one's that have caught my eye are the Ruger 10/22 and the Magnum Research- Magnum Lite .22lr. Any suggestions?
Do you know of any premium food brands that use black brand colours to evoke indulgence, decadence & quality? I am doing some market research, and would like to know of any premium food or drinks brands that use black or dark colours to signify indulgence, high quality, and luxury. I am thinking along the lines of Magnum etc Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
"It took nearly a hundred years for the 1911 to earn the name Desert Eagle?!?!?!?!"? Does this anger anyone else, or is it just me? http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009/12/22/magnum-research-desert-eagle-1911/ It's not the GUN I am angry about, it's the highminded conceited claim they are making . . . The 1911 did NOTHING to deserve the Desert Eagle shame. The 1911 is 100,000 times the gun the Desert Eagle will EVER be.
Schematic For 44 magnum ammunition.? I'm currenty a mechanical engineering student and im doing an indepenednt research project into designing a better bullet, BUT I need to find some orthographic views and engineering based schematics of not only the 44 magnum cartridge but the bullet also. I'm looking for something like this : http://www.sightm1911.com/1911pix/cutaway/45acp1.jpg except in 44 magnum, anything and everything is much appreciated
Can you fire 44 magnum ammo in a 444 marlin safely? i recently traded my 44 mag rifle for a 444marlin. i have some 44 mag shells and was wondering if they can safely be used in the .444 marlin. i have done a little research and the case diameter at the rim for a 44 mag is.457 while the case size of the 444 is.4698. the rim itself is the same size, but the bullet diameter for the 44 magnum is .432 and the 444 is.4305. are these dimensions close enough to use 44 magnum in my 444. i am the first person i know to have a 444 and thats why noone i know can answer my question. and id rather get some info from someone with experience with the 444 before i just drop one in and try it.
Air Guns - RWS 34 or 350 magnum - which one would suit my needs best? I am searching for a durable, long lasting, and accurate air gun for target shooting as well as small game hunting / pest control. When hunting, head shots are far more important than muzzle velocity (or so i've heard), which makes accuracy my number one concern. I will be shooting at ranges from 20-50 yards. After doing a bunch of research, i've narrowed it down to two models - RWS 34 and RWS 350 Magnum. (RWS because of its reputation for standing behind its guns) RWS 34 - most likely will get in .177 caliber, due to the flatter trajectory. Heard mixed reviews about accuracy (mostly good), but I am leaning more towards this model. How is the accuracy out to 50 yards? Would RWS Superdomes suffice in achieving 50 yard accurate groups? RWS 350 magnum - far more powerful, and i've only heard good things about the accuracy. Debating whether to get in .22 or .177 caliber, but leaning more towards .177 once again, for the trajectory once again. Bad points however, include the fact that this model is also quite a bit more expensive. Is it worth the extra $100+ ? So, advice please please PLEASE! Any suggestions as to which gun, and which caliber for that gun? And your recommendation for pellets? Tips, comments, and advice would be very much appreciated, thank you. Sincerely, Jonny also - how are the sound levels different? will I disturb my neighbors by shooting either one? Thanks to C _F_45 however, does anybody know the trajectory stats for the 350 magnum in 22 cal? for example, in the Diana RWS 34 model's trajectory (.177) the shots are half an inch low at 7 yards, dead on at 14, half an inch high at 28, and half an inch low at 48 i believe. (sighted in for 42 yards with 8.3grain RWS Superdome pellets) these stats make shooting a hole bunch easier. does anyone know these stats for the .22 RWS 350 magnum?
21 year old getting a pistol 4 self defense: need some feed back on: 9mm, 40 s&w, and 357 magnum? im 21 and i've been shooting at the gun range for bout a month now and it's a hobby that is very addictive and fun and i'm a big guy so i can pretty much handle the recoil from any caliber of pistol, but now i want a pistol for personal and home self defense and i've done my research and at the moment the calibers that i've narrowed it down to are in this particular order with the 1st caliber being my favorite at this present time: 9mm(high capacity magazines [15-18 rounds],light recoil and easy to perform accurate follow up shots). 40 s&w(decent capacity [10-13 rounds], more stopping power than a 9mm, and recoil is still not excessive to the point where you can't perform accurate follow-up shots). 357 magnum(exceptional stopping power, probally the best among handguns, can stop an attack fast and usually only with one shot,it's a revolver so it's reliable and won't jam, but it has excessive recoil, which makes it hard to perform accurate follow-up shots unless you are a somewhat skilled shooter, and lastly it only can hold on average 6 to 8 shots). now that you guys know what my preferences are narrowed down to give me some feedback on my reasearch and what you think might be the best choice caliber for a young, up and coming shooter .
can you help me with my introduction paragraph for my research paper?? please. I'll love oyu forever!? What kind of mother would cut her child's head off with a hacksaw? This is a question award winning Toni Morrison explores in “Beloved. “Beloved” is hailed as Morrison’s magnum opus as she explores issues of African American female identity from which she encounter in her early life; as a result Morrison has affected the lives of many people and has won many well earned awards. Morrison became the literary giant of the 1980s and 1990s, and all the more famous for being both a woman and an African-American. i just cant get that paragraph to flow. plus, it makes it seem like im talking about the book more than the author, but im talking mostly about the author in my research paper. but i love the first sentence, but i don't know how too make it sound like i want it!
Which c02 gun to get? 10 points will be given!? The Magnum research desert eagle c02 pistol for 130 bucks, or the nightstalker tk by crosman for about the same? Both have good reviews...And if you no, which is louder? And if the desert eagle is louder, is it louder then a daisy powerline 15XT?
Choice of 44 Mag Pistol Recently ask about carrying for protection from bears while backpacking. I got a lot of great answers and decided the 44 Mag is the way to go. Now which one should I choose? S&W 629, 329 or the 29 Ruger Super Blackhawk\Redhawk Magnum Research Don't know much about the Magnum Research pistols. You Alaska guys, what are you carrying? Thanks for all the answers!

What's wrong with my pistol? Ok, so I recently bought a new Magnum Research Baby Eagle compact in 9mm about, say, 3 months ago. This very first time I shot it was about 3 weeks after that. I was using BLAZER Ammuniton and it shot great, no jams, no anything bad; I shot 100 rounds thru it. So the next time I take it out is about 1 month after that. I shot 78 rounds of Winchester White Box ammo. It had one jam, and two or three failures of the slide to go all the way forward. That happened within the first 40 rounds. After that it once again shot flawlessly. So then today I take it out with some more Winchester White Box ammo and shoot 130 rounds through it. Within the first 50 rounds, it had one hard jam and about 2 flaiures of the slide to go all the way forward. After that it ONCE AGAIN shot flawlessly. I am skeptical about using BLAZER 9mm ammunition because I heard it wasn't too good for your pistol. Something about being bad for the extractor or something? Is this the fault of my Baby Eagle or is it the Winchester White Box ammunititon. I heard that Sellier & Bellot makes the metric ammunition for Winchester: including the 9mm. I've read on Magnum research's Page to not use Sellier & Bellot ammo because its "dirty." Could this be my problem? Would switching over to Remington ammunition help? After cleaning it tonight, I noticed that I never ran a patch thru the chamber other than the boresnake. It turns out that it was pretty dirty. I'm hoping this my be the problem so I gave it a good cleaning. I also oiled the guiding rails a little bit more than usual.
What pellet gun is better? What pellet gun is better the px4 storm recon or the desert eagle by magnum research desert eagle higher fps, but the px4 storm recon has a 16 shot magazine and desert eagle has an 8 shot mag
Desert Eagle pistol? I have the "Baby Eagle" full size 9mm. I want to put some add on's. I've been to Magnum Research website and their stuff is ok... but I'm looking for more. Threaded barrel, ported barrel. Red dot sight, laser sights, extended clips, custom grips, etc. Anyone know of a place that works with the baby eagle? It seems everything is catered to the big nasty Desert Eagle, and hardly anything for the smaller but still important Baby Eagle. Let me know of anything you know of! Thanks yall! Baby Eagle is NOT gas operated. And whats so wrong with threaded barrels?? Anyway, I was warned not to get CZ mods or Tangfolio mods due to the manufacture warnings

HELP!!! I can't reload my bb gun!? i got a new magnum research baby desert eagle gun and i dont know how to reload the cartridge. i already wasted three! please help i dont know what to do
Handgun question? Amongst others, i own a desert eagle baby eagle .45acp. My barrel cracked, and i am now in search of a new one. Other than buying direct from magnum research (they want $200 for one), are there any other vendors that either sell factory replacements for less, or their own brand/version?
Whats wrong with this? What is the value of these firearms? Two years ago my wife's father died and he left her more than 100 guns, all different types. We are in bad need of some cash, and as bad as we hate to we are going to have to sell a few of these to get some money to pay bills, etc. The first gun I'm selling is a Magnum Research Desert Eagle- Gold Plated .50 cal. new in box never fired. Next is a Colt Python, been fired but in very good condition. Model 29 S&W .44 magnum with a 10 inch barrel, again very good condition, in wood presentation case. Ruger Mark III 22 cal target pistol, new in box, never fired. Remington Model 700 7mm ultra magnum, This gin has been shot twice, was NIB when we got it but I shot it for some reason. Remington 870 12 gauge pump action, it is a wingmaster (whatever that is) This gun has two small scratches on the stock, that are barely visible. I live in Southwest Virginia, Tazewell to be exact.
What revolver should I buy? I want to buy a .460 S&W revolver because or its ability to fire so many other cartridges. I either want to buy a Smith and Wesson xvr or a Magnum Research bfr. The xvr has a 8 3/8 inch barrel whereas the bfr has a 10 inch barrel. I am going to have to save for quite some time to buy either of these revolvers, but other than the obvious price difference what else is different between these two hand cannons. I own a .308 pistol. How would the recoil of a fullpower .460 compare to the .308 win? I do know that the Smith and Wesson pistol is a double action and the bfr is a single action, but what difference does that make. I am going to try and bag a brown/black bear with this pistol. I will buy a reloading system as well as the revolver so I can customize my cartridges as well. Thank you
Anyone get any new guns for xmas? I got a new Ruger M77 Compact chambered for 7mm-08. ALso what's your gun collection? Mine: -Rossi .22lr/.410 -Savage bolt action .22lr -Ruger 10/22 -Walther G22 -Magnum Research Baby Eagle (compact,9mm) -Marlin 30as (30/30) -Remington 870 (12ga) -Ruger M77 Compact (blued,7mm-08) By the way I'm only 15, so what's your collection? And I've bought all of my guns, excluding the new Ruger M77 You should let him. It's good to get kids started at that low of an age. Therefore, they can learn all the safety of gun handling and be a good shot when they grow older.
What are the best .177 pellets to buy for a CO2 pistol with an 8-shot rotary disc? 360 Magnum,What are the main symptoms of a bad MAF? My suspect is a '96 Dodge 1500 360 auto 4WD. So far today research has led me to believe I have a bad maf or intake/ plenum gasket- not sure which. The inside of the tailpipes are black with 200K driving- stutters really bad at high load low rpm(like 90K/hr in OD)- just did plugs to coil, now idles from 800-2200 eradically- has very little power for acc. though pulls 2500lb trailer as easy as nothing, and surges/lags in acceleration- check engine light is usually on, except under heavy acc. it is blinking- had it scanned read it is missing on 7 of 8, but this was before replacing elec. coil- plugs. Oh, and one night after putting on larger tires she was popping really bad under the hood, in a lot of humidity. With the recent tune up it is not happening much but still there under really hard acceleration. yeah, I'm getting about 9 mpg, but I don't believe that's too outta line- I think at peak performance on these 360's you get about 12.
.44-40 vs. .44 Magnum? I recently received about a box of .44-40 ammunition from a friend. He doesn't remember where he got it, and can't use it.... I grabbed a .44 Mag and compared them. They look identical. Are they the same thing? My research says they are not even related.... but they seem too similar not to be. What is the deal with these two? Are they interchangeable? So...... since .44-40 is lower pressure, wouldn't it be safe to use in a weapon designed to handle much higher pressures? As for the "bottle neck" (I noticed that initially, and honestly thought it was a funky crimp) wouldn't it just flare out to fit the chamber, like any brass does, with a possibility of a split case? I understand .44 mag in a .44-40 would blow you up. But wouldn't .44-40 in a .44 mag be safe? A slight variation is bullet diameter shouldn't do much, since it is smaller... bullet diameter varies just as much, if not more, with various manufacturers of the higher powered 7.62x39mm.

What's the value of a Dan Wesson Stainless .357 magnum kit, complete with 8, 6, 4 & 2 1/2 inch barrels w/tools? I am researching the value of a Dan Wesson Stainless .357 kit. The kit comes with 4 barrels and 4 extra sights, a collectible patch, a collectible belt buckle, an additional wooden hand grip, a Uncle Mike's Sidekick black nylon holster, Hoppe's solvent, and all of the tools required for disassembly and for cleaning. It also includes the factory feeler gauge for barrel changing. The gun kit was bought new in 1989 and is in like new condition, with only 12 or so rounds fired. Thanks for your help!

Do Creationists lie about a missing link in evolution? Ever hear of Australopithecines? Creationist Arguments: Australopithecines In 1950, Wilfred Le Gros Clark published a paper which definitively settled the question of whether the australopithecines were apes or not. He performed a morphological study (based on the shape and function) of teeth and jaws, since these formed most of the fossil evidence. By studying human and modern ape fossils, Le Gros Clark came up with a list of eleven consistent differences between humans and apes. Looking at A. africanus and robustus (the only australopithecine species then known), he found that they were humanlike rather than apelike in every characteristic. Judged by the same criteria, A. afarensis falls somewhere between humans and apes, and possibly closer to the apes (Johanson and Edey 1981). White et al. (1994) did not judge A. ramidus by these criteria, but it is clear that ramidus is even more chimpanzee-like than afarensis. The ramidus arm bones also display a mixture of hominid and ape characteristics. Solly Zuckerman attempted to prove with biometrical studies (based on measurements) that the australopithecines were apes. Zuckerman lost this debate in the 1950's, and his position was abandoned by everyone else (Johanson and Edey 1981). Creationists like to quote his opinions as if they were still a scientifically acceptable viewpoint. Charles Oxnard (1975), in a paper that is widely cited by creationists, claimed, based on his multivariate analyses, that australopithecines are no more closely related, or more similar, to humans than modern apes are. Howell et al.(1978) criticized this conclusion on a number of grounds. Oxnard's results were based on measurements of a few skeletal bones which were usually fragmentary and often poorly preserved. The measurements did not describe the complex shape of some bones, and did not distinguish between aspects which are important for understanding locomotion from those which were not. Finally, there is "an overwhelming body of evidence", based on the work of nearly 30 scientists, which contradicts Oxnard's work. These studies used a variety of techniques, including those used by Oxnard, and were based on many different body parts and joint complexes. They overwhelmingly indicate that australopithecines resemble humans more closely than the living apes. Creationists often cite Oxnard's qualifications, and use of computers to perform his calculations, with approval. This is special pleading; many other scientists are equally qualified, and also use computers. Gish (1993) states that "[a] computer doesn't lie, [a] computer doesn't have a bias". True enough, but the results that come out of a computer are only as good as the data and assumptions that go in. In this case, the primary assumption would seem to be that Oxnard's methods are the best method of determining relationships. This seems doubtful, given some of the other unusual results of Oxnard's study (1987). For example, he places Ramapithecus as the ape closest to humans, and Sivapithecus as closely related to orang-utans, even though the two are so similar that they are now considered to be the same species of Sivapithecus. Less controversially, Oxnard also claims that, while probably bipedal, australopithecines did not walk identically to modern humans. Creationists sometimes quote this conclusion in a highly misleading manner, saying Oxnard proved that australopithecines did not walk upright, and then adding, as an afterthought (or in Willis' (1987) case, not at all) "at least, not in the human manner". Creationists are generally reluctant to accept that australopithecines, including Lucy, were bipedal. A statement by Weaver (1985) that "Australopithecus afarensis ... demonstrates virtually complete adaptation to upright walking" is dismissed by Willis (1987) as "a preposterous claim". Willis adds: "Many competent anthropologists have carefully examined these and other "Australopithicine" [sic] remains and concluded that Lucy could not walk upright." Willis' evidence for this consists of a statement by Solly Zuckerman made in 1970; a 1971 statement from Richard Leakey that australopithecines "may have been knuckle-walkers", and a quote from Charles Oxnard about the relationship between humans, australopithecines and the apes. In fact, none of these quotes refer to Lucy. Two of them were made before Lucy, and A. afarensis, was even discovered (and the third was made very soon afterwards, before Lucy had been studied). Even in 1970, Zuckerman's views had long since been largely abandoned. In what is obviously a fabrication, Willis says that Leakey "referred to Lucy as an ape who did not walk upright", three years before Lucy was discovered. Leakey was merely making a suggestion (about robust australopithecines) which he soon retracted, not stating a firm opinion, and he has since stated (1994) that Lucy "undoubtedly was a biped". Oxnard (1975; 1987) has some unorthodox opinions about the australopithecines, but the Oxnard quote supplied by Willis discusses neither bipedality nor A. afarensis. Elsewhere in the same paper that Willis refers to, Oxnard (1975) repeatedly mentions that australopithecines may have been bipedal, and he has since stated (1987) that the australopithecines, including Lucy, were bipedal. Gish (1985) has a long discussion of the debate about Lucy's locomotion. He quotes extensively from Stern and Susman (1983), who list many apelike features of A. afarensis and argue that it spent a significant amount of time in the trees. As Gish admits, none of the scientists he mentions deny that Lucy was bipedal, but he goes on to suggest, with no evidence or support, that A. afarensis may have been no more bipedal than living apes, which are well adapted to quadrupedality and only walk on two legs for short distances. By contrast, the feet, knees, legs and pelvises of australopithecines are strongly adapted to bipedality. Gish's conclusion is strongly rejected by Stern and Susman, and, apparently, everyone else: "That bipedality was a more fundamental part of australopithecine behavior than in any other living or extinct nonhuman primate is not in serious dispute." "... we must emphasize that in no way do we dispute the claim that terrestrial bipedality was a far more significant component of the behavior of A. afarensis than in any living nonhuman primate." (Stern, Jr. and Susman 1983) "The most significant features for bipedalism include shortened iliac blades, lumbar curve, knees approaching midline, distal articular surface of tiba nearly perpendicular to the shaft, robust metatarsal I with expanded head, convergent hallux (big toe), and proximal foot phalanges with dorsally oriented proximal articular surfaces. (McHenry 1994) Gish writes as if showing that A. afarensis did not "walk upright in the human manner" is all that is needed to disqualify it as a human ancestor. But there is no reason that bipedality, when it first arose, had to be identical to human bipedality; that final step could have occurred later. As Stern and Susman (1983) state: "In our opinion A. afarensis is very close to what can be called a "missing link". It possesses a combination of traits entirely appropriate for an animal that had traveled well down the road toward full-time bipedality ..." Creationist John Morris writes: "From the neck down, certain clues suggested to Johanson that Lucy walked a little more erect than today's chimps. This conclusion, based on his interpretation of the partial hip bone and a knee bone, has been hotly contested by many paleoanthropologists." (Morris 1994) Almost everything in this quote is a distortion (Johanson's and Lucy's names are about the only exceptions). "Certain clues suggested" doesn't mention that the whole find screamed "bipedality" to every qualified scientist who looked at it. "a little more erect", when everyone believes that Lucy was fully erect. "the partial hip bone and a knee bone", when Lucy included almost a complete pelvis and leg (taking mirror imaging into account, and excluding the foot). "has been hotly contested", when no reputable paleoanthropologist denies that Lucy was bipedal. The debates are about whether she was also arboreal, and about how similar the biomechanics of her locomotion was to that of humans. Given that we have most of Lucy's leg and pelvis, one has to wonder what sort of fossil evidence it would take to convince creationists of australopithecine bipedality. To support the idea that australopithecines are just apes, Parker says: "In their critique of the Leakeys, Johanson and White (1980) noted: 'Modern chimpanzees, by this definition [Richard Leakey's] would be classified as A. africanus.' Apes after all?" (Morris and Parker 1982) When the paper by Johanson and White is examined, it is apparent that Parker has taken their quote out of context in a way that almost reverses its meaning. Leakey did not call A. africanus a chimp, nor did Johanson and White accuse him of doing so. They criticized Leakey's definition because it was imprecise enough to also include chimps. Of course, such a criticism only makes sense if A. africanus is not a chimp. In 1987, creationist Tom Willis accused Donald Johanson of fraud, claiming that the skeleton known as "Lucy" consisted of bones that had been found at two sites about 2.5 km (1.5 miles) apart. Willis had actually confused two separate finds which belong to the same species. (This was in spite of the fact that a best-selling book (Johanson and Edey 1981) has photos of both fossils: AL 129-1 is a right knee, while Lucy has a right femur and a left tibia.) This was a spectacular error which could hardly have been made by anyone who had done the most elementary research, but that didn't stop many other creationists from picking up the claim and repeating it. For a full history of this claim, read the talk.origins knee-joint FAQ file (Lippard 1997). Creationists rarely address the issue of why australopithecines have a foramen magnum at the bottom of the skull. Gish (1985) criticizes Dart's reasoning that the Taung baby walked upright, based on the position of its foramen magnum. Gish correctly states that the position of the foramen magnum is closer in juvenile apes and humans than it is in adults (in apes, it moves backwards during growth), and concludes that Dart was unjustified in analyzing this feature on a juvenile skull. This is the same criticism that Dart originally faced from scientists, but Gish fails to mention that later evidence proved Dart's analysis correct and silenced his critics. Creationists also rarely mention australopithecine teeth. Gish says that "[Dart] pointed out the many ape-like features of the skull, but believed that some features of the skull, and particularly of the teeth, were man-like". (Note the misleading implication that the apelike features really exist, while the humanlike ones are a figment of Dart's imagination.) Gish disputes this, pointing out that the molar teeth of africanus are extremely large. What Gish does not tell readers is that this is one of the few differences between them and human teeth. When the teeth of the Taung child could be properly examined, Dart's claim was strongly confirmed, and is now generally accepted: "In fact, though the molars were larger than is now normal, most of the teeth [of the Taung child] could have belonged to a child of today." (Campbell 1988)
which condoms are most comfortable for the wearer? So, a pack of durex extra safe condoms have been sitting in my drawer forever. I think I must have bought them from a bathroom dispenser or something, just in case, but I've never had a chance to use them because I'm very not good at talking to ladies. Anyway, a couple of days ago I was bored, I tried one on to see what it's like. Oh god, the pain. Did not manage to get it all the way on - it got stuck somewhere down the shaft, and I could see my penis was all squashed out of shape, being choked to death. Took a while to get off, like when your head is stuck in a fence and you wonder how it got through there in the first place. Now my penis doesn't look that big, to me anyway, but I get the feeling that this isn't how it should be. Or if it is, then I really don't like condoms. Who knows a good brand of condom that isn't so tight? And what's the best place to buy them online (optional question)? I took some measurements of my penis to help. Looks like it's 7 inches long, roughly 18cm, and near 6 inches around (girth), about 15cm. I found Magnum XL through my own research but I'd like to know about more than one option.
Family car for under $25k? I am trying to do research for our next car. We have decided on buying new and we have two children (both in car seats). We want a car or SUV that can also work well for long travels but is also stylish. We live in Colorado so we need something that can handle the snow. To give you an idea we liked, Mercury Mountaineer, Subaru Legacy, Dodge Magnum (my husband's fav). Problem is they are out of our price range or just suck gas or are bad in snow. Suggestions?

So this is the second part of my breeding question..? I am thinking of breeding my female labrador x golden retriever Honey, with a good friends pedigree, chocolate labrador, Magnum. I have never bred before, but i have been researching - over 20 books from the local library, many websites etc. I will do everything recommended such as take her to the vet - multiple visits if necessary - to make sure she is healthy, and i will make sure the male aquires the same. She is not yet 18 months, but i don'tplan on breeding her for a year or more, i am just getting in early to do my research. I would like to know things such as: Is is possible to aquire buyers for puppies before you have mated the two dogs to ensure trustworthy homes and that they are not left to a shelter? I won't know how many owners to look for either. If so, what are the best ways to do this? because i really want to. I want to know everything there is to know, and we will most likely breed her only once. I adore Honey - she is my best friend, so any comments about me not caring for her because i want her to breed really hurt.. i'm trying to be responsible by finding out all that i can to ensure that my girl is safe, and her puppies are looked after well into their future life. We live in Australia, in a rural city of around 60,000, with a home on the outskirts. i am prepared for the time it will take to help Honey with being a mum, and our friend, the owner of the male, has agreed to pay for food, and help too. I'm still very nervous, because to me she is my baby! but want to know the information necessary to be ready, if she is, in the future for a litter of her own. Please offer any advice :) thanks - no breeding i guess. :) i'll wait till i'm old enough for a pedigree and do more research then :)
Staghorn Algae be gone??? I have a whole lot of staghorn algae in my tank.. I have done some research on it and have done everything I have found to try and get rid of it, with the exception of getting an American Flag Fish<which I can only find online, and am scared of having a fish shipped to me>. I really dont want to medicate the tank with some algae be gone chemicals.. Any suggestions... It seems to be taking over the tank.... It is a 50 gal. with some glofish, zebra danios, green flame tetra, cardinal tetra, neon tetra, other tetras, platys, dwarf puffers, chocolate albine pleco, and a clown loach. With a Magnum 350 pro canister filter...The staghorn algae is now covering rocks, not just leaves on plants... I cant really back off on the light with out inhibiting the plant growth. I already use minimal light. Gosh I am just so tired of looking at this crap... its so ugly.. ANY IDEAS????? i use a plant fertilizer ... ill have to read on it to see what the content is... thanks

Need tips on loading my own bullets? I've been shooting my .357 magnum revolver and my Ruger 9mm (SR9) alot lately and it's starting to cost some serious cabbage! A friend suggested that I get a loading press and do it myself. He said that he does it and saves big time money. I wanna get into this but have some questions: 1) What's a good brand name press and where do you get them? 2) Can I get one that handles both 9mm and .357? How does that work? 3) Exactly how much can be saved? At Walmart I get a box of 100 9mm rounds for about 18 or 19 bucks. How much would it cost to make 100 9mm rounds with a press? 4) How long does it take? How long would it take (average) to make 100 9mm rounds? 5) Can I re-use the casings after shooting or is this not recommended? 6) How does a press work? I know it's a lot of questions but I've tried to research but am so unfamilliar with the terminology that I'm not finding what I need. An answer to any and/or all of my questions would be great! Thanks in advance! This is great! Yahoo Answers is the best! Only thing is it makes it impossible to find a best answer! Too many good ones! Thanks!
Convert Israeli Mauser into long range gun? I have an Israeli Mauser k98k 7.62mm/.308 caliber. From the research I've done, a .308 is a decent caliber rifle to start out on sharpshooting. I like that the .308 is a fairly cheap ammunition and the barrels last a little longer than magnum round guns. The next question is where is a good website or specific gear one could recommend to convert this basic infantry rifle into a sharpshooting gun? I know the Germans used these in WW2 for sniper rifles, so I know it's been done. What do I do to attach a scope and raise it high enough that the rear safety on the bolt doesn't obstruct the view?

why are people so stupid on here? I asked a simple question earlier, can you use a .410 shotshell in a gun chambered for the .45/70? I asked it because I thought I heard on a forum that you could interchange them like you can use a .410 shotshell in a .45LC? I had people just ramdomly "yelling" at me about that you can't interchange any ammo? you serious? farmers used to shoot a cow with a .410 by chambering a 45LC in the chamber and shooting the cow in the head with it, and don't quote me on that either. what about the 357 magnum and the 38 special, you can chamber a 38 special in a 357 magnum, that's interchangeable right? I'm just getting fed up with these people who think they know everything without doing to research necessary to give a good answer, if you know what your talking about, then answer, but don't randomly answer like your king sh*t and acting like your the one whos right and the scientists and gun experts are wrong! THANK YOU!!! and I wasn't calling everybody stupid, just the people who give really bad answers or just get after you for asking a question that makes sense? i seen something in a forum and wanted some of yahoo answer's opinions, thank you. I hope you all understand what I mean. and about research, I research every time I answer a question, even if I know the answer, because I might be wrong or I misunderstood what the person was asking, I never get on peoples cases just because they ask a question. the only people I get after for asking a question are people from greenpeace and organizations like that who ask really insulting question about hunters, that's it.
Long Shots on Deer-Realistic? I hunt in the West. Supposedly out here, you need a .30-06 or better (preferably a magnum) with at least a 3x-9x scope, and with a bolt action so you will have a precision rifle for all those 500 yard shots. But all the research I do says that most deer, maybe 95% are shot at 100 yards or under, regardless of the terrain, open, flat, wooded, whatever. Then I go to the range. At the gunshops, everyone I meet can shoot (according to them) one inch at 100 yards, off hand. But at the range, the vast overwhelming majority of people I see have a MAJOR problem keeping all their shots in the black, while they are shooting off a bench rest. God knows what would happen if they shot off hand. They never do, at the range. Is ours a hobby, where we just lie to ourselves like crazy? Everyone at the gun shop claims to shoot like a whiz. Everyone at the target range seems to be "having a bad day." My conclusion is that most shooters and hunters lie, lie, lie about how well they can shoot. I conclude, I will probably hit a deer at 100 or 150 yards, or not at all, and under those circumstances, a .30-30 with a small scope will do just fine. Am I wrong? John S g OK, so in World War Two, Our G.I. Joe hero whips out his Garand, and knocks Fritz (or Hiroshi) dead with one shot of his .30-06 Garand at 500 yards. Bing! One shot, one kill. The rest of the Axis Squad is being very helpful, and just standing there motionless and not shooting back. In fact, they are holding out handkerchiefs to help the G.I. figure out the wind. Uh-huh. Right. Whatever. My father was in infantryman in the U.S. Army in New Guinea. He claimed you couldn't tell where the Japanese were unless you were practically on top of them, and their 6.5mm Arisaka rifle made so little noise, it was almost impossible to figure out where the shots were coming from. When you did see one dead, the guy was a walking camoflauged tree.Infantry men go to ground when shot at. So to me, the idea of shooting men (who are shooting at you) with only their heads and rifles exposed at 500 yards seems more of a game for the Browning Medium Machine Gun than a Garand As regards good shots don't shoot at public ranges---I live in Los Angeles. If you want to your rifle you have your choice of two ranges, or you can drive over the San Gabriel Mountains to the Mojave Desert (three hours.) We have 9 million people here in the Greater Los Angeles Area. I shoot at the largest public range in the State. It's a complex with multiple ranges. And it's the damndest thing. I can never find these guys (who are so common HERE) who can fire into one inch at 100 yards. Whenever I am at the range, I look for the guys with scopes the size of sewer pipes and stocks made out of masses of plastic/kevlar/exotic fiberglass. And my spotting scope indicates they aren't shooting an inch at a 100 yards.
7mm Rem Mag or .270 Win? Ok, here goes. My birthday was yesterday, and i got about, oh, 3 bills. Ive been wanting a .223 for a LONG time now, possibly a .243. If i didnt find anything in that, I was going to go with a nice .17 hmr. well i go looking around and i find a Howa 1500 in .270 winchester. Its got an ugly camo stock, priced at $329 with an included pre-mounted scope. it been here for as long as can remember (a few months) and i dont think anyone else will buy it soon (as in tomorrow/or saturday night). There's also a Remington 710 in 7mm Remington Magnum with an ugly gray stock and a scope priced at $269 (i saw it the first time today). The Howa's bolt seemed tighter to me. I already have a 30-06 in Reminton 700 and love it, so i compared the cartridges. The 7mm was the same length but had broder (sp) shoulders. The .270 was a bit smaller. I did *some* research and found out the 7mm is faster, flatter, has more knockdown power, and more recoill than a 30-06, while the .270 is less. I also heard from a few indivuals online that the howa has a great tigger, great accuracy, while the Rem. does not. Which would be cheaper to shoot? Which would be the best for coyotes? Deer? are the looaded with the same bullets? From what i preceive, the .270 will offer me a 90 grain hollow point, will the 7mm get that low? Which would be more descructive (expand quicker, weight retention, tumbling)? I do not plan to hunt and Elk, bear, moose, w.e with this. Primarly deer (if we move or get land up in the nothern part of Minnesota, for im in the shotgun zone now) and Coyotes (all year, all guns, anywhere, no bag limit). Which would you reccomend? and why? and what bullet choices? SCRATCH THIS! ugh. it wasnt meant to be. the 270 has been there for MONTHS! so i go in a few minutes ago and it was sold this morning. im on the search again
is this the truth or just plain funny thanks to helen for this one? In the beginning God covered the earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, with green, yellow and red vegetables of all kinds so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives. Then using God's bountiful gifts, Satan created Dairy Ice Cream and Magnums. And Satan said, 'You want hot fudge with that? And Man said, 'Yes!' And Woman said, 'I'll have one too with chocolate chips'. And lo they gained 10 pounds. And God created healthy yoghurt that woman might keep the figure that man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat and sugar from the cane and combined them. And Woman went from size 12 to size 14. So God said, 'Try my fresh green salad'. And Satan presented Blue Cheese dressing and garlic croutons on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast. God then said 'I have sent you healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them'. And Satan brought forth deep fried coconut king prawns, butter-dipped lobster chunks and chicken fried steak, so big it needed its own platter, and Man's cholesterol went through the roof. Then God brought forth the potato; naturally low in fat and brimming with potassium and good nutrition. Then Satan peeled off the healthy skin and sliced the starchy centre into chips and deep-fried them in animal fats adding copious quantities of salt. And Man put on more pounds. God then brought forth running shoes so that his Children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan came forth with a cable TV with remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering light and started wearing stretch jogging suits. Then God gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonalds and the 99p double cheeseburger. Then Satan said 'You want fries with that?' and Man replied, 'Yes, and super size 'em'. And Satan said, 'It is good.' And Man and Woman went into cardiac arrest. God sighed .......... and created quadruple by-pass surgery. And then ............. Satan chuckled and created the National Health Service. SAE 5w-20 vs SAE 5w-30? im planning on changing my engine oil this weekend, so i went to go buy motor oil and a filter at the local auto parts store. anyways, i look in the handbook provided w/ the car that it recommends SAE 5w-30 for my 05 Dogde Magnum SE 2.7 V6 dohc w/ 36,000+miles, but also says to check what the oil cap states. the oil cap says SAE 5w-20. from what i briefly researched is that sae 5w-20 is more for like cold weather and sae 5w-30 for warmer climates. i live in southern california, currently the weather is mediocre for a winter..its average in the morning is 55 degrees and in the day is around 65-70 degrees. well my question is, can i use the sae 5w-30 part synthetic in my car because the books says it recommends it even though the oil cap says sae 5w-20? thanks.
