Where to search for medical receptionist job listings? I'm a Nursing student and I'm trying to leave my job (retail) for one in the medical industry, as that will be my field when school is done. I am wanting to relocate to find a better job, but jobs I search for do not specify pay? You are not supposed to bring up the matter of pay at the interview, but the jobs I am applying for are out-of-state. I don't want to move to take a job and end up getting paid the same or less. People work to pay the bills. Why don't these job listings tell me how much I will be making? It stresses me out!! Do you think if these places call me, they will tell me how much the job pays before I get on a plane to go to an interview?

Are these "work at home" job listings just scams? When I search for jobs in my area, most of the listings are "work at home and data entry" jobs. Are these legit or are they trying to scam us? I wish I could make $50/hr. answering survey questions. If they are in fact scams, why are they allowed on the job listing sites like monster and yahoo jobs?
Help on Attorney Job Search? I'm a new graduated that recently was admitted to practice law in California. I'm not sure where to turn to for finding a job as an attorney. Most job listings require 3+ years experience. I would like to work in the business/corporate law fields, although not necessarily limited to these areas. Are there any websites/recruiters that you would recommend? Has anyone used LawCrossing for a job search? They are a paysite so I'm hesitant to use them, but they sound really good. Any thoughts and advise are greatly appreciated.

looking for any/all job listings in the automotive transmissison mechanic/auto. diagnostic technician field.. I've tried searching for a new job in my specified field: "Automotive Diagnostic Technician-Specialist"; ie; also "Experienced Automotive-Transmission Mechanic," But it seems that I must be going about this in the wrong way...Since Yahoo Job Search keeps saying there aren't any matches. Which I cannot believe there wouldn't be any job openings in this category. I am a very experienced, over-worked, under-paid hard-worker simply looking for a better opportunity-- All I want is some job listings in my area of expertise. Is it too much to ask for Health Insurance and fair pay for a family-man Mechanic? I really hope to recieve some sort of helpful feedback at least... I live in the San Fernando Valley area-Have car will travel! Thank you. Sincerely, Gino A.
Have you encountered any SCAM job search sites? DO NOT SUBMIT any information to these sites: www.getplacednow.com www.careernetwork.com www.career-network.com www.careernetwork.us.com These are SCAM sites for some sort of "education" service. To sell you worthless online education. I submitted my resume to one of them because it was listed on www.careerbuilder.com. I've received a lot of annoying phone calls and have received dozens of junk e-mail from them. They are not affiliated with the companies with the job openings. Their "job listings" are NOT REAL. They should be put out of business! Beware!
are there any job searching sites for 16 year olds? The only job searching sites I find are just job listings where you have to be 18 for the job. Gem this is the future, i went job hunting going from store to store, most of them said go apply online.. go figure?

Are there any online job search websites that don't suck? I have a full time job and other responsibilities, and as a result I don't have time to drive around town and pick up applications at random places. I don't have any vocational skills and I haven't graduated college yet, so I'm pretty much limited to entry-level positions. The only problem is, online job listings like craigslist or monster seem to be loaded with ads for phone sales, work-from-home scams, or ads for jobs which require some sort of skillset I don't have. My local newspaper classified isn't much help either...it's all the same sorts of ads. Anyone know of any websites which offer decent, dignified, entry-level job listings?
What is a good online resource for job searching? I have used Monster and linkedin.com, but all I'm getting is iffy offers. Is there a good site where you can find job listings? What would you recommend? And yeah, I am doing in-person applications as well, so no, I'm not that lazy. Bryan C - Yeah, I had two jobs and then I got laid off from both. Getting out and looking hasn't worked for the last few months, but that doesn't mean I'll stop.
How do you find out if job listings are legitimate or not? I've been looking for jobs on Yahoo Hot Jobs and similar sites and I'm having trouble because I don't know much about these companies or ever heard of them. I started filling out information for one job and they started asking me questions like am i interested in buying car insurance and i started getting all this junk mail. Does anyone know of a website where I can search these companies?
Job Searching? i am looking for a summer job and i need a site to search for job listings?
Radiation Therapy Job Opportunities? Okay, my mom has always told me that if you have a health career, you can go anywhere you want because those jobs are needed everywhere. So I decided to go into Radiation Therapy Technology. But today I did a test job search, and I found NO job listings on Monster, and only 7 on Yahoo. So my question is this- is Radiation Therapy a job where you can go anywhere, and if not, what is?
I have exhausted my job search in Chicago, how can I start to find work in other cities? this is just getting out of control. I need to find a job that fits me and I am not finding it in Chicago. All I am finding are scam jobs on the career websites and no listings in the newspaper. When I try to look on the newspaper websites, they direct me right back to the stupid careerbuilder, monster SCAM jobs. How can I start to find employment in other cities. Whats the normal relocation process for moving to another city? Did the company help you? Let me clarify. I have EXHAUSTED all of my resources in the Chicago area. I have went to many Companies, but you have to make sure they are hiring in which they direct my BACK to the internet!
Are there any legitimate job listings on Craigslist? When I search Craigslist for local job listings, most of what I come up with looks phony. The descriptions are often so vague (they make the job sound interesting and easy, while also offering good pay and perks, while requiring very little experience from the prospective applicants). I know that a lot of these listings are just people phishing for personal information so they can steal your identity or use your résumé. Out of those, though, some of them provide links to legitimate websites where more specific information is provided and you can formally apply online. So I'm just wondering if you personally have had luck, good or bad, with finding a job on this site?
What are the best keyword search terms to use to find job postings on business sites.. not Monster, CB, etc..? Looking to uncover job leads by finding postings on local business sites for help wanted. Trying terms like "positions", "to hire", "city, state". Newspapers, job boards show all the same garbage over and over again. Want to find current or previous job listings on the company sites themselves.
How can I find a paying internship or a job in the magazine industry. I am a 24 guy from Texas and I am in search on finding a job where I can use my degree in Communications. I want to find a site where there are job postings or paying internships in the magazine industry, talent agencies, or with photography. I do have a photography background. I have looked at ED2010.com but majority of the jobs are in New York. Does anybody have any advice or other job listings in the magazine industry that I can look for?
Does anyone have tips for someone searching for a job as a chef? I know a chef who wants a job at a fancy restaurant. I have tried Monster and other job listings with no luck. The chef in question has no computer. This is a courtesy posting.
whats better a walk in or an online job application? Hello, I've been searching for a job probably about 2 or 3 months now. Nothing. I have applied to many places online. I just turned 18 years old. this would actually be my first job. I wanted to know if its better to apply online or walk into the actual place your interested in? Or if anyone knows of any sites with job listings... Or if anyone has any suggestions or advice anything id love to hear it, thanks.
what are the best job searching sites (uk)? There are quite alot of sites, i don't really want to go through so many, so can someone tell me the best ones i.e. the ones with the best/most job listings.
Is it bad if a company sees your resume twice? I am applying for jobs but it seems that many companies post job listings on job search websites as well as on their company website. If I post a resume for a position on a job search website and then again on the company website for the same position, would it make me look bad if they see my resume multiple times? What about posting it on multiple job websites? Or should I just go ahead and do it? Thanks.
EB Work search requirements - do online applications count? I just applied for the Extended Benefits program and it has stricter work search requirements. I do most of my job search online, applying to positions through sites like the I Match Skills site, CareerBuilder.com, Job Dango, Monster, etc. Some of these job listings do not give the name of a person to contact, just a general 'Human Resources' title and email address. I live in Oregon, by the way.
Job Search Keywords? I just moved this question - accidentally posted in the wrong category. I'm a recent graduate currently looking for a job in an art/illustration,design, or animation-related field anywhere in North America or English-speaking Europe. The problem is that when I use online job-search engines such as monster.com or careerbuilder.com (which are not my only methods of looking for a job, but should also not be ignored), most of the job search results that they produce are completely unrelated to any field I am interested in. One of the more recent, amusing examples is an art/design/animation related keyword search coughing up a job listing for a janitorial position. How can I retool my job-search keywords and specifications in order to filter out irrelevant job postings and find the listings for the sorts of jobs I am actually looking for? I could try to be more specific, but the problem with getting TOO specific is that I narrow my search so much that I get no job search results at all.
How could i go about looking for jobs in L.A.,before i plan on moving there, and what are the most sought after? locations, would irvine be one of the top areas, which others? Are there any websites/local papers i can start looking at i would be interested in the fashion and entertainment industry, where could i search job listings for that thanks!
How to get a job designing barbie clothes? I heard that you can get a job designing barbie clothes with a starting pay of 60,000 a year. I really would love to try and get a job like that. What is an effective way to search for a job located abroad? I am American, but have lived more than half my life outside of the US. I would love to be able to have a job overseas, but most of the career search engines I know of don't have a very extensive over-seas listings. Please let me know of any international career search methods that you might know of. Thanks

Where to Post Free Job Listings in Illinois? My company is small and we don't have the budget to put an ad in the newspapers or on radio to let potential job candidates know that we are hiring. Monster.com is outrageous as are many of the other internet employment search sites. Any suggestion? P.S. I am hiring licensed Illinois Mortgage Loan Originators
How do I get a job with Disney Movie Club? DisneyCareers.com doesn't seem to have Disney Movie Club (or even Buena Vista Worldwide Home Entertainment) as a search option, and I can't find any info on DisneyMovieClub.com. Does anyone know how to see job listings and apply to jobs for Disney Movie Club or BVWHE? I live in Orlando, but if I could get a job, I'd relocate. I could call the Disney Movie Club and ask them, but surely they must have a website with job listings, right?
How can I get a job working with the orphans in Romania? I have a Master's degree in Family Therapy and have been working for Child Protective Services in the United States for 1 1/2 years (I'm American). I speak English, French, and Romanian. I want to get a job working with the orphans in Romania. Does anybody know of any websites that have job listings like these?? Do I have a good chance? I've already tried a web search myself and I'm having trouble finding anything helpful. Thank you!!!
Any advice on new:creative ways to hunt for a job? I relocated to a smaller city (still a city tho) this past spring, spent a month interviewing and got quite a few good job offers. I quit my first job after 3 months because I was heavily exploring a move back home and also wanted to take an extended period of time to re-evaluate my career goals. I got temporary work and a few decent offers even stemmed from that! Well that was about a month ago. Now that I've decided to search for a permanent job once again, the online listings have completely dried up here. I have been mostly out of work this past month (I'm trying not to let that pressure my job search.) I suppose it's a seasonal thing. I've gotten good results on call backs and interviews, but unfortunately most of these haven't been a match on either end. I haven't been unemployed for about 6 years and I'm curious if there are any other 'creative' ways I can be proactive besides online listings or job fairs. Your advice is appreciated!!!
is there a site that you can search for jobs? is there a site where you can search for jobs? specifically in teaching high school? I want a real site (ie, .org/.edu/.gov sites) that are official and popular. For example i want a site where people post real job listings. Thanks!
Job search for jobs that offer relocation? I've used a number of engines for job searching, and I'm curious if there is a way, using one of these job engines, to search ONLY for jobs that offer relocation expenses. I've tried searching for this sort of thing using keyword searches, and it usually just brings up listings that do NOT offer relocation, which was why I was wondering if there was a way to specifically search only for jobs that DO offer relocation. Thanks
Job search assistance? I am a criminal prosecutor from Louisiana who is moving to Florida. I am looking for a job. Any suggestions of services/websites with listings? Thanks
If a job ad shown in newspaper but can’t be found in hiring company, is it a bogus listing intended for H1B? Recently (May – Aug, 2008), there are many job listings in Detroit’s Sunday newspapers that come from Hewlett Packard. The job requirements are mostly generic (such as gathering requirements, writing codes), instead of “5 years of J2EE programming” as other real ads do. If I use the job titles to search in HP’s website, there’s no such jobs at all. Of course, just based on these, one can’t say they are fake ads. But there are other evident that I can definitely tell the ads are fake. Do you agree these are bogus jobs to entice resumes for the purpose of facilitating H1B applicants?
Where can I find the best medical sales job listings? I really want to get into medical device sales.? I've been searching for a medical device sales job for a few months and am frustrated with all of the medical device sales job posting sites. 99% of them seem like they are developed by actual medical sales representatives trying their hardest to make a quick buck on the side. Which sites are legit companies who run the site full time and will actually get me a job and also be around in 5 years? Most of them charge candidates to use their site which is bogus most of the time. I don't mind paying for a website membership since they are doing all the marketing to get the jobs on there, but I don't want to give it to John Smith, a medical rep who decided to fork out a bunch of cash to put their site on google lisings. It's hard to filter out the garbage sites. Please help so I can stop wasting my time and make land a job!

Where, in Seattle, can I find an job as an environmental scientist? Hello! I Grad school is over, my lease is up soon, and my schedule is wide open. I am planning on moving to Seattle in July with my girlfriend (her company has another office there, so she can transfer) and I'm looking to work as a research biologist, environmental consultant, environmental advocate or some mix of those. I'm open to anything. I just finished my MS in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins Univeristy and have a BS in Wildlife Bilogy from Ohio University. I have worked in Alaska, Arizona, and Florida while in school (summers) and am a big backpacker/camper/hiker. I've stayed at least one night in all the states except Hawaii. For the sake of my sanity, I knew I had to live out West and I love the Pacific NW...... Anyway, I've searched for jobs through all the standard listings and websites and was wondering if anyone knew of "green" environmental companies who do conservation or policy work in the Seattle or Bellingham area? Thanks!!!
Temp companies and Newspaper and Internet has no JOBS, is calling or viewing Phonebook companies websitesGOod? I'm fed up that there's no Jobs anywhere. Is it a good idea to do job search by going through phonebook and calling as many companies as can. Or viewing company websites I mean, what else can i do when there's only 20 job listings in the newspaper AND most of those are fake. In craiglist too, most of the things are SPAM and not real jobs
I can't seem get a job due to drug testing of marijuana even though i have quit, any advice? I recently graduated from high school and I'm trying very hard to secure a summer job, partially in the hopes of making some money but mostly because I like to keep myself busy. I have spent the last few days searching local listings for jobs in my area and have found quite a few jobs which I feel I would be very good at, none of which I can apply to due to what I consider drug testing that no longer applies to me. Here is what I mean: I am an American who grew up overseas in a country in which Marijuana is not only legal but used ceremonially and very easily available. Living in a country where marijuana was legal combined with the fact that I have minor tourrettes caused me to partake in a fair amount of smoking over the past two years. I would only smoke in the evenings, NEVER at school or any important events or anything and I was able to maintain a fair grade point average nonetheless. You may disagree with this lifestyle but that makes no difference in my problem. I made a firm self agreement that after I graduated from High School and moved home to the US I would quit completely as I do not want to be in trouble with the law and I don't have the money to maintain this practice. I have carried this out, moving to the US, and quitting completely with no intention to start again. My problem is that I now have 2+ years of marijuana in my system which I put there LEGALLY which is preventing me from getting a job almost ANYWHERE. I am going crazy trying to find any sort of employment that doesn't drug test and such, even though I am a hard worker who has no intention to use drugs in the near future. I am very afraid that I will show up to a job interview, get the job but then be rejected because I test positively on the drug test. This seems very likely because I smoked regularly for two years. I also would hate to fail a drug test and have that information jeopardize my acceptance into college next fall (I have already been accepted) or my chances of getting a job in the future :( Does anyone have any sort of advice for me on how I can get a job anyway or something along those lines without resorting to buying fake urine online, because I would really rather not spend the next 6 weeks unemployed simply because of my past LEGAL use... Any response would be GREATLY appreciated...
Searching for a Job? Ehm yeah anyone know any websites where I can look for online job listings around my area? i dont need anything professional im only 16
What is a typical work day (tasks) like for an executive recruiter? I was recently searching job listings and happened to land on an executive recruiting firm's web page. I didn't find any jobs in my current profession (urban planning), but the firm itself had an executive recruiter position that looked interesting. I have no relevant experience in recruiting, but hold an MBA. I have been flirting with the idea of seeking another profession. As such, I am wondering what executive recruiting is like and if my MBA would be relevant?

Where do I find a job? I've searched craiglist, monster and careerbuilder. Where else can I find job listings?
i think i have obsessive compulsive disorder. ???? In the past two years, i've had 3 jobs. 2 of which only lasted 3 months apiece. I am constantly searching job listings for another job. I lost the 2 after 3 months because of my anxiety. my most current job, i've had for over a year but, continue to search for other jobs daily. I go on interviews before and after work and then inevitably turn them down. The truth is, the job I have isn't great and raises have been cancelled along with our Christmas party this year. I have been offered a new job doing pretty much the same thing for more pay but I am afraid of the change. Deep down I know that even if I take this job, I will continue to pour over the want ads the next day. I can't stop looking. I have a deep seeded fear that I will lose a job after a few months and have to keep looking, even though I know I have a job and have kept it for 15 months now. What kind of medication is there for OCD? is topamax used for OCD?
Spouse laid off, discouraged in job hunt? My spouse was laid off mid March of this year and he is begining to get very discouraged in his efforts to look for a job. He tried to go through the steps to become a cop and after his interview they said they couldn't see a reason he wouldn't go on to the next step and then he got a rejection letter with no explanation. He doesn't know if he can try again or if they are totally not interested or whether other agencies etc would not be interested either. We bought a suit for his interviews and he says that it was a total waste of money. Now I've been encouraging him to try for CNC machinist job (the job he was doing before he was laid off) but he looked at a few places and they aren't hiring. Then I found two listings where they are hiring and now he is saying that he'll have to buy his own tools (I didn't know he was borrowing tools at his old job) and what if it doesn't work out. He is totally in the dumps and says he can't get excited about anything. I am not sure what to do. I tried to cheer him up and told him we'd figure it out and if we have to buy tools we'll buy them. If it doesn't work out, we'll sell the tools. No biggie. Then he says he's worried he won't fit in and basically seems to have lost confidence in his abilities. I tried to get him to laugh or anything to get his mind off of it, but it only works for a little bit and then he is back to being all zoned out. On the one hand I don't want to pressure him or anything but on the other hand I am nervous that he will let job opportunities fly by just because he is scared and leave me being the only one working (which I feel guilty for thinking). Also sometimes he stars whining about how we'll never have anything fun like ATV's or seadoos or other such stuff. I tell him we'll figure that out later and he says he doesn't want to get old and having no fun. This makes me feel bad because there isn't anything I can do to fix that. What should I do to encourage him in his job search and help him regain his confidence and get him to quit focusing on materialistic stuff we can't afford right now? We know how hard the process is to become a cop. He went through a lot of those steps before he was rejected.
What is the best way to land a great IT job, preferably in Houston? My husband has been searching FURIOUSLY for a job in his field here in Houston. He has tried Monster, Yahoo Hot Jobs, Career Builder, Dice, Houston Chronicle, cold-calling recruiters & staffing agencies, etc. Even when he does see new listings for VB6 or Oracle8 jobs, he rarely gets an interview. He has all of the qualifications, education, and experience. What is going on? He needs a job!

Why is it that when I search for things on the net, I get a lot of vague/unrelated links in the top? I have a legit website, offering free services to employers. When I do a keyword search, for example Job Fairs Toronto, there are lots of results, but when you click on them none lead you to actual listings of Toronto Job Fairs. My site lists job fairs, it is listed on directories, it has proper meta tags, even ppc marketing, yet it never shows up in an organic search. What can be done??
Advice on how to land a job, please? Okay, I'm 21 years old, and am in a position now where I need to grab a job, either part time or full time (I went from fulltime student to living with a room mate) ... I'm in a brand new city/state as well (Wisconsin, Green Bay), and I just have no idea how to approach this situation! I looked online for job listings, I even signed up at Adecco, but all the searches I've found in the last 4 days of looking all require experience. But ... how am I to get experience if the only jobs hiring take ppl with experience? lol I'm completely new to this, so any tips on how to land a job would really be helpful. Im really interested in working in perhaps a bookstore, or a library, but I'll take anything, besides fastfood. I'm kinda getting desperate o.O
What are some good part-time jobs for teens? I have searched countlessly through online job listings. However, I cannot seem to find anything suitable for a 17-year-old girl. I've previously put in applications both at Pet Smart and at a tuxedo rental store downtown. I do not want to operate a cash register, and I do not want to work at a fast food joint. What's out there for me? Please help! Thank you so much in advance!

How can I look for jobs in my area? I would like to find a job in Ontario, Ottawa region. How can I search this. Is there a website that has job listings. The job is for a student in highschool.
Searching for jobs on Craigslist? So I've just graduated from a university in California and have begun the job search but I want to relocate so I've been looking deeply into local job listings on Craigslist which seem to have some very interesting leads in various cities across the country. The only problem is, when the employers reply to my email they ask if I currently live in those cities, and since I don't, I am not getting a second reply from them, even though I state that I am willing to relocate. They always say that they are looking for local people. What's up with that! How do I get around this? I don't want to move before I've landed a job!
What are the best ways to search for a seasonal or year-round job in the Taos, NM area? I'm planning to travel to New Mexico to look for a seasonal / temporary job prior to deciding whether to move there long-term. I've never been to Taos, but I was thinking that the ski resort and other local businesses in the area must hire extra people for the ski season. I found several websites that provide listings for seasonal & permanent jobs, but I was wondering whether anybody has any suggestions before I begin the time consuming task of applying for numerous jobs through multiple sites. As a little background info, I have 20+ years of experience primarily in human resources management and employee relations for large, internationally known hotel and cruise line companies, as well as sales & customer service experience. BA degree. I welcome all suggestions, especially from anyone who currently lives in the Taos area, or has lived there previously.
How can I get a job in the Title insurance business? I have experience conducting title searches all the way back to the 1800s but not for a title insurance company. I rarely see listings for this type of job but I know that plenty of people do this. Where can I start looking?
Job hunting advice in Washington DC? I'm relocating to DC and I'm having a whale of a time finding a job. I've applied to around 50 jobs in the past 3 months and have had only one contact. It's really odd too, because some people I know in the area tell me the market is great, but others say it's bad. I also understand that hiring freezes are common there right now. I have a BA degree and basically 2 years of professional experience. Anyway, I just want to see if anyone on here in the DC area could offer some advice. I've mostly been searching through University websites looking for jobs (my most recent experience is in college admissions). I've also used the Washington Post job listings and craigslist, and some company websites. Note: I WILL NOT use Monster or CareerBuilder. I listed my resume on these two websites a year and a half ago during another job search and I still to this day get identity theft/pyramid scheme/multi-level marketing scam emails all the time. Thanks so much for any help!
