What was the name of the 90's tv show that had a professor named Devlon who researched unexplained phenomenon? He had a genius student girl sidekick that had black hair and dressed slightly goth. Prof's name was probably Decklan or Deckland - or something close. He was a college professor that would hear about, or read about strange stories, miracles or unexplained phenomena and try and prove or disprove them. The show was not "Beyond Reality". Sidekick college student girl was pretty, had a slightly "hawk" nose, black hair, - goth-ish look , wore mostly black attire- and ran on the genius side of things. If I remember correctly, there was also a young male student that helped with trying to film the events while they researched them. There was a beautiful bi-racial woman that worked at the college as well, that came across as a potential love interest for Deckland - but was still grieving for the loss of her husband and child (...again, if I remember correctly). Deckland was an early 30ish brunette that often wore glasses- Probably 5' 9" - 5'10" or so. Can't remember the actors name. Very family friendly show.

What are some interesting mysteries or unexplained events in American History? Just bored and looking for something interesting to research online.
Why are increasing neurological diseases unexplained in the US? If agricultural soils in many areas are laden with chemicals which the FDA does not label toxic, but which are, could these chemicals be creating the many wasting illnesses and neurological diseases that the United States and other countries are facing? How much research money is spent on objectively verifying safety of these chemicals? Our rates of breast cancer, prostate cancers, and neurological diseases are increasing without any explanation by authoritative sources. How can this remain an enigma? Why is money channeled into new drug research rather than investigating the true root causes of these serious diseases? Our universities appear satisfied in developing new drugs for big pharma. These drugs treat symptoms rather than uncovering root causes.
In what year did the US government lift the requirement for the mentally impaired to be in military service? It's a strange question, buuuut then again unexplained research questions can seem like that....to the untrained eye. *pokes eye* I know it's a touchy subject, but I really need this.
Do you have unexplained reacurring boils? You may have hidredenitis suppurativa. It's is claimed to be a rare skin condition. I don't believe it's so rare. I believe it is mostly unreported or misdiagnosed. Until more people who are suffering from this sometimes painful condition come out of the woodwork, it will continue to stay labled as rare and that means no funding for research. Could you be a sufferer and not know it? http://www.hs-usa.org/hidradenitis_suppurativa.htm Be sure to click on the link below to learn about hidradenitis suppurativa. I meant the link ABOVE : )
What causes unexplained bruising? I have unexplained bruising on my right kneecap and lower leg. I haven't injured myself and by the way, I'm 26-years-old, therefore I'm not sure what could be causing this because I've been generally healthy thus far. I did a little research and I read that Leukemia and Diabetes could be a culprit, worse case scenario. So, I don't have insurance, and I know that I should see a doctor and I don't know what to do. Should this be a cause for concern, because the bruises keep appearing for no reason that I'm aware of...?
Can you name 5 interesting (not neccessarily nice) unexplained events / crimes? Through my psychology course I was introduced to a variety of subjects, one of those being criminology and unexplained events. We also concentrated on public interest and knowledge regarding past events / crimes. Could you name me some cases that are not listed below so that I can research them and complete my survey:- Dyatlov Pass Incident Kidnapping of Madeline McCann The Black Dahlia The Bermuda Triangle Quite a mixture I know. Many thanks.
the unexplained? is there a job where you can like.....look and research for the unexplained; such as aliens, ghosts, big foot....etc? is there a name for that? *i'm not looking for "scientist"*
how are miracles are unexplained phenomenons? i have an essay ...and i need to research the topic and write how...? what do u think? thanx in advance
What is that legend tripping website? I was watching A Haunting's episode about the legend trippers and those 3 kids who went to Dartford Cemetery and their dare was if they sat on top of the mosoleum a ghost will push them off it or something. and the website url on the ep started with "http://www.legend" but i cant seem to find the rest of it. I just keep getting sent back to unexplained research.com. can someone show me the website they went to with all the ghost dares and "legend trips"?
What kind of books did your parents have when you were a child? What kind of books did your parents have in your house as you were growing up? Not books for you, but books for them... See, as i was growing up my parents had books on the theory of alien civilizations & extraterrestrial research, amongst other things such as psychology books & books on unexplained phenomenons. Today I am very interested in these things, especially the alien stuff. As my mum was growing up her mum had a lot of books about the workings of the brain & a lot of encyclopedias & today she is very stuff like that. From this i saw a pattern. How about you? Do your current interests stem from the books you grew up around as a child?
Have you ever seen or heard of ball lightning? Ball lightning is apparently very rare. I have tried to research it, but realized that it is an unexplained phenomenon. Everyone that has seen it describes it differently, but it is usually some sort of floating ball of light that can be different colors. I know someone who saw it as a ball of green light that appeared over a lake which zig-zagged around and then disappeared. Does anyone have any stories like this? I think that it would be interesting to find out if anyone else has heard of this phenomenon or actually seen it. Thanks!
What are some good ways to spot psychic frauds and con artists? Regardless of their stance on serious research, few people will deny that there are many con artists trying to make money by convincing people of their special "knowledge and abilities". Not only are they scamming people, these con artists are a burden to any serious investigation of unexplained phenomena. How can people spot them and avoid being taken advantage of?
Why do I keep getting bruises on the back of my legs? I constantly have large bruises on the back of my legs around my calves. They appear out of no where and are not caused from injury or trauma to the area. I don't want to research it b/c then I will convince myself that I have some rare form of a disease :) Just wondering if anyone knows what can cause these unexplained bruises? Thanks Also, could it be a vitamin dificiency and if so what vitamins would I be lacking? I have heard that lack of Vitamin D causes bruises.
Is unexplained weight loss at death a fact? My understanding is that the research was faulty or inconclusive.

What is the Qur'an in the Muslim story of life creation? I have searched everywhere and there is no clear explanation to what this is. Is it a person or thing? Please fill me in or give me a useful site that I can understand. The reason I ask is because I have a 500 word research assignment based on the comparison of Muslim beliefs and Christian beliefs of how life was created. The "Qur'an" is mentioned but unexplained in my sources.
could you develop an eating disorder from mere emotion instability? It may sound odd, but I would like to know as research for my [realistic fiction] book. If, per say, the one person in your life whom you love the most - a best friend, perhaps - dies suddenly, could you ('you' being the remaining best friend) develop an uncontrolled eating disorder? Like, if one became rather emotional, could that be released through unexplained vomiting (not stimulated through sticking your finger down your throat or anything of the sorts) or lack of appetite?
Atheists: How long have you been an atheist? I have been an atheist for over 30 years but I was raised as a Primitive Baptist. My father became an atheist also (based on questions that I asked and the extensive research that followed) and my mother later became agnostic. She still has a tiny bit of fear in her that will not allow her to be an atheist, although she thinks the Bible is ridiculous. She feels there is an unexplained higher power. How long have you been an atheist? What about your parents? Believers or nonbelievers?
I just woke up to the unexplained... paranormal? WTF? I had a very long dream (most likely from lack of sleep last night) and it abruptly stopped when I heard an EXTREMELY loud noise and I mean louder than a doorbell, like fog horn in the room loud. This noise was a buzzing noise like on a game show that lasted maybe a second and a half. I was confused and thought maybe it was from my dream but it still doesn't add up because I was random and I woke up from it... I then went back to sleep and within 10 minutes I wake up from another dream to the SAME EXACT SOUND that lasted for the same exact amount of time as the buzzing before.... I have a self defense weapon near my bed and I thought someone might have been trying to mess with me or somethin and I eventually walked around my whole house to see that no one was there.... I have nothing in my house that would make that noise and this noise was really loud. What is this... I've never heard anything like this and I wasn't undereep paralysis... This is just unexplained and I am the type to find answers and research, but this is beyond anything I can believe, how is this even possible?
Did anyone taking Yaz have a heart attack? I am a very healthy 34 year old woman who had a heart attack recently. My doctors are baffled. I have no family history, have never been overweight, never smoked or used ANY drugs, no diabetes, good cholesterol. I am 5'2" and 115 lbs. I have been released from the hospital after having angioplasty, and through my internet research found that my birth control, YAZ, could have caused this unexplained heart attack. Please reach out if you are in a similar situation.
Has the scientific method become confused with engineering problem solving; and is this a concern? It seems that there has been a fundamental (philosophical) redefinition of science (at least among those who fund scientific research) and the scientific method into something that more resembles a traditional engineering model. At every level, research questions are phrased as if their solution involves defining or estimating known parameters in straightforward systems with almost no unexplained variance. Isn’t it bad enough that the concepts of scientific theory and hypotheses have already been thoroughly corrupted at the societal level?
Do u think o.s.i.r.(office of scientific research and investigation) exists? www.osir.info http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/viewnews.php?id=65179 if yes then where is it located? who funds it? what researches are carried on there?
Do any of you know where I could find a I Hate the Georgia Aquarium? Personally, being a Middle School student in Georgia, studying biology is in the curriculum. When I went to the Georgia Aquarium I was quite bored. As the minutes when on, that boredom turned to almost hatred, with the ads everywhere and the baluga whales on display in that oversized fish cave. Don't chastise me but, I don't thing animals belong in places like this. After recently hearing avout the euthinization of Gasper and the still unexplained death of Ralph the Whale Shark that just tore the last straw. So, I feel like going on a "I Hate the Georgia Aquarium" web site. I am also writing a poem about how cruel it is to keep animals in zoos and aquariums, are there web sites where I could research this?
Can you make a live 10th prestige lobby on mw2 without a jtag? Is there a real x files in the FBI? No, I am not a hopeful X-Files fan being deceived by the series, but while I was checking out news on the new movie, I remembered a documentary I saw some time ago on an officer in the FBI who is officially assigned, or does, paranormal or unexplained research, or something like that, and I couldn't find anything about it on the Web. Does anyone know any information on this division or person?
My girlfriend may have a spirit following her what should i do? She says that she has felt this all her life but it just started again recently since she has lived with me. I have just recently started to notice things like unexplained thumps and feeling like I'm being suffocated while laying beside her. It doesn't feel like paranoia because it seems absent when she isn't here. Even when I'm alone and researching this situation the house is quiet and I feel normal. She is getting more scared by the day and I don't know what to do any advice?
Should I worry about my 8yr old's blood sugars if they are a bit high consistently? He just turned 8. He drinks a lot and eats about every 1 1/2 hours, has been more emotional lately, with some unexplained tummy aches. I did his reading more on a whim a couple of months ago and followed up with the ped. They did a workup and said his A1C was 5.4, which I know is normal, but barely. My gut instinct said to just keep an eye on him. His highest reading had been 174, but now the last 3 were 206, 172, 215. All of the research that I have done seems to say that ones glucose should never ever be that high no matter what. Some tell me that this would be the 1st stages of Type 1 and that I am catching it b4 most do. My Mom is a RN and her colleuges agree and I know 1 person with Type 1 and she says the same. I would like to know the opinions of the Yahoo Community as well. Does anyone out there deal with Diabetes; and should I be worried?
What do we mean when we something exists or something does not exist? The question "What do we mean when we something exists or something does not exist?" is a fundamental Q in philosophy(in the branch called *Metaphysics* which every philosopher has to tackle. I want your take and some rational justification/explanation for your position. Off-the-cuff unreasoned, unexplained A's are worthless, so please do not post them. This Q is not for amateurs who have never pondered and researched the Q seriously. Scientists like philosophers all have had to ask and answer this Q especially in physics, so their answers are of interest to me TWH 05272007-2 Anyone heard of Kant or Hume or Descartes or Plato? They all considered the Q which is key to defining what is real and what isn't. Before answering do some research on the net and familiarize yourself with the ideas of history's best minds. Winging it is just not sufficient. lostagain1701 Descartes was a Rationalist which means he emphasized the powers of reason over our perceptual abilities which he felt, like Plato before him, were unreliable and the subject of doubt and uncertainty. (google Plato's Cave Analogy) Your answer indicates that you may have an incorrect understanding of how Descartes, a metaphysical dualist, divided up reality into 2 kinds of substances: a thought substance Res cogitans)and a material substance (Res extensa). TWH 06022007 Muthu brings up the point that we cannot perceive what does not undergo change. The process of perception involves changes in the object perceived and the changes in the subject doing the perceiving making it hard to pin down what exactly one means when someone says that something *exists*.It is even more difficult to explain when something *does not exist* because if something has no existence how exactly do you know that for a fact? What exactly tells you something is not there? Kant tried to sort this out by proposing qualities of the mind that structure our human experience. TWH 06022007-2 I like Don H effort to shed light on what we mean when we say that things are made of atoms when we know that atoms are mostly made of empty space in which different tiny particles with different properties form the atoms in complex ways with lots of energy exchanges going on inside and between them. TWH 06022007-3
The "belief in god's" only hope.... the "unexplained" and the "unknown" is this all you have in your favor? the belief in god's survival is dependent on the unknown. When the unknown is uncovered, God believers are screwed. So they have wishful thinking.Ex."we will never know everything" Of course, they want that. That's what's keeping their belief alive That's why God believers have a big problem with scientists. Scientists are constantly doing research on the unknown.
Unexplained Blurred Vision? For the past week my vision has been pretty blurry, I can see things close to me however if I look far (literally 5 meters or so) it blurs up. I've never had a problem with my vision before and its always been perfect. At first I thought it was allergies but I did some research and found out that diabetes can also cause this, and my dad has diabetes, I did some testing for it but I was fine... (Another thing, around the sockets of my eyes feels swollen when I wake up, for about 5-6 hours) I dont think its a stroke, I'm only 16 but Ill definitely get it checked out
Unexplained circular rash/pattern on my back? 3 PM today I saw the "rash" on my back where one would have a tramp stamp tattoo, dead center. 6 raised circles with a circle in middle, all circles are the same size it is COMPLETELY symmetrical which is what freaks me out the most. I went to the doctor at 4 PM and he told me he had never seen anything like it in his career and that it was not ring worm and it was not a fungus, he said it looked like someone had branded me like they do cows. Anyone have a similar situation? Any possible explanations? I've been doing research but havent come up with anything useful. PICTURE- http://www.flickr.com/photos/65535366@N05/5968128243/in/photostream I asked about the possibility of lyme disease and there is no chance that I leaned on anything, I washed my truck, took about 30 minutes and my mother pointed out the rash, I didn't even know it was there. It's almost 9 PM now, the circles aren't rasied anymore it now looks like a scar.
Unexplained miscarriages/ contaminated town water? I live in a small town in Pa where the population is less then 2000. My wife recently miscarried at 9 weeks. This my not sound abnormal but 3 other women in the town in the last 4 months have all miscarried at between 7 and 10 weeks all of the females are healthy and all already have chirldren. All are between 21 and 28 years old. Another girl I know just had an ultrasound at 8 months and found out her baby doesn't have a brain stem. There is only one doctor in town and he cant give any of the girls answers as to why they have miscarried. There is a coal mine in the town and over the summer they started spraying chemicals (treated human waste) to make grass grow over the top. I have done research online and found that trihalomethanes combined with high organic acids in chlorinated water can lead to early term miscarriages but we all have well water. I also read something about animal waste contamination, and this is the heart of farmland. Can anybody shed any light on this situation?
Unexplained seizures? Since about the age of 14/15 I have been having seizures. They start of where I space out and can't really hear or see anything clearly, then I fall to the floor and start shaking uncontrollabley. It gets to the point where I can't breathe properly because I am shaking so much. I suffer from secondary chronic fibromyalgia, costochondrisis (not sure of spelling) and artheritis. I am not sure if it is linked with any of these or something else. I have had every test under the sun and they have all come back normal apart from my blood test for my sugar levels, which there was a slight abnormality but nothing further was explored. I have been doing some research and I don't know wether it could possibly hypoglycimia as there is a history of that in my family and i have started to keep a food and excercise diary and am seing that i am having seizures often when i have eaten either a lot of sugar and then had a come down or not eaten enough sugar for that day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Jess
Unexplained pain/ache/tenderness in right arm.. What could be causing it? It started off about a week ago, maybe two weeks ago. my thumb began aching, and hurting, along with that side of my arm. It was a very sharp pain, and seemed to be coming out of nowhere. I then had a herpetic whitlow outbreak on my right thumb, so i wasn't paying as much attention to my pain.. but now It has switched sides of my arms. Now my pinkie and ring finger are experiencing it (along with that side of my arm, up to my elbow).. last time my thumb, forefinger, and the left side of my middle finger was tender. It is tender to touch, with no recent trauma or obvious swelling. Now, it seems to be tender to cold as well. It is very difficult to explain. Any ideas on what it could be? I've been trying to research it.. but, no luck. I'm wondering if it could have something to do with nerve damage? Well.. thank you to all those who answer. :D
unexplained light anomalies? About a year ago I was on the phone and I was walking into my livingroom and something shot across the room and kinda hoverd next to me by the wall but i could see through it. It had kinda like black sparks shooting out of it . But ive been obsessed with trying to find out what it was.. Here are some pics that i have found on the net that look like what i have seen can anyone tell me what they are and what they are called so i can research it ty http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b350/cremedelacrem/light_anomalies_lg.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b350/cremedelacrem/moon_streak_lg.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b350/cremedelacrem/light_worms_lg.jpg

The others are yellow-greenish in color..two on one arm, the other has one,and then 2 on one of my thighs. They dont hurt as well. Unexplained recurrant miscarriage and undiagnosed Autoimmune/Hypothyroidism problems????!!!!!? I am a 22 year old with recurrant miscarriages. I am 5'5 140 lbs and exercise daily. I had my first in 2009 at 7 weeks, one at 4 weeks (blighted ovum) also in 2009, and my latest in October of 2010 at 8 weeks. The last one was diagnosed as a Partial mole. I had a d&c and hcg returned to normal within 2 weeks. I had weekly, bi weekly and finally monthly quants drawn to make sure hcg remained the same in which they did. The baby had Trisomy 7. After this, just to make sure my husband and I had the basic infertility workup done. Everything showed normal. ALong with me having a diagnostic Lap, Hysteroscopy, and HSG procedures which showed a thinner than normal left tube, a few adhesions that were removed and a cyst. Other than that everything was perfect. Autoimmune Diseases like Lupus, Celiac, and Hashimotos run in my family and my mother was diagnosed with ITP a year before I was born. Between my mother grandmother, 2 aunts, great grandmother and great aunt, there were 12 miscarriages, and 2 stillbirths. I have had widespread pain ever since I can remember. To the point where in childhood people thought I was making it up. I wake up at 6 am,get dressed, eat, drive to school, and by lunchtime when I am at clinicals, I find myself feeling as if I havent slept in days. I am always cold, and fluctuate b/w anemia and borderline anemia. I sweat more than average woman and my breasts leak on occasion with no stimulation. (prolactin was normal )My TSH levels were checked a month ago and they were normal I didnt get an actual number but just that they were normal, however my grandmothers TSH levels were "normal" while still having debilitating symptoms for 3 years before they finally diagnosed her with Hashimotos. I do not want to go through another miscarraige and am so confused as to what to do. My OBgyn is a good DR. but not so attentitive. What do I need to do and what steps should I take to get there. I am so lost in all the mounds of research I have done within the past year. Please help :l Thank you in advance!

Unexplained phenomenon in care homes and in hospitals occurs? Hello There is a phenomenon of conversation method which occurs occasionally in the mental health and care field, but more often in a hospital environment such as the ER; but I do not know what it is exactly. The dictionary doesn't help me too much with trying to get the right descriptions, and it is even harder to articulate. I have seen this on TV with car accident victims when they are being cut out of wreckages by the fire brigade, and the ambulance crews are trying to get them into an ambulance; it is as if they are trained talk this way. It consists of talking to you 'quite literally' in the same tone, wording and type of talk which you would give to a child of about age of 4; and this is a problem which can be intensely explicit and intense in nature. For instance; if you told a slight lie; they would 'literally' say things like "Are you telling little porky pies?" like you would small child while pointing at you, and would be trying to make you laugh. Since your embarrassed from this phenomenon, it would probably work (which would add fuel to the fire, when they then say "I told you, that you were lying" while laughing and pointing). You would probably assume that if you heard it from a staff member, that the person whom was doing this, thought that the person that they were talking was either a small child or was someone with severe mental disabilities; but often the people that on the receiving end of this problem only have slight mental disabilities (the patients). The patient can also be fully aware of the tone of vioce, behavior and social interaction difference; and aware of when it turns to complete normality if this staff member talks to another staff member, a parent or someone whom is not another patient. Conventional methods of preventing this problem don’t always work (where the patient talks to the staff member about this behavior). Such methods of prevention include the following… 1) The patient identifies with the staff member that this is causing a problem, that it is offensive and disrespectful. 2) The patient demonstrating to the staff, their abilities academically and mentally in all areas is high. 3) Talking to the staff's managers about it. However many cases are immune to this technique, and I have not worked out the scientific principals for why this is, without reverse engineering it (creating of flow-charts, studying, doing tests and the use of audio recording and other investigation methods which are a part of scientific methodology for research). Such cases which have this immunity, the staff member shows that they are deliberately ignoring the patients requests by pretending that this kind of talking is a normal interaction to the patient, and they say "I am not talking silly, honest!", but they still say that like they would to a 4 year old! In many cases the patient will know that the staffs know they know, since the patient identified so clearly enough what the problem is to the staff; and it is still immune to conventional troubleshooting methods. No matter what effort is made by the patient in these cases to evidence their level of ability, which may even be extremely highly skilled and advanced compared to normal people; this immunity still persists; and persists like someone trying to put out a nuclear furnace with a water pistol. It won’t be long before the fire service and ambulance crew read stories from ‘Thomas the tank engine’ to keep road accident victims still when they cut apart the twisted metal from the accident victims legs. What is this phenomenon, what causes it, and how to do you prevent it? Why does it happen? CREED

Unexplained medical problems? I am a 22 year old male. I have always been a little overweight since I was a child. I have a history of asthma and depression, but other than that I have always been relatively healthy. In the last few years I have noticed some changes going on. Some things have been happening that have really concerned me in one way or another. I usually attribute it to anxiety and choose to ignore it. Let me start from the beginning. About 3 or 4 years ago I noticed some odd rashes on my skin. Brown in color, oddly shaped, but it was a consistent shape. it sometimes got lighter or darker but now it has almost disappeared. A few weeks ago I noticed some similar patches around my neck and shoulder area. I figured it was odd so I did what most other people do when they have a medical question but are too broke to go see a doctor... Web MD! I know reading that stuff will give you a panic attack just thinking about what you could have but hey, it was something. After checking some symptoms I googled some images of skin rashes hoping to match up what I had with someone else who had been diagnosed with something. I came across something that looked very similar, and it told me it was a lupus rash. I did some research and found out more about it but I figured the skin rash part of it was nothing to worry about and people just lived with it. However some new symptoms have me wondering. Last winter was horrible for me. I don't know what I caught but it really knocked me on my butt for about three days. I had a severe fever and fatigue, but after 3 days of rest I felt better. Unfortunately somehow I ended up with an extreme case of Bronchitis which aggravated my asthma symptoms. I started taking my asthma medication again (I had stopped for the last 5 years because I never had anymore symptoms since I was a kid) and on some nights when I felt I couldn't breathe I also took an albuterol nebulizer and my symptoms started to improve. One day I was at my fiance's house and some things started to happen. On top of my allergies to her cats I kept coughing because of this bronchitis I couldn't shake. I started having chest pains which freaked me out so I drove myself to the local Emergency Room. The diagnosis was Allergy induced asthma, and bronchitis with bronchospasms. I was prescribed a steroid (prednisone) to open up my airways and sure enough I got better. However one thing I notice now is that I sometimes feel like I don't get enough air, like I can't breathe in deep enough. It seems to happen more when I eat a lot so I have been avoiding eating as well. This really concerns me. I was not feeling well last night and I was searching online as usual for an answer. Out of the possible causes list of my symptoms (of about 50 different causes), up popped that name again. Lupus. Sigh. So I did some more searching to lupus related to some of my symptoms. These result alarmed me. I read a few personal accounts where people who had tested positive for lupus were experiencing very similar symptoms to what I have been feeling. One story was of a 10 year old girl who DIED from complications to lupus and MRSA. That scared the crap out of me. My fiance is pregnant and due later this year so I really want to make sure I am around for a long time to take care of her and my child. I just started a new job and another thing that alarmed me was when I had a drug test the report said they found trace amounts of protein in my urine. Hmm. Did some searching and the cause of that was also associated with symptoms of lupus. I am away from home for 4 weeks out of the month as an over the road truck driver and I have little time to be messing around with doctor's appointments. Do I sound crazy or do I have reason to be concerned?
Unexplained recurrant miscarriages & possible autoimmune disorder?
Unexplained things happening in my house? I just moved into a new house about 2 weeks ago. Its an older house built in 1945, and about a week ago I came into my room and someone had written a date and time on my wall in pen. The ink was so fresh that when I touched it it came off on my hand. And the pen was lying in the floor. Then today I went into the basement to fold clothes and my dryer was open and the clothes that where inside where thrown all over the basement floor. Then about 20 minutes later I went into my room and my make up was thrown all over my bed room floor. My older brother came by to hang out and couldn't even stay more than 5 minutes because he said he got a bad vibe when he was here, and I haven't even told him about any of this so I know he wasn't trying to mess with me. I'm also the only one who lives here and I haven't had any visitors. Also when I sleep at night, I constantly feel like someone is watching me. I did research and can't find that anything happened in this house. So I don't know what to do. At John S: I had all of the locks changed the day I moved it. And no me and my brother have an extremely close relationship and he didn't even know how to get to my new house yet when all of this occurred. I have no mental illness. lol And I know it wasn't me because I was awake and unpacking all morning the day I walked in and seen the writing on the wall. I have thought about setting up a camera but I'm too afraid of what I might see on it. If things continue like this I intend on moving out. And for all that want to know, the writing on the wall just said April 30 at 2:30. I have no idea what to make of it but I intend on locking myself in my house on that day lol
Amitriptyline causing sodium retention ? I am currently taking 100mg of Amitriptyline every night and have been doing so for over 4 years. In the time I have noticed small unexplained weight gain, and after doing some research on the internet I found an article that stated this medicine can cause sodium retention. Now it states that a low sodium diet will help to solve this but I was wondering if their are any supplements out their that can help with this problem, just in case I want to eat a meal every once in awhile that has higher amounts of sodium.
3 year old with unexplained itchy red rash.? My son has been itching for 2 weeks now. I took him to the doctors and she told me it was dry skin and to get an unscented soap, hydrocortizone cream, a good lotion like Aveeno and I bought some Tide Free laundry soap. There was no rash at that time but they did a strep test and it came back neg. That was a week and a half ago. Yesterday he woke up with a rash all over his body. I took him back to the doctors and at first look they said that it looks like scarlet fever. He had no sore throat, no fever, and strep test came back neg again. The itching is so intense that he wakes up many times at night crying. During the day he itches. He is so miserable as nothing helps him. He is now at the ER with my husband so maybe we can get some answers from there. They said the same thing....looks like scarlet fever. It is actually spreading up his neck since hes been there. There are no other symptoms. They are sending this out for a culture this time to the lab. All doctors have no clue what it could be. Has anyone else been through this? Or maybe have any answers that I can mention to his doctor or research?
What causes a persistent, unexplained high fever in a four year old? My son has had a high fever (between 102-104) since March. He has it for a couple weeks, then it goes away for a couple weeks, then it comes back. I have taken him to the doctor numerous times and they can't figure out what is wrong. There are no other symptoms. No cold, flu, strep, urine is fine, etc. They have done blood work and still haven't come up with anything. Please does anyone have any suggestions or anything that would help or that I could research. Anything!! I am planning on taking him to another doctor for a second opinion soon but I need to figure this out. Any help is appreciated greatly.
Why do I have unexplained nausea? I'm twenty years old and for about a year and a half now I have been getting extremely nauseous, usually for no reason. It all started when I got food-poisoning from a frozen pizza. After that, every month or two out of nowhere I'd just feel extremely nauseated and vomit. Over time, it got more and more frequent to where recently it was a couple times a week I would at least FEEL nauseated (no vomiting most of the time). When I did end up getting sick, I would end up shaking and shivering, and the only way for this to go away was for me to take two Dramamine's and recline on my bed watching TV until I basically passed out from exhaustion. It usually occurs when I'm full, if I'm excited, nervous, stressed, or any other form of extreme emotion. I was taking TUMS for this, but my doctor steered me away from them. He doesn't like me taking Dramamine during my episodes either. He prescribed me Prilosec OTC to take daily, and the episodes are much less frequent; perhaps every couple of weeks now, but they are still occurring. I spoke with someone on my fathers' side about this since I have lost ten pounds in about two months (I am 5'9" and was at 150lbs, now at 140lbs), and he said that he takes a heartburn pill for acid reflux disease daily, and that upset me. I really don't want to have to live on taking a heartburn pill every day for the rest of my life; it's a hassle. People have told me that it could be an ulcer, but those are usually painful and I very rarely ever feel pain. The doctor tested for H. Pylori but there was nothing. Is there something else it could possibly be for me to research? I don't know where else to turn and I have an odd feeling that this could be something worse than just acid reflux, since I never feel heartburn. Any help or insight would be wonderful.
Could any of the underlying causes of GOUT also cause unexplained weight gain? I am a 22 year old female. My natural weight is 125 pounds. I really didn't exercise that much and my diet was horrendous, but my weight always remained the same. A couple months ago I decided to start going to the gym (just to tone up) and start eating right (more fruits and veggies, less pasta) My weight was rapidly increasing (I'm 153lbs now!?!? I gained over 25 pounds in just a couple months, I cannot explain this!?) And I cannot figure it out for the life of me why this would be. My diet is almost PERFECT, and I work out regularly. I have noticed my joints (especially my knees, hips, ankles, elbows) have been getting very stiff and sore. Then a couple days ago I woke up with swollen/bruised ankles and knees but did not have an injury. In fact I haven't been to the gym in almost a week and a half due to a pretty bad cold. All my research for swollen/bruised joints lead to Gout. Is there any underlying causes of gout that could have influenced my crazy weight gain as well??
How should I go about getting a diagnosis for my intermittent unexplained pain? I have been having pain in random areas (usually upper arms and legs, usually near joints, neck and back, usually along my spine, various areas on my stomach and ribs, and scalp) for years, but the pain and frequency has recently increased. I get pain in a random place about four times a day, but it can happen more or less frequently depending on stress. There are no bruises or other visible signs of injury in the areas I have pain. I tend to ignore minor pain because of a prior health problem that caused pain in my chest (with a physical cause that could not be easily treated, that has since mostly disappeared), so the actual frequency of pain may be higher than I remember. When someone presses (not too hard, but not a light touch) on certain spots on my body, I have pretty intense pain on that point in my muscle. There are other spots that, when pressed, cause pain in other areas, usually along the same muscle or near the point that is pressed. I get muscle spasms in my back and neck pretty a few times a week. I have also had insomnia for as long as I can remember. Although I am tired almost all the time, I have a really hard time falling asleep. I have also been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, anxiety, and temperamental joint syndrome. I also have allergies, but I really doubt they're related. Because the pain has gotten worse over the past few weeks (probably due to stress), I am looking for a solution, or at least a diagnosis. As a result of the research I have done of my symptoms, I suspect that it is fibromyalgia, but I am open to other possibilities. I know that Rheumatologists usually diagnose and treat fibromyalgia and other similar illnesses, but I'm not sure if I should try to go to a specialist immediately or if I should go to my Internist first. What can I do to up my chances of being diagnosed quickly and correctly? I eat healthy and have a balanced diet. I really like vegetables, especially those high in magnesium and calcium and I eat meat and fish (B12). I am outside without sunscreen for around 30 min per day without sunscreen (less in summer when sun is stronger). I really doubt I have a vitamin D, B12, Calcium, or Magnesium deficiency. I'm more concerned with getting a diagnosis at the moment than treating blindly, so my main question is about how to get diagnosed. I also do not believe that alternative medicine can help in all cases. Neither can traditional medicine, but at least traditional medicine is scientifically proven more frequently. Treatment without diagnosis is unlikely to work. The sleep problems can't have been caused by muscle pain because I have had sleep problems for my whole life. The most prominent random pain I get is in my legs. My muscles are tense in my neck and back, but I can't see why that would give me pain in my lower leg, which is the pain I've been dealing with today. No OTC pain medicine helps much with the pain (even in blocking it), but I remember having slightly less pain when I was on an SSRI for anxiety. I needed to stop taking 2 different ones due to side effects. I forgot to mention that I also have restless leg syndrome. Also, the pain feels a little like restless leg syndrome at times (more constantly annoying than agonizing), but feels like stabbing, throbbing, or cramping pain at other times. Douglas, I tried to do those stretches, but pressing in some of the areas you suggest causes the localized pain I mentioned in the original question. I thought that my count of the number of times I felt random pain was low, so I started recording it. My count was very low. The number of times per day I feel pain is more like 50-100, but it often comes and goes in a few different areas or lasts only 30 seconds, so I've just been ignoring most instances of pain.
Firestone commercial - market research fail? Does the current Firestone commercial ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-SMjhtIJOM&feature=related ) remind anyone else of The Simpsons' Canyonero bit ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4QgWRycd7I )? All I can think of when I see the Firestone commercials now is the line from the Canyonero commercial about how "unexplained fires are a matter for the courts." lol Why would Firestone's marketing team want to remind people of how their tires make cars roll over and explode?
Does anybody know some good ghost stories? I am doing a research paper in english and it is supposed to be on Ghost or unexplained phenomona. If you have any good ones please inform on where you got your information from, It would really help me!!

Would Banfield Vets lie about a fatal diagnosis just to get more money? Took my cat to Banfield yesterday to get a dental cleaning & the dr. called to say that they couldn't do it because his bloodwork indicated he had kidney problems, then after a urineanalysis he said it was kidney failure, a genetic condition. This appt. cost more than the dental itself; the office visit, bloodwork & urinalysis - $250. Then he said I need to take my cat in for another blood test, a sonogram and a possible biopsy. The whole thing will cost over $600. What bothered me was he was unsympathetic & also looked like he was getting away with something. I researched Banfield and came up with all these horror stories on bad treatment, overcharging, fraudulent "wellness plans", unexplained deaths and misdiagnosis. I will take my cat to another vet but right now he's too traumatized and tired (I also heard they can be rough & abusive). Has anyone had similar experiences w/Banfield & would a vet actually tell you your pet has a terminal illness just to get more tests/money??
Unexplained Skin Pain? I have a small patch on my shoulder blade that hurts to the touch. It feels almost like pins and needles and a sunburn mixed together. I have no redness, or any other sign that there is anything wrong with the area. I have had it since December of last year, and feels to be getting worse. Just turning in bed, or putting a shirt on causing it to hurt a lot. It is not shingles, nor is it a muscle problem. No one can figure it out! I was hoping for an answer from someone who has had this similar problem and had it diagnosed by a physician, so I can give my doctor some ideas. After researching my own symptoms, I was thinking it might be Neuropathic Pain?
Is it even possible, I want to part of it? Okay after reading this article: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=130606 I did some research and I noticed something. Is it possible than NASA is doing research on the unknown, parallel universe, Jinns, the unexplained, and Quranic research? I am just asking an opinion and please give feedback, becuase I have seen som proofs of this...
Unexplained headaches, dizziness...anyone been through this? I have been having headaches everyday for about a month; dizziness several times a day, sometimes lasting for several minutes; and memory loss...I don't remember things that just happened, like making phone calls, where I left my keys, etc. Those are the most noticeable symptoms, I have several others as well. My monthly cycles have been shortening, fatigue to the point I feel like I need a nap a few hours after waking up from 8-10 hour nights of sleep. I have also had a decreased appetite. I have tried researching these symptoms, but come up with several different causes...all with these common symptoms. Has anyone been through this and come up with a diagnosis?? I am at a loss, and don't know what else to do. I have not changed anything lifestyle-wise, nor have I had a head injury...
unexplained bleeding and cramping during 2nd trimester.? I am rh- and around 13 weeks experienced a brown discharge that over the next five days progressed into heavier ( not as bad as a period) red blood. I have been to the ER, and they said the baby is fine but gave me no explanation for the bleeding or mild cramps I am now 15 weeks and it hasn't stopped, I felt better seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat but I'm still worried because I don't know what is causing the bleeding or mild cramps. I want to hear stories from other people that this has happened to, where they still had a healthy baby. I have researched everything on the internet and cannot find an explanation for my problem, I just want some reassurance that this is occasionally normal and my baby will be fine. sry this is so long I'm just really scared.
Unexplained Sudden Weight Gain? Over the last two months I have had a sudden weight gain, and I don't understand why. I eat very healthy, exercise everyday and drink occassionally. I recently came off the pill, which I had been on for 6 years, however I thought being on the pill caused weight gain not weight loss. Could this explain my sudden weight gain. Since coming off the pill I have had my period once in the last 6 months. I went to a doctor who prescribed some hormone tablets to make me have my period. This did help as I got my period once but I haven't had it since. I have always been rather slim. I am 164cm and usually weigh between 50 - 53kg. However now I am 57kg, the heaviest I have ever been. I know I am not overweight, but I don't feel comfortable and worry about this all the time. Does anyone have any advice. I don't need advice on exercising and eating well because I already do that. I have researched a lot and am doing everything right.
unexplained cramping... help? okay, i thought i might be pregnant, but i've been researching it and it just doesn't make sense. i mean, i just got off my period and if i was pregnant, it would've been from two weeks before my period. anyways, i stopped monday. i've been cramping since then and friday night when i went to the restroom, i noticed pink on the toilet paper. by saturday morning, i was fine/back to normal. i've still been cramping, though, and i've been feeling dizzy and getting headaches every night. oh, and the cramps are those ones you get around your ribs, like usually when you exercise? usually when it's due to my period or pms, it's in my abdomen. what's going on here?

A question about further education? Okay I have decided to take Aerospace Engineering in Univerity. As a practical part of my future Career at NASA or for the government. I have heard that you Learn Astrophysics in Aerospace too, so I was wondering if along with that or after that can I get a PhD in Astrophysics? If I can do that, then I wil be able to do the practical and the theory part of Astrophysics (I want to research on the unexplained O.o)
Can anyone help me with this? Okay I need help making an acronym for something I'm doing. I want to use some of the words or synonyms to the words listed below to make it. I want it to be like a real word or at least a word you can say. (For example like COM or CORP. Or it can be a short one like FBI or CIA, That's easily said.) The words I want to use are (and they can be any words related to these words): Unsolved Mystery Agency Group Investigate (I'd prefer if this one was used somewhere in the acronym) Research Phenomenon Unexplained Anomaly Please type it so I can see what words you use too. Thanks
Why, despite extensive research, has no one been able to explain how life started on earth from dead material? Some people ask us to believe that life started miraculously from a totally dead planet made up from trillions of tons of lifeless rocks. Surely, (as Darwin did), even a blind man on galloping horse could see that there had to have been some form of intervention from a Divine force. The biggest myth about Charles Darwin was, and indeed still is, that he was an atheist. He was not and he argued that his discoveries should not be interpreted as God v Science. He believed that his discoveries left too much unexplained and said so many times. The evidence for Darwin's theory of evolution may, or may not be able to convince you but nowhere does it, nor can it explain how and why life was created from dead rocks and particles? Wicket witch, your word for word quote from Wikiapedia regarding the theory of biogenesis was most embarrassingly pathetic and utterly unimpressive. I see you are someone with severe intellectual disabilities and the terminologies of an older woman of dubious profession. "Sweetie"!!!. Yes I can just imagine you standing under the lamppost swinging your handbag saying, hi "Sweetie to all the passing men. I was not merging the two theories but kept the two "theories separate. My reference to Darwin was that even he, as the biggest exponent of evolution was unable to answer this question which must be fundamental to his belief of non divine dreation of life. I am absolutely open minded and unbiased on the subject and simply invited opinions. With a few exceptions, the answers as far as No.7 are truly woeful. If they don't improve I will delete the question and put you lot out of your misery. Ah no, what a bunch of benighted, cliche quoting, moronic wannabe intellectuals." "I see so much failure in the question"!!. What a pitiful, unoriginal and contemptible endeavour at presenting a rational argument. Yes sirree Bob, the mutants have all come out tonight.I simply do not believe that one site can have so many dimwits on at the same time. This question is and has been the subject for reasoned and unbiased debate for many years. Obviously this is the wrong forum on which to find individuals capable of such an intelletual fete.I will remove my question. Bye bye phonies.
WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD BE THE PERFECT NAME FOR A PARANORMAL TEAM? NO JOKE!? What do you think would be the most perfect name for a paranormal team without joking? You might have to brainstorm a little but see if you can come up with a cool name. It does not just have to be a one word name it can be a series of name for EX. Supernatural Research Organization or maybe even The unexplained Detective Services. Something like that what can you think of?
My wife has suffered for years with what I now believe could be "Lyme disease". Any suggestions? Began talking to chief engineer aboard my tug who recently recovered from lyme. As he described his ordeal it was like he was telling me my wifes life story. She has been called the "mystery patient" due to her symptoms and unrespnsiveness to varied treatments. After doing some research last night I am now convinced that not only has my wife got lyme disease, but my youngest child as well. He suffered from unexplained sezuires, coughs, thirst, overactive bladder and rashes. 2 weeks ago I ramoved what I thought was a wood tic from my oldest while camping. Last night I find out it was a "lone star" female carrier. I live in NC and am looking for open minded specialist, as my wife now has a great distrust of doctors.
Dreams, future and other unexplained phenomenon? I am a blooming writer of the odd and unexplained. What I am about to share may or may not come with the territory, as writers and artists in general are known to be rather eccentric. Okay, at a young age I used to be a very 'Imaginative' child. My dreams are interesting in themselves. Of course I've had the dreams akin to normal children, but one interesting dream and a few 'real life' occurrences have hint at some underlying truth which even I raise an eye brow at. At 5 years old I used to have this recurring dream where I am walking down my hall way all alone, trying to find my other family members or just people in general. First, I venture into my parents room. It was all so vivid that I can even tell you the time on their clock radio; 3:15am. I ask where they are, then I come out and look in my brothers room, nobody is anywhere to be seen. Suddenly everything grows very black and I sense this wind or dragging noise behind me. Filled with terror I jump down the stairs trying to bet away. I don't run and everything slows down like in most dreams of this nature, rather I am running like what you would do in real life. I've had these dreams a few times growing up. I knew it was imperative that I escape and find someone, anyone. In the end I do get away but with a mocking call, "I will come back for you". Before my teenage years I received these sort of pictures in my head. One was of my brother lying in a coffin and the other was my mother in a hospital room. The walls were blue and she was dying of cancer. My father was of sound health. Then I grow up; friends, girl friends, school, yada, yada, yada, but it is when I'm in college in 2003 that I sensed something telling me things. I was with my girl friend at the time, broken up now, I sensed the words, "I've come back for you. Just like I said I would. Did you think I would forget? Now I am going to take everything you hold dear". I laughed at this and dismissed it as nothing; being grown up and logical. I mean we all think bad things. It is a part of human nature. Well in 2004 my next store neighbor, think of an exact duplicate of Judd from the movie (taken from his book of course" Stephen King's Pet Semetary. He was a character. Anyway, he died. Throughout the coming months two friends from church, like my next store neighbor, symbolized a lot to me, died unexpectedly. Then in October of 2004 my grandmother died unexpectedly while having surgery on her back. I wept, moved on, lived life. But in 2007 my brother was killed in a car accident (my vision??) I have never been the same since. Recently, 2009, my mother has been diagnosed with cancer. Though shes had surgery and it was successful, I still find it weird that everything matches up. However, it leaves the part where I am searching in my childhood home for anybody and being chased by whatever that was behind me in the dream. I know the dream itself is symbolic of something but in 2006 I was up in Richmond, VA visiting Hollywood Cemetery. Very interesting place. I suggest anyone who is in Richmond drop by the cemetery. Famous people are buried there. Anyway, it was a sunny afternoon and I was feeling adventurous. Stupid me, I didn't bother to ask for a map and ended up getting lost. But in that time I had this strange feeling as though the people in their graves 'knew' I was there. I sensed myself just walking around in this dream like state, the outside world slowly fading away. I sensed the people in their graves say to me, "Welcome, come with us. We do not get many visitors. I didn't freak out, no, I remained cool and focused on retracing my steps. I passed the James River. That is the river Edgar Allan Poe swam when he was a child. Beautiful river. See it when you get the chance. Anyway, soon a black dog crossed my path. Now I'm like, "What the F**k". I stayed cool yet again, didn't look at him in the eyes and walked away. He did the same, thankfully. Eventually I looked back. The dog stopped and looked back at me. I continued to move on and so did the dog. I stopped again, curiosity, and lost him in a patch of grave stones. But I kept my eyes open around the area I saw him enter. I had a good vantage point. Never saw it again. I researched black dogs. Not only are they a "Bad" omen but are said to stay near places where people come and go, like stair cases and cemeteries "Soul coming and going". It is there that they guard the line between the living and the dead and make sure that the living don't accidentally cross it and search the person out to make sure he or she is not a threat either. Now I still laugh off all of this. The dreams and everything. However, should I search all these strange 'happenings' out. I am an avid church goer so maybe that is why I don't believe in anything but god and the devil. Should I be worried?? Thank you for reading. I apologize for run on sentences and misspelled words but I am writing this in haste. Everybody enjoy their day.
Atheists...have any of you tried? ...doing your own research into the unexplained or paranormal. I'm not saying you need to do it, or that you must believe in God if you get something. I'm just wondering if any of you have done a simple investigation before you dismissed this completely. Most of you count on science for your answers so I thought a few of you might use technology for something like EVPs. And no, I haven't gone looking for pixies or fairies or leprechauns (wouldn't know how), but I do know how to record EVPs. EVPs are much harder to explain away than wind, or air pressure or reflections of light. Anyway, it's a simple process so I thought I'd ask. I you haven't, then I'd say you're not giving that type of thing it's due diligence. If you have, then you know you can set-up your own parameters for your research, thus negating anything "fake". I figured that's what scientific minded people would do. Your thoughts... Newly Dead - Hey numbnuts, get over yourself. I don't care if I change your perspective, I just ASKED if any of you had done a little research. Try laying off the roids, Sally. Question Everything - Obviously you question everything but research nothing. Way to work it out wise one. Kirby - Before you proclaim "EVPs are complete nonsense", shouldn't you try it yourself? But I'm sure you won't. That's the real problem...you dismiss without researching it yourself. BTW, there' tons of EVP out there. Stop being so lazy. Jeez.
Do you believe Ouija Boards Fake? I've always been in to that paranormal-unexplained thing and I saw a Ouija board at a party the other day. After all the stories I've read I have to admit I was a little freaked and my 2 friends used it and asked a question while I watched. It was very slow but we did eventually get an answer. When I got home I did some research. I found plenty of things that said nervous energy and sub conscience movements are what does it, not Spirits or anything. Is this proven? Do you believe it?
Can anyone explain the following near death experience or has anyone experienced something similar? my dad, who is sceptic of all the unexplained, is a detectorist finds a coin dated 33AD in a cemetry near our home (land was being prepared)The cemetry is on the grounds of an old Roman fort. The coin is Roman but should not have been in the area at this time, but the coin had been in a fire. Recently my dad was troubled by a recurring dream, where there appears to be a man,a small child and a dark figure. The child has a birth mark on her hand and six fingers. He thinks at first its some kind of family message. So with some research finds a family connection. One evening his legs no explanation are walking with a purpose of being forced,he has no control of them. He is taken to the cemetry, he thinks aliens and closes his eyes. On opening he is in the same place but no longer any grave stones. Some very strange things happen the pains in his chest and explanations make me believe he passed over briefly.with him is the man Cateus& daughter Igea and Bran the Druid king. part one
Who agrees that evolution is just a theory? We did not come from monkeys. My degree was science/chemistry. Some scientist believe this junk theology...but many do not! It's a theory....in other words...an idea which has never been proven or disproven...therefore it remains a theory. Now a few examples of why I do not believe this theory: Any animal that has evolved does not remain....yet the monkey is still with us...the average day monkey has not evolved into a man! I believe many animals have adapted to their environment and thus their features change to meet their surrounding needs...thus adaptation! However, to evolve into something totally more advance such as monkey into man would mean that the monkey would no longer exist because man would take his place...why does the monkey still exist???? The same can be said for apes and all other animals someone could possibly say man evolved from! Why do they all still exist today? Charles Darwin was a very smart man. His adaptation theory is quite genius and his studies were revolutionary and also opened the eyes of the scientific community...however his evolution theory lacks common sense from such a pioneer! Even if you disagree with the above...how do you explain how any life began on earth? Life cannot just spring up...and Mathematically, it is inconceivable that anything as complex as a protein, let alone a living cell or a human, could spring up by chance. Consider the following: Nobody has ever seen a new species evolve. Evolutionists cannot point to any transitional fossils--creatures that are half reptile and half bird, for instance. Where are all the transitional species. Really there should be a continuous line of transitional species, in the order of 1000's of times more numerous than obviously distinct species, and yet we have a clumps of very distinct species. And no transitional forms.... Recent discoveries prove that even at the microscopic level, life has a quality of complexity that could not have come about through evolution. Evolution is only a theory. It is not a fact or a scientific law. 1st law of thermodynamics states the energy(in this case life) cannot be created or destroyed! In other words life cannot just form...some form of energy must have been present! This is not a theory, it's a law. Law of biogenesis. People once believed that maggots were spontaneously generated from the flesh of dead animals. They thought life could come from non-life. Louis Pasteur proved beyond doubt that life cannot arise from non-life. This is not a scientific theory, but a law. Proponents of evolution contend that life did arise spontaneously from non-life at least once in the past, in other words, that this particular natural law was broken or nonexistent sometime in the past. Again this cannot happen as energy cannot be created or destroyed!!! Darwin himself wrote:If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down. Darwin wrote:To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree. The ability to fly supposedly evolved spontaneously by chance at least four times: for insects, birds, mammals (bats) and reptiles. Yet intelligent man did not figure out the principles of flight until the past century. Many of what Darwin considered to be transitional species have been discredited. Even Archaeopteryx, once thought to be transitional between reptiles and birds, is not. Modern birds have been found deeper in the fossil record. For the most part nature's divisions are not blurred and indistinct, currently or in the fossil record. The phyla appear in the fossil record almost instantaneously in what is known as the Cambrian explosion, with no apparent connections. Evolution teaches that fish evolved from lower animals. How did they get fins? No evolutionist claims that fins came in one generation, but rather in many generations. In other words, the development of fins was a GRADUAL development. And from where did birds get their wings? No evolutionist claims that wings came in one generation, but rather in many generations. They claim that the development of wings was through a very slow, gradual process. Now when the process, let us say, was half way complete, the "fin" or the "wing," as the case may be, would be useless — good for nothing — for a fish cannot swim with a part-fin nor can a bird fly with a part-wing! A part-fin or a part-wing, would be a monstrosity, not a perfect adaptation such as we see everywhere in nature. NOWHERE IN THE WORLD TODAY CAN ONE FIND PARTLY DEVELOPED APPENDAGES OR ORGANS, but, rather, everywhere there is perfect adaptation, perfect development for its intended purpose. That fact proves that EACH CREATURE, IN ALL ESSENTIAL FEATURES, HAS BEEN EXACTLY AS IT IS NOW, and was so created in the beginning. Hugo de Vries aptly said, "Natural selection may explain the survival of the fittest, but it cannot explain the arrival of the fittest." Science has proven that chaos does not naturally and normally turn into order. Life can only come from life (law of biogenesis). Things dont improve naturally as a matter of course (entropy). Things improve because of intelligent input. For example, the technology we enjoy in the present age is a result of human intelligence, not random chance. Science has given us a great deal, but not everything that exists can be explained scientifically. Prof. Fleischman, modern zoologist of Erlangen after repudiating Darwinism, said, "The Darwinian theory of descent has not a single fact to confirm it in the realm of nature. It is not the result of scientific research, but purely the product of imagination." Dr. Clark (recognized as one of the world's greatest biologists) was biologist of the United States National Museum, he stated bluntly that Darwin, Lamarck and all their followers were wrong "on almost all vital points." "So far as concerns the major groups of animals, the creationists seem to have the better of the argument. There is not the slightest evidence that any of the major groups, arose from any other. Each is a special animal-complex. . . .Appearing as a distinct creation." Prof. T. H. Morgan said, "Within the period of human history we do not know of a single instance of the transformation of one species into another." (p. 43. "Evolution and Adaptation;" McMillan, 1903). Another thought: If there is not supreme being that created heaven and earth and all creatures, then explain how the Earth and world is so organized and designed for life? How did our planet adapt to us???? If the oxygen mixture were more than it is we would die...proof of this is hospitals in earlier years were giving a little too much to preemie babies....they died! In the rest of the universe both WATER and OXYGEN are very scarce; in fact, hydrogen and helium make up 99% of all matter in the universe, yet our earth is designed for life...unexplained or superior design???? There are scores of other "laws" in the universe that are perfect and necessary to make up this vast universe. All students of astronomy are familiar with Kepler's three laws of planetary motion. There are "laws" of motion, laws of heat, laws of light, laws of sound — and all are PERFECT, never-changing, never-failing. Rear Admiral D. V. Gallery (USN; writing in the Saturday Evening Post), said, "The stars. . . .in their orbits and velocities through the heavens faithfully obey a great code of LAW. Earth's scientists can quote and explain this code in great detail, until you ask, "Where came these laws?" Edwin B. Frost, at one time astronomer with the Yerkes Observatory, wrote: "Everything that we learn from the observational point of view in the study of astronomy seems to me to point precisely and always toward a purposeful operation in nature. . . . "I cannot imagine planets getting together and deciding under what law they should operate. NOR DO WE FIND ANYWHERE IN THE SOLAR OR STELLAR SYSTEM THE DEBRIS THAT WOULD NECESSARILY ACCUMULATE IF THE UNIVERSE HAD BEEN OPERATING AT RANDOM. . . . Proof that the Universe had a Beginning "to assume that the universe had no beginning . . . fails to account for the CONTINUED EXISTENCE OF RADIOACTIVITY." (Scientific American). Animals breathe oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide; green plants (in sunlight) take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. Without plants in the world the time would soon come when all animals and all men would use up the available oxygen in the air and would perish." * Who designed such a complex system??? * "Give the plants a free hand and the water would in time become so alkaline as to destroy them. Give the animals a free hand and they, in the end, would be killed by the acidity they themselves produced; but the two working against one another insure the maintenance of conditions vital to both. All life is like that: a thousand interacting and balanced forces, like the flying buttresses of a towering Gothic Cathedral; destroy one and the whole graceful fabric comes down in irreparable ruin." (Creation's Amazing Architect). Flowers supply bees with nectar; bees in turn transfer pollen from one flower to another, thus preserving the life of the species. HMMMM??? These species formed a treaty all on their own?????? Is this their own plan or of a superior design? IF THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WERE INCREASED, THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT WOULD SOON BE RUINED BY MOLDS! Who keeps these in check???? By chance they sustain??? Not probable!!! The atmosphere gives us a protective covering from the harmful effects of the ultra-violet rays from the sun. Dr. Florence E. Miller, scientist connected with the Smithsonian Institute, says that we live "miraculously" on this planet, protected from eight "killer rays" from the sun, by a thin layer of ozone high up in our atmosphere. "If that little belt of ozone, approximately forty miles up and only one-eighth of an inch thick (if compressed), should suddenly drift into space, all life on earth would perish." The whole subject of "ozone" in the air is so unusual, it seems almost incredible. "There are two kinds of ultra-violet rays — long and short. The long are deadly, and are absorbed and neutralized by that ozone belt. If permitted to come through, they would blnd and blister the human race, and would soon destroy all life on earth. The short violet rays, on the other hand, are necessary to life. If that belt of protective ozone were too thick, so that the short rays could not come through, we would all die of rickets. "the most deadly of the 'eight killers' comes through in quantities just sufficient to render great service, without destroying us. It keeps down the growth of green algae, one-celled plants that grow in streams. Unrestricted, they would multiply so rapidly that they would clog all the streams of the world, and lead to endless flooding of the world. On the other hand, it is fortunate for the earth as we know it that the algae were allowed to develop in moderation." The earth is just THE RIGHT DISTANCE from the sun, relative to the amount of heat and light the sun pours into space. If the earth were much closer, it would be too hot; If it were much farther away, it would be too cold. Dr. William J. Humphreys, formerly with the United States weather bureau told the American Meteorological Society that if the average temperature of the earth were raised but two or three degrees "you could bid goodbye to all the big cities of the earth," Blind evolution is helpless to produce such endless intricacies of design and adaptation. Why - how -could chance evolution, by "random changes," produce an intricate, living, workable mechanism like the examples described above? Our world was designed for us to live in...everything designed for a reason. The food chain for example is a complex design of energy passed on...who designed such a plan??? reproduction of new life is complex! Who designed such this plan? All things organic and non organic were designed and have specific function in the universe! These did not randomly decide to do their part...it was a superior design created by a higher being! We did not come from monkeys. My degree was science/chemistry. Some scientist believe this junk theology...but many do not! It's a theory....in other words...an idea which has never been proven or disproven...therefore it remains a theory. Do You Have any Haunted Lore and/or Scarey Tales of the South - preferrably NC? Hi, I'm going to be developing a website dedicated to paranormal research for a college web design class, but on the lighter side would like to post ghost stories of popular legends of the South. Alternatively, if you have a personal story and are good at story-telling, I'd like to hear it and maybe use it on my page. Feel free to post any additional questions. Additionally, if you live in the Sandhills of NC (Sanford, Pinehurt, Fayetteville region) and have "unexplained activity" I invite you to contact me for possible inclusion under the investigations section of my page. Thanks in advance!
was there a mistake with my friend's prescription? my friend was having unexplained vaginal bleeding and went to the doctor today for it. they prescribed her MEDROXYPROGESTERONE and she has to go back for an ultrasound later this week. i've been reading about it and came across "USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding"--which is what brought my friend to the doctor in the first place. has anyone been through this? can someone offer me proper medical advice? its not that i dont trust doctors, i just like to do a little research of my own
what is barmuda triangle and where it is situated? is it mistry of this world http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl The Bermuda Triangle (also known as Devil's Triangle) is a nearly half-million square-mile (1.2 million km2) area of ocean roughly defined by Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and the southernmost tip of Florida. The Bermuda Triangle has become popular through representation by the mass media, in which it is a paranormal site in which the known laws of physics are either violated, altered, or both. http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl While there is a common belief that a number of ships and airplanes have disappeared under highly unusual circumstances in this region, the United States Coast Guard and others disagree with that assessment, citing statistics demonstrating that the number of incidents involving lost ships and aircraft is no larger than that of any other heavily traveled region of the world. Many of the alleged mysteries have proven not so mysterious or unusual upon close examination, with inaccuracies and misinformation about the cases often circulating and recirculating over the decades. http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl The triangle is an arbitrary shape, crudely marking out a corridor of the Atlantic, stretching northward from the West Indies, along the North American seaboard, as far as the Carolinas. In the Age of Sail, ships returning to Europe from parts south would sail north to the Carolinas, then turn east for Europe, taking advantage of the prevailing wind direction across the North Atlantic. Even with the development of steam and internal-combustion engines, a great deal more shipping traffic was (and still is) found nearer the US coastline than towards the empty centre of the Atlantic. The Triangle also loosely conforms with the course of the Gulf Stream as it leaves the West Indies, and has always been an area of volatile weather. The combination of distinctly heavy maritime traffic and tempestuous weather meant that a certain, also distinctly large, number of vessels would flounder in storms. Given the historical limitations of communications technology, most of those ships that sank without survivors would disappear without a trace. The advent of wireless communications, radar, and satellite navigation meant that the unexplained disappearances largely ceased at some point in the 20th Century. The occasional vessel still sinks, but rarely without a trace. It should be noted that both the concept and the name of the Bermuda Triangle date only to the 1960s, and were the products of an American journalist. http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl Other areas often purported to possess unusual characteristics are the Devil's Sea, located near Japan, and the Marysburgh Vortex or the Great Lakes Triangle, located in eastern Lake Ontario. Map of the popularly-held dimensions of the Bermuda Triangle; recent claims by researchers alude to a more "trapezium" shape, extending back into the Gulf of Mexico and down into the Caribbean Sea.Contents History The cover of the 1977 Panther paperback edition of Berlitz's The Bermuda Triangle First citations The first mention of disappearances in the area was made in 1950 by E.V.W. Jones as a sidebar on the Associated Press wire service regarding recent ship losses. Jones' article notes the "mysterious disappearances" of ships, airplanes and small boats in the region, and ascribes it the name "The Devil's Triangle". It was next mentioned in 1952 in a Fate Magazine article by George X. Sand, who outlined several "strange marine disappearances". The term "Bermuda Triangle" was popularized by Vincent Gaddis in a 1964 Argosy feature. http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl Popularized by Berlitz The area achieved its current fame largely through the efforts of Charles Berlitz in his 1974 book The Bermuda Triangle (right) and its subsequent film adaptation. The book recounts a long series of mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft, in particular the December 1945 loss of five U.S. Navy Avenger torpedo bombers in the infamous Flight 19 incident. The book was a bestseller and included several theories about the cause of the disappearances, including accidents due to high traffic volumes; natural storms; "temporal holes"; the lost empire of Atlantis; transportation by extraterrestrial technology; and other natural or supernatural causes. Skeptical responses The marine insurer Lloyd's of London has determined the "triangle" to be no more dangerous than any other area of ocean, and does not charge unusual rates for passage through the region. Coast Guard records confirm their conclusion. http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl Skeptics comment that the disappearance of a train between two stops would be more convincing evidence of paranormal activity, and the fact that such things do not occur suggests that paranormal explanations are not needed for the disappearance of ships and airplanes in the far less predictable open ocean. http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl Kusche's research Intrigued by the number of students coming to him looking for information about the Bermuda Triangle, Lawrence Kusche, a reference librarian with Arizona State University at the time of the Flight 19 incident, began an exhaustive follow-up investigation of the original reports. His findings were eventually published in 1975 as The Bermuda Triangle Mystery: Solved. http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl Kusche's research revealed a number of inaccuracies and inconsistencies between Berlitz's accounts and statements from eyewitnesses, participants and others involved in the initial incidents. He noted cases where pertinent information went unreported, such as the disappearance of round-the-world yachtsman Donald Crowhurst which Berlitz had presented as a mystery, despite clear evidence that Crowhurst had fabricated the accounts of his voyage and had probably committed suicide. Another example was the ore-carrier Berlitz recounted as lost without trace three days out of an Atlantic port when it had been lost three days out of a port with the same name in the Pacific Ocean. Kusche also argued that a large percentage of the incidents attributed to the Bermuda Triangle's mysterious influence actually occurred well outside it. Kusche came to several conclusions: The number of ships and airplanes reported missing in the area was not significantly greater, proportionally speaking, than any other part of the ocean. In an area frequented by tropical storms, the number of disappearances that did occur was neither disproportionate, unlikely, nor mysterious. The numbers themselves had been exaggerated by sloppy research. A boat listed as missing would be reported, but not necessarily its eventual, if belated, return to port. The circumstances of confirmed disappearances were frequently misreported in Berlitz's accounts. The numbers of ships disappearing in supposedly calm weather, for instance, did not tally with weather reports published at the time. Methane hydrates Main article: Methane clathrate An explanation for some of the disappearances focuses on the presence of vast fields of methane hydrates on the continental shelves. A paper was published in 1981 by the United States Geological Survey about the appearance of hydrates in the Blake Ridge area, off the southeastern United States coast. Periodic methane eruptions may produce regions of frothy water that are no longer capable of providing adequate buoyancy for ships. If this were the case, such an area forming around a ship could cause it to sink very rapidly and without warning. Laboratory experiments have proven that bubbles can, indeed, sink a scale model ship by decreasing the density of the water. Hypothetically, methane gas might also be involved in airplane crashes, as it is not as dense as normal air and thus would not generate the amount of lift required to keep the airplane flying. Methane can cut out an aircraft engine with very little levels of it in the atmosphere. Tidal waves Main article: Freak wave Research has shown that tidal, freak, or rogue waves can reach up to 30 m (100 feet) in height and are capable of sinking large ships within moments. Although these are very rare, in some areas ocean currents mean they happen more often than the normal. Such waves have now been hypothesized as a cause for many unexplained shipping losses over the years. Some research suggests that some of these waves are caused by giant bubbles of methane rising to the surface. These giant bubbles are created when methane vents at the ocean bottom become clogged; then pressure builds up and eventually the gas bursts out and rises rapidly to the surface thus generating the wave. Research has shown that such bubbles are able to sink scale sized ships with great ease and speed. Famous incidents Flight 19 Main article: Flight 19 One of the known Bermuda Triangle incidents concerns the loss of Flight 19, a squadron of five U.S. Navy TBM Avenger torpedo bombers on a training flight out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 5, 1945. According to Berlitz, the flight consisted of expert Marine Corps aviators who, after reporting a number of odd visual effects, simply disappeared, an account which isn't entirely true. Furthermore, Berlitz claims that because the TBM Avenger bombers were built to float for long periods, they should have been found the next day considering what were reported as calm seas and a clear sky. However, not only were they never found, a Navy search and rescue seaplane that went after them was also lost. Adding to the intrigue is that the Navy's report of the accident was ascribed to "causes or reasons unknown". While the basic facts of Berlitz's version of the story are essentially accurate, some important details are missing. The image of a squadron of seasoned combat aviators disappearing on a sunny afternoon is inaccurate. Rather, it was a squadron of lost, inexperienced flight trainees forced to ditch their out-of-fuel airplanes into unknown stormy waters in the dark of night. As for the Navy's report, it is claimed that the original report blamed the accident on the commander's confusion (Lt. Taylor abandoned his airplanes twice in the Pacific after getting lost returning to his carrier), but the wording was changed in deference to the wishes of his family. Another factor to consider is that the TBM Avenger Aircraft were never designed for crash-landing into water. Wartime experience in the Pacific showed that an Avenger aircraft would sink very quickly if landed on the water. Especially with novice pilots at the helm - an Avenger would be very difficult to land on calm water - let alone the perilous rough seas in the Bermuda Triangle. Star Tiger If the disappearance of Flight 19 had been an isolated incident, it would have remained one of the great mysteries of modern aviation. However, aircraft disappearances continued to be reported near the same location, some accompanied by equally extended and confusing radio traffic, including that of a four-engine Tudor IV airliner named Star Tiger, in the predawn hours of January 31, 1948. Piloted by Captain B. W. McMillan, the airliner, which carried twenty-nine passengers and crew on board, had left hours earlier from Santa Maria, Azores, one of numerous scheduled fuel stopover points on its route from London, England to Havana, Cuba. While approaching Bermuda, McMillan made the expected contact with Kindley Field, the next stopover, requesting a radio bearing to calibrate his navigation systems and ensure he remained on course. With the response indicating that the plane was slightly off course, its position was corrected after Bermuda relayed a first-class bearing of 72 degrees from the island. At this point, with Star Tiger less than two hours flight away, McMillan gave confirmation of an ETA of 05:00 hours, an hour late due to strong headwinds; no further transmission from the aircraft was ever received. Armed with precise reports of the plane's last known position, rescue operations were launched after the craft was determined overdue for arrival; but no trace of the aircraft was ever found. In the report issued soon thereafter by the Civil Air Ministry, numerous hypotheses as to what might have occurred during the flight's final two hours are given, before each being subsequently rejected: "There would accordingly be no grounds for supposing that Star Tiger fell into the sea in consequence of having been deprived of her radio, having failed to find her destination, and having exhausted her fuel." "There is good reason to suppose that no distress message was transmitted from the aircraft, for there were many radio receiving stations listening on the aircraft's frequencies, and none reported such a message." "...The weather was stable, there were no atmospheric disturbances of a serious kind which might cause structural damage to the aircraft, and there were no electrical storms." It was ruled that the aircraft could not have gone off course, as the broadcast bearing from Bermuda, with winds prevailing, would have brought it within thirty miles of the island: "The aircraft could hardly have failed to find the island in a short time, in the conditions of visibility which prevailed." Engine difficulty was ruled out as a likely cause, since at such late stage in the flight, without the added weight of extra fuel aboard, the aircraft might have been flown safely on three, or even two, engines instead of the four it had. The probability of the aircraft entirely losing three engines in the course of under two hours was considered absurd. Faced with the accumulation of evidence, or perhaps lack thereof, the board of investigation addressed the loss of the Star Tiger with remarked eloquence: "In closing this report it may truly be said that no more baffling problem has ever been presented for investigation. In the complete absence of any reliable evidence as to either the nature or the cause of the accident of Star Tiger the Court has not been able to do more than suggest possibilities, none of which reaches the level even of probability. Into all activities which involve the co-operation of man and machine two elements enter of a very diverse chaarcter [sic?]. There is an incalculable element of the human equation dependent upon imperfectly known factors; and there is the mechanical element subject to quite different laws. A breakdown may occur in either separately or in both in conjunction. Or some external cause may overwhelm both man and machine. What happened in this case will never be known and the fate of Star Tiger must remain an unsolved mystery." 2 years ago http://miss-aishwaryarai.page.tl
Has anyone had any odd experiences that they just cant understand. I dont mean ghosts but..................? There are lots of recorded sightings of demons saying or doing things, big black things that people have encountered, unexplained lights, noises, things moving by themselves. Toilet rolls unravelling when there was no wind. Voices, whisperings, smells, scents, odours, screams in the night or day , shadows. We put them down to ghosts but the things I am talking about are odd things that are not specific. People walk away from an experience thinking " Need to stop drinking" only to realise they have not been............................................... Anyone out there want to share an odd experience. I am asking because I want to do some research on the odd and unexplained.
could this be a stomach ulcer? -frequent belching -stomach growling (but not hunger) -full feeling in my stomach -some heartburn -unexplained weight loss i have researched and it seems to be either stomach ulcers or some kind of acid reflux but im not sure has anyone else experienced this, if so wut did it turn out to be?!? im only 20 and it seems im to young to have these problems.
anyone can help me to choose? i am a graduate biology student, thinking to further my postgraduate study. i really interested doing research in human genetics. i get one, "subtelomeric rearangement chromosome in unexplained mental retardation in children". but, my lab is incomplete. i've to wait my supervisor to get some money to buy the equipment. i get another choice. doing coursework in plant genetics. i just thinking human genetics is more interesting than plant genetics. huhh...
Okay put your thinking caps on for a moment........Lets Talk finance? Okay Say for instance, You are working in the finance department of an Information Technology company. Recently, there has been an unexplained increase in employee back injuries that have left several employees unable to work for varying amounts of time. The Department of Labor and Industries is threatening to increase your employer costs substantially unless this trend can be reversed. What if the the Vice-President of Finance asks you to conduct action research into this issue. As an insider, what will be your focus and how will you conduct this research?
Can you please tell me as much as you can about the Tanya? I know it may be a long-shot that anyone on-line will know, but I've had some unexplained experiences and this word came-up and I am more than interested but it is difficult to research. Feel free to e-mail me to escape cynicism and any other reason you may not want to share in this forum. I have started listening to some broadcasts though I do not speak the language. I am a Gentile so elementary explanation is necessary. Thank you!
read these comments of einstein about hinduism all u misinformed people and then comment on hinduism? January/February/March, 2004 PHILOSOPHY Einstein's Religious Theses -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Comparing the famous physicist's concepts of God and soul to Hindu beliefs By Mark Hawthorne, California Many people, mostly theologians, have accused Einstein of being an atheist; such a scientist, say his detractors, could hardly be religious. Einstein's view of religion did not include a personal God, which in the first half of the twentieth century was tantamount to saying he was atheistic. But no atheist spent so much time, and put so much thought, into celebrating God. And perhaps no physicist ever considered so deeply the link between science and religion. When asked how he accounted for being both a scientist and a man known for religious musings, Einstein replied: "Well, I do not think that it is necessarily the case that science and religion are natural opposites. In fact, I think that there is a very close connection between the two. Further, I think that science without religion is lame and, conversely, that religion without science is blind. Both are important and should work hand-in-hand. It seems to me that whoever doesn't wonder about the truth in religion and in science might as well be dead." Then there are the theological issues raised by Einstein's scientific discoveries. For example, Hindu philosophers have frequently suggested that Einstein's famed equation, E=mc2 (that mass and energy are different manifestations of the same thing), is remarkably parallel to certain concepts in Hindu philosophy. Other aspects of his work, such as the mutability of time, have intriguing parallels in the philosophies of India. At the request of Hinduism Today who gave me the assignment despite my lack of philosophical credentials I ventured into the fascinating world of Albert Einstein's religious beliefs and the theological consequences of his scientific discoveries. Born to Jewish parents in Germany in 1879, Albert Einstein's first education was at a strict Catholic school in Munich, where order and discipline were instilled in the students. The experience left him with a lifelong disdain of regimentation and a distrust of authority figures. Apparently to balance the Catholicism Albert was learning in primary school, his parents hired a distant relative to tutor him in the fundamentals of Judaism. These studies sparked a spiritual interest in young Albert, who began preparing for his bar mitzvah, the religious rite Jewish boys undergo when turning 13. He eagerly read the scriptures of his faith and even gave up eating pork. While other boys were dreaming of becoming soldiers and going to war, Einstein abhorred the thought of being in the military. "When I grow up, I don't want to be one of those poor people, " he told his parents. He would remain a devout pacifist throughout his life. He spent a lot of time deep in thought, and he credited his trait of profoundly wondering about things with helping him in his scientific endeavors. Einstein even believed his childlike curiosity, allowing him to think without boundaries, set the stage for his discovery of the relativity theory as an adult. Einstein maintained a deep interest in his Jewish studies until a family friend lent him several books on natural science. Suddenly, he viewed the world through an empirical lens. He wrote in his autobiography: "Through the reading of popular scientific books, I soon reached the conviction that a lot in the Bible stories could not be true. The result was downright fanatical freethinking, combined with the impression that young people were being lied to by the state: it was a shattering discovery." Einstein turned his back on organized religion and refused to take his bar mitzvah; he was, therefore, not a proper member of the Jewish community something that might have later become an issue had he taken up Israel's 1952 offer to be the country's second president. The young Einstein soon focused his attention on geometry, finding in Euclid's axiomatic-deductive method a clarity and certainty that he had not found in the Torah and Talmud of his Jewish instructions. From higher mathematics it was only a short and logical step to the world of philosophical thought. With an analytical mind and a passion for deep thinking, he was equal to the task of absorbing Immanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, a complex work addressing issues of human existence. The influence of Spinoza Einstein most admired the seventeenth-century Dutch philosopher Baruch Spinoza, whose writings he had discovered in his twenties. In Spinoza he found a kindred spirit. Both were solitary, pensive Jews who were eventually alienated by their religious heritage. Einstein was especially impressed by Spinoza's major work, Ethics, in which the philosopher uses Euclidean geometry to prove the validity of ethical ideas. Spinoza argued that "God, or substance, consisting of infinite attributes, of which each expresses eternal and infinite essentiality, necessarily exists." According to Spinoza, infinite substance is indivisible. "God is One, hence, in the nature of things, only one substance is given, " Spinoza wrote in Ethics. Philosophically, his position that whatever exists is a part of a single substance is called, in Western philosophy, "monism." A similar concept exists within many forms of Hindu philosophy. Spinoza believed in a form of pantheism, from the Greek pan and theos, meaning "everything is God." Adherence to monism specifically, his belief in pantheism has parallels with the tenets of several Hindu systems of thought, including Advaita Vedanta. The common scientific view is that there is nothing but the physical universe that we can see and measure with our instruments. What separates Spinoza, and later Einstein, from this is two-fold. One, that "what exists " likely extends far beyond our human ability to perceive and analyze it, and two, that "what exists " is divine, Godly and not inert matter. Some place Spinoza's philosophy under the heading of modified pantheism, in which God is believed to be the reality behind nature. In this way his philosophy differs from Sankara's Advaita Vedanta, in which Brahman alone is reality and all else is illusion. In his Dictionary of Philosophy and Religion, William Reese calls Advaita Vedanta "Acosmic Pantheism, " the belief that God is in and beyond the manifest world, which does not enjoy true existence. But Spinoza's view is similar to the view of Saiva Siddhanta and several others systems that the universe is the body and mind of God, while at the same time God transcends the universe. It's a difficult task to compare these Western and Eastern philosophies, not only because they use different terminology, but because the Western philosophies are generally reasoned out, while the Eastern philosophies rely more upon meditative experience and insight. One also has to keep in mind that from the 17th century onward, in Europe and America, Western religion was under full-scale attack from the emerging philosophy and discoveries of science. The relationship between science and religion in the West remains largely hostile. Not so in the East. Spinoza's views on religion therefore provided something of a way around the hostilities, and they validated ideas that were already germinating in Einstein's mind. "I am fascinated by Spinoza's pantheism, " he said, "but admire even more his contribution to modern thought, because he is the first philosopher to deal with the soul and body as one, and not two separate things." Einstein viewed the human being as a single unit, and scoffed at the idea of a soul which transcended death. "I am not an atheist." Einstein's ideas on spirituality enjoyed some influence due to his revolutionary work in physics. Some theologians felt threatened by his scientific theories, and Einstein was frequently asked to contribute articles about religion, perhaps in part to demonstrate he was not an atheist attempting to disprove the existence of God or to demonstrate he was, since both sides interpreted Einstein's ideas to suit their own agenda. These articles, interviews and essays are some of the best evidence we have of Einstein's philosophy. One, titled "Science and Religion, " presented at the 1940 Conference on Science, Philosophy and Religion in New York, became the center of controversy. "A person who is religiously enlightened, " he wrote, "appears to me to be one who has, to the best of his ability, liberated himself from the fetters of his selfish desires and is preoccupied with thoughts, feelings and aspirations to which he clings because of their superpersonal value." He then went on to define religion as "the age-old endeavor of mankind to become clearly and completely conscious of these values and goals and constantly to strengthen and extend their effect." Einstein concluded his paper with a statement about the conflict between science and religion, which he believed has its root in the concept of a personal God. Theologians attending the conference were in an uproar, misinterpreting Einstein's statement as a denial of God. He was asked straight out if he believed in God, and he replied: "I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings." One faction took this to mean Einstein was a believer in God as they understood God. An opposing camp said Einstein's believing in Spinoza's nonpersonal God was the same as believing in no God at all. In an attempt to define why and in what way he was "religious, " Einstein said, "Try and penetrate with our limited means the secrets of nature and you will find that, behind all the discernible concatenations, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable. Veneration for this force beyond anything that we can comprehend is my religion. To that extent I am, in point of fact, religious." One person asked Einstein to define God. He replied in this fashion: "I'm not an atheist, and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books, but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws, but only dimly understand these laws. Our limited mind grasps the mysterious force that moves the constellations." Einstein was blunt in his rejection of the central tenets of Western religion. "I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, " he said, "or has a will of the kind that we experience in ourselves. Neither can I, nor would I want to, conceive of an individual that survives his physical death; let feeble souls, from fear or absurd egoism, cherish such thoughts. I am satisfied with the mystery of the eternity of life and with the awareness and a glimpse of the marvelous structure of the existing world, together with the devoted striving to comprehend a portion, be it ever so tiny, of the Reason that manifests itself in nature." An unusual aspect of Einstein's beliefs, again following Spinoza, was in "determinism, " the position that every event or occurrence is determined, that is, could not have happened other than it did. For Spinoza, the feeling of being free is simply the state of ignorance concerning the cause. Einstein's belief in determinism was in part behind his lack of acceptance of quantum mechanics, which held one could not deduce the future state of the universe from the present one. He famously said, "God does not play dice with the universe." However, despite his best efforts, he could not disprove quantum mechanics. The "cosmic religion " Einstein summarized his philosophy in what he termed the "cosmic religion, " which is characterized by a feeling of awe and an experience of the mysterious that he declared to be the source of his religiosity. In this experience, God does not punish or reward. Although his cosmic religion does not include a personal God (i.e., Ishvara), which he believed was devised due to fear of the unexplained, Einstein believed, "The religious geniuses of all ages have been distinguished by this kind of religious feeling, which knows no dogma and no God conceived in man's image; so that there can be no church whose central teachings are based on it." At this point, for Einstein, religion and science meet, for the cosmic religious experience "is the strongest and noblest driving force behind scientific research." In response to a question about whether or not modern science can offer spiritual insights where organized religion has failed, Einstein said, "Speaking of the spirit that informs modern scientific investigations, I am of the opinion that all the finer speculations in the realm of science spring from deep religious feeling, and that without such feeling they would not be fruitful. I also believe that this kind of religiousness, which makes itself felt today in scientific investigations is the only creative religious activity of our time." Einstein said that science cannot teach men the importance of ethics and morality, for the simple reason that science deals with what is, and ethics with what should be. Meeting Tagore Among the most famous Einstein dialogues took place in 1930, when Rabindranath Tagore visited him in Germany. Einstein reserved the highest admiration for Tagore, as well as Mahatma Gandhi, and they, in turn, regarded him with esteem. They were united in their concern for the poor and the state of the human condition. Tagore and Einstein shared a love of music and the belief that religion is not found in rituals and tradition. But the poet and the physicist disagreed on at least one point. When Einstein said he agreed with Tagore's concept that beauty is inseparable from man, but that he did not agree that the same held true for truth, Tagore asked, "Why not? Truth is realized through man." After a long pause, Einstein replied simply, "I cannot prove that my conception is right, but that is my religion." Tagore finally declared, "If there be some truth which has no sensuous or rational relation to the human mind, it will ever remain as nothing so long as we remain human beings." To this Einstein replied, "Then I am more religious than you are!" Relativity in the light of Vedanta In Einstein's theory of relativity, E=mc2, he postulates that mass is equivalent to energy. Both space and time, deduced Einstein, are no longer absolutes. Consider his theory in light of the Vedanta system of Hindu philosophy. All matter throughout the universe is the outcome of one primal matter called akasha. Moreover, all force, whether gravitational or electromagnetic, is the outcome of one cosmic energy called prana. Prana acting on akasha is creating or projecting the universe. Einstein had thus proven mathematically what Vedantists had known for years. Some theologians have taken the theory of relativity one step further, speculating that Einstein's mass-energy equivalence also accounts for energy and matter as true functions of each other. A God of pure energy could thus become an avatar a doctrine held by some Hindus, Tibetan Buddhists and Christians. Relativity may also be explored in terms of the system of 36 tattvas, or categories of existence, common to several systems of Hindu philosophy. These begin with shuddha maya, pure spiritual energy, the first evolutes, emanations or creations out of God. The first five tattvas are forms of consciousness, while the next seven are forms of spiritual-magnetic energy, including time (number 7, kala tattva). The final 24 consist of magnetic-gross energy, and include the mental faculties, organs of perception and action and finally the elements ether, air, fire, water and earth. The system of tattvas also regards matter as a form of energy. The major difference is that Einstein did not appear to speak in terms of consciousness as Hindus do, and his religious concepts seemed for the most part to deal with physical reality and not these higher realms of knowing or the subtle worlds spoken of in the Vedas. The search for a unified field theory In 1933, Einstein renounced his German citizenship and accepted a position in the United States at the new Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. He spent the rest of his life as an American citizen in Princeton with his wife, Elsa. They lived in a simple house, and most mornings he walked a mile or so to the Institute to work on his unified field theory. He was attempting to link all known phenomena to explain the nature and behavior of all matter and energy in existence, work that caused some excitement among nonscientists then and now. Paramahansa Yogananada praised the physicist in his 1946 autobiography. "Reducing the cosmical structure to variations on a single law, " Yogananada wrote, "Einstein has reached across the ages to the rishis who proclaimed a sole fabric of creation: a protean maya." More recently, Eknath Easwaran wrote in his commentary on the Bhagavad Gita that Einstein's quest is a theme found in Hinduism: "One of the most fervent hopes of Einstein was to find an overriding law of nature in which all laws of matter and energy would be unified. This is the driving question in some of the ancient Hindu scriptures, too. Mundaka Upanishad 1.1.3 asks, 'What is That by knowing which all other things may be known?' " Einstein's search for proof of a unified field eluded him his entire life, although his perception of existence seemed as clear to him as it was to the rishis. He wrote, "A human being is a part of the whole, called by us 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Absolute Zero, have we made any headway? In chemistry today we were just studying how to average multiple temperature samples in K and *C, but briefly hit on the topic of absolute 0, because some kid asked what it was. I am very knowledgable and am into the unexplained, So i know supposedly at absolute 0, all particle motion haults (which is scary). The teacher said that there would be bonus points if we went home and tried to find any new info on it, and whether or not we have ever achieved it (she doesnt believe we have). I thought about searching around on google myself, but Ive been waiting to ask my first question on Y answer, so here it is: Have we ever achieved absolute zero in an earth environment, or observed it astrologically anywhere else? What it the basis for the theory, (i.e. Why do we think it Must exist?), what purposes would it serve for us, to achieve such a temperature? And do any of you know of any current noteworthy projects researching into this subject (Not to say im not a fan of extra bonus points ;D, but i really ask this, because Im very intrigued by it)
Why Do Evolutionists Walk On Two Legs? Human beings move in a completely different way from other creatures. No other animal can walk upright on its two feet as humans do. Evolutionists, however, claim that the bipedal upright stride of humans evolved by steps from the apes' quadripedal bent stride. # The fossil record shows that no life form ever had a way of movement in between the human and the ape stride. # Anatomical research conducted in recent years establishes that the gradual evolution of the ape stride into the human stride is impossible. # Many other issues still remain unexplained such as brain capacity, the ability to talk, and so on.
Muscle Pain or Weakness blood clotting.? "Tell your doctor if your experiencing unexplained muscle pain or weakness because it may be a sign of a rare but serious side effect." That is the phrase I hear all the time from commercials, I have noticed that a relative is having these and I want to do some research...My question is what type of condition or illness are they talking about in the blood pressure medications commercials like Plavix.
I have an intuition about my toddler? I wrote in last night mentioning that my toddler has broken out in hives 2 times in the past 2 weeks. I can't seem to pinpoint anything different. The only common denominator is she has had a virus both times. I have an intuition though and have done some research on it. Apparently I'm not the only mother that feels this may be the case. She is two and a half years of age and has not cut her 2 year molars yet. She's constantly chewing on things in the back of her mouth and has been running an intermittent low grade temp. I am starting to lean toward the fact that the unexplained hives are caused by the teething of her molars. Research says that a certain percentage of the population gets hives, and out of that percentage, 90% of the time it's unexplained. I've talked to many moms of toddlers and preschoolers who have had this problem and not been able to identify it. I ruled out laundry, lotions. I seriously don't think it's food because it's never the same thing that causes the hives. I'm really starting to believe it's the teething of her 2 year molars, and or the cold/cough she's been experiencing. Has anyone experienced this?
Did any people ever dig deeper into the mystery of the Bermunda Traingle or other mysteries of the Universe? It's been a mystery for years and so is alot of mysteries unsolved or kept hidden from public. Skeptic? Not if it really happened to you but some people would cover it up as a scientific explanation but the supernatural is real. Did people actually dive or go research deep within the Bermuda Triangle or other mysterious unexplained places in the world? This universe is too vast for us to believe that we are the only living species in the galaxy. We haven't even discovered the unknown of our own world yet to full extent. So what's your best guess or answer?
The Bermuda Triangle , Ur Opinions? I was watching an episode of Quantum Leap today and it was the episode Ghost Ship were it talks about the USS Cyclops picking up a pilot who had been stranded at sea even though that ship had disappeared in the bermuda triangle 28 years before hand , and i ddi some research and the story is true that it did disappear there , as have many war planes and ships so people whats your opinion of the bermuda triangle , could all these disappearing of vessels and aircraft be human era? or UFO's or unexplained phenomenom my opinion is something weird does happen there like UFO's and such things

ancient nukes!!!!? okay so i was reading somwwheer and did lotrs of research on this but.....ok here it is. Ancient india used to be called Rama, now this takes place in ancient times, rama went to war with the city of atlantis right so they were very advanced and had fling machines, Ramaand atlants wee the irst 2 civilazaions with nukes, cause they used nuclear warfare, Rama apparently won cause india is still on the face of the earth and Atlantis got wiped out, but its just really cool to think that ancient india and atlantis had nukes and flying machiens and they have found directions in ancient indian scripts on how to build a space craft! they say that india had rocket jets with solar energy and sum mercury type fule. Also hitlers army was the first to ake a v8 jet and u know what he was interesed in ancient india so he haled expidetions around those arseas alot....and got sum research done if u know what i mean. Also in bombay india they found a giant crter that has no meteor explanationa at all. Additional Details 16 minutes ago so they said it was nukes, also they found this area in india where there is so much radition its equivelent to hiroshima, it has gree glass like that produced in the modern day nuclear testing and other things that onlky links to nukes! another thing when jc oppenheimer detonated the first nuke he recited a phrase from ancient indian texts which means he knew the ancient indian texts on nukes, when he was questioned if thet was the first nuke ever detonated he replied.."well yes in MODERN TIMES yes". creepy aint it. ok now this is also weird in ancient indian texts they descripe a super powerful explosions that exactly and perfectly resembles u guessed a nuclear explosion. If anyone is intreded in this you can look it up on the ionternet cause i onlky said it vaugly but there alot more detail and the exact words saud when the ancient indian nuke was detonated. Ok wel that was it i just want to knwo your opion on this really weird scientifc discovey!... NUKES IN ANCINT INDIA SOME REAL 15 minutes ago CRAZY DISCOVERIES THEY FIND LOL 11 minutes ago also they found proof of this and teher hundereds of sights that say its true, its in the indian texts and there unexplained texts anbd radtion and glass, hell theve carbon dated it and found it to be 8000 years old, so i doubt its fake this is reeal ancient india had nukes!

Are you sick and tired at questions about ghost? I'm sick and tired at crazy people posting questions about ghost. Those questions completely pissed me off and I find it very offensive -- it's as offensive to me as the word "f***" is offensive to you. I think half of the people who claimed they see or believe in ghost need a mental check-up. The other half are just experiencing an unexplainable phenomenon that could be explained as science and technology improved. By calling an unexplained phenomenon as "ghost" gives me the impression that the person is uneducated and has no logic in mind. Go back to school and learn a bit of science, or go play a game of chess and improve your retarded logic. Maybe you cuckoo minded infidels should do some darn research before claiming that you have seen a "dead man come to life" or "his spirit flies around my room like a bloody house-fly" So do you agree with me?
What medical conditions can stop you getting into the police force (and for how long)? This is a UK based question. A few years ago I applied to be in the specials (police force) but despite passing the PIRT, I was rejected on medical grounds. Whilst having no known conditions (such as hayfever, asthma, heart conditions.... etc) I filled in the form with what I knew of my medical history. In brief it was a tonsilectomy, unexplained repeated headaches while I was 11-13 (disappeared), Mengingitis at 18 and residual(?) headache for about a month after recovery (now fine). AT this time I was also having difficulty sleeping, which was diagnosed as depression (?!?!). I popped back to the doctors when I was 20, still feeling generally tired and generally lethargic and was told to "talk to a uni counsellor". Not 100% happy I researched sleeping myself and have made a number of useful changes to my bed, pillows, routine, when I drink caffine etc etc and I feel 110% better. I assume police officers have to be mentally stable for what they have to deal with on a daily basis, and that the so called "depression" got me rejected.... but will that sit on my medical records forever, (incorrectly?) so that I am never allowed on the force?
Is there a massive event every 26000 years? Right. Call me crazy, but I've been doing a bit of research. Ever heard that mayan prediction that the world will end on December 23rd 2012? Well that wasnt the actuall prediction. The mayans predicted there would be a assive change on that date and I mean big! To me, this next bit sounded like somebody drunk or stoned came up with this, but play along. On this date the earth would be inline with the sun, and the center of the galaxy, which will mess with our solar system's electromagnetic fields, causing a pole reverse. When I read the pole reverse bit I thought back to a science lesson. "the last iceage is believed to have taken place because the magnetic poles of the earth changed"... The Mayans believe that every 26000 years something new and wonderfull is born, but not without a struggle (like a catterpillar turning into a butterfly). As the last iceage was 26000 years ago, and it was caused by an unexplained world magnetic pole swap, I put two and two together. Right. Call me crazy, but I've been doing a bit of research. Is this probable or is this guy a genuine crackpot? Is this probable or is this guy a genuine crackpot? Black holes don't exist, says BARC scientist A Bombay scientist has sought to disprove the existence of 'black holes' in the universe -- the concept that fascinated physicists for more than 200 years. Dr Abhas Mitra, a senior scientist and an astrophysicst of Theoretical Physics Division of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Bombay, claimed that he has disproved the concept of black holes, which are supposed to be objects so compact that from which even light can not escape. Mitra has pointed out in his paper, 'Non-occurrence of trapped surfaces and black holes in spherical gravitational collapse' in the current issue of the journal 'Foundations of Physics Letters' that just removing the 'subtle errors' in the earlier work of famous physicists J R Oppenheimer and H Snyder had led to the 'rejection' of formation of black holes. Mitra claimed that his results could help in understanding several currently unexplained astrophysical phenomena including cosmic gamma ray bursts. Mitra has also shown that one of the crucial assumptions made by the renowned scientists like Stephen Hawking and Roger Penrose and others that of formation of 'trapped surface' which traps light is actually not allowed by Albert Einstein's generalised collapse equation as the local speed of the collapsing fluid 'does not exceed the speed of light'. Mitra said he has reconfirmed Einstein's results from two different considerations --the first being the GCE and the second the behaviour of material particle which acts like a photon (light) on the so called event horizon, the boundary of supposed black hole. Mitra said with his results it may be easier to understand many observed astrophysical phenomena. Mitra's paper has shown that the presence of physical surfaces endowed with magnetic fields help in understanding phenomenon such as 'jets' found to be ejected from many galactic centres or stellar mass comapct objects. He said since the finite mass or black holes suggested by many physicists has no magnetic field many cosmic phenomena are not properly understood using black hole paradigm. However, Mitra has suggested that the eternally collapsing objects (astroballs) in the universe have a large to ultra high magnetic field which may help in clearing several queries of the astrophysicsts. One of the early proponents of the idea of black holes was the French mathematician P S Laplace and the modern concept of black holes is supposed to have been consolidated by the work of American physicists Oppenheimer and Snyder who studied in 1939 the collapse of a highly idealised fluid ball having no pressure and density gradient. Then in 1960s, Hawking, Penrose and others formed the so-called singularity theory which further consolidated the notion of black holes. Mitra has further pointed out that irrespective of the correctness of his main derivatives, the derivations using Kruskal coordinates and ordinary or Schwarchild coordinates had revealed that there cannot be any finite mass black hole and technically, the EH itself must be the singularity of a zero mass black hole. Quoting Einstein's general theory of relativity that space-time is like a rubber sheet which gets stretched due to the presence of massive bodies or any other form of energy, Mitra explained that 'zero mass black hole state is never realised in any finite time'. As the body collapses, its tidal gravitational pull tends to become infinite even though its gravitational mass decreases due to emission of radiation, Mitra said adding that the GTR as singularity free was always cherished by Einstein. "Einstein never believed in the existence of black holes and most of his peers and proponents of black holes thought that Einstein was unable to fully appreciate his own theory," Mitra added. Celiac and Pregnancy, Crazy? Ok where do I start. For about 2 weeks I was experiencing some brown blood which I assumed to be my period? I finally came online and saw sometimes is could mean pregnancy but it means it's a tubal pregnancy or miscarriage. Thing is I had my period, just brown and occasionally only spots of red for almost three weeks! I let that go. I've been having sharp pains in my left and right sides and my stomach is hard as a rock and the area below the "gut" and above the vagina is hard(I've heard this is linked to pregnancy?) I've also had extreme bloating feelings and gas along with diarrhea. And as well as weird cravings and bursts of hunger, but when I eat about 15 min later prob not even I'm having sharp pains. These are all symptoms of pregnancy I'm sure we'll all agree. I've also researched some blogs with people who had the extreme bloating and sharp pains and 98% of them were pregnant. But, get this. My aunt was diagnosed with Celiac disease(gluten free diet, will eat away your small intestine)and it's hereditary but she doesn't even know who she could have got it from. Well let me just copy and paste symptoms I've found linked with it, I'll mark it with * If I have it. What are the symptoms of celiac disease? Symptoms of celiac disease vary from person to person. Symptoms may occur in the digestive system or in other parts of the body. Digestive symptoms are more common in infants and young children and may include abdominal bloating and pain * chronic diarrhea * vomiting *only just today but sick feelings I've ignored too constipation *NO* pale, foul-smelling, or fatty stool *NO* weight loss *NO, weight gain thats why i'm leaning toward pregnancy Adults are less likely to have digestive symptoms and may instead have one or more of the following: unexplained iron-deficiency anemia *NO* fatigue*NO* bone or joint pain * arthritis*NO* bone loss or osteoporosis depression or anxiety *OH YES* tingling numbness in the hands and feet *NO* seizures*NO* missed menstrual periods *Not sure yet, last one was brown infertility or recurrent miscarriage *Hope not canker sores inside the mouth *NO!* an itchy skin rash called dermatitis herpetiformis * NO* People with celiac disease may have no symptoms but can still develop complications of the disease over time. Long-term complications include malnutrition—which can lead to anemia, osteoporosis, and miscarriage, among other problems—liver diseases, and cancers of the intestine. Also, Celiac disease is both a disease of malabsorption—meaning nutrients are not absorbed properly—and an abnormal immune reaction to gluten. Celiac disease is also known as celiac sprue, non-tropical sprue, and gluten-sensitive enteropathy. Celiac disease is genetic, meaning it runs in families*MY AUNT* Sometimes the disease is triggered—or becomes active for the first time—after surgery, pregnancy*wow it can become apparent during pregnancy*, childbirth, viral infection, or severe emotional stress*I've been crying excessively and have been real sensitive* Forgot to also say something important. My period finally completely stopped yesterday but now, I'm having excessive urinating and just this morning i got morning sickness. OK so my point of showing you all this was I'm thinking, would I be pregnant AND starting to react to Celiac?? PLease someone research this. I would go to the doctor but I just got insurance a few days ago and it's not active til Jan 14. I just wanna research this so I can go into the doctor's telling them exactly what is wrong. Question is though, should I go to the Gynecologist or my regular Physician???
Do you believe in God because...? ...of how you were raised, or did you come to this belief on your own accord? I'm just curious to see how many people actually put deep thought and research into their current belief system before coming to a spiritual conclusion, versus how many have based their beliefs on what they were taught when growing up. (It's the age old "free will -vs- environment" question) I'd also be interested to hear if anyone had a sudden unexplained epiphany, in regards to God, that was responsible for their beliefs, and what was the experience like. This is a fascinating subject to me. There is NO wrong answer here. Thanks you all for sharing your experiences, I appreciate it. Because there is no "best" answer, I am going to let the community decide who will get the kudos here. Voting will be fair with nobody casting votes for themselves...right? You don't want to go to hell now do you? ;) Take care of yourselves, -Dean
I was just diagnosed with H-Pylori and also a positive ANA. Can this be the reason for the positive ANA? So far nothing else has been found, although more tests were run. I have done much research into Lupus, Scleroderma and other autoimmune disorders and nothing fits - I have no symptoms. The reason for my visit to the doc was an unexplained rash I get on my chest and chin, usually at night. this rash does not match any of the "rash" symptoms for several of the disorders. I am almost 46 and am wondering if hormonal changes could be causing the rash? I have no reaction to the sun, light, etc. Again, I am also wondering if this H-Pylori could be the cause of the positive ANA and/or rash! Thank you!
Paranormal and bigfoot reports? Asking people to submit stories and accounts of unexplained events to be posted on yahoo group. Want to help try to explain with the help of others as well. I am dedicated in the research and want to help others. New group ghostsandbigfoot@yahoogroups.com Very interested in these areas and want to know all I can. If anyone has something they would like to share, please do! Can anyone post? Thanks! I want to thank everyone for their answers. The reason I put ghosts with bigfoot is that they are both of the relative "unexplained" I thought that it would be neat to get a bunch of different accounts of the unknown all in one place, then group them as needed. But I got a bigger problem, no one has visited or joined my group. I know these subjects don't interest everyone, but Where are the ones that it does?(abducted maybe? LOL) serious, where would be the best place to advertise, so to speak to let everyone know that it is here for my group to begin? Thanks!
Paranormal believers help me out to prove it? Okay, I have a debate on the paranormal can you go out & find some information on how it really is true. NO YOU don't have to do all of it just pick 1 or 2 to research & copy it on with a source, just be sure it is different from other answers ! Help me win it :) Find stuff on: 1) the real vampires (ppl who think they are vamp's) 2) Nostradamus prediction's 3) Phycic detectives (ppl who find lost children) 4) Ghosts & huanted houses (possessed ppl, demons, famous places) 5) Eye witness encounters 6) Aliens & UFO's (give examples of Rosewell & the unexplained lights in the sky over Phenoix or Mexico sity) Anything that sounds real post it on froma website give as much as you can plz help me out... I don't have a computer & I am doing this Q on someone's smart phone so I can't do it myself...help wheater you beleive or not it just has to be in belief of paranormal research (my topic) give sources plz & well known orginizations if you can. help me out plz:)
