What sites can I use to find temporary jobs ?? High Paying Temp Jobs!? I am the type of person who loves to try new things and life is all an experience so I like to hold jobs for a short amount of time. I usually use Accountemps.com but I think its time for a change. Please post websites where I can register and find Temp Jobs...Executive temp jobs though that pay at least $15 an hour.. I have great credentials !

What is a good staffing company in Memphis that will find more business or professional jobs? I tried OfficeTeam/AccounTemps in the past and they didn't find me much of anything. Now, I have an Associates and a Bachelors and I'm looking for employment. Also, I'm black I know that has drawbacks with some staffing companies, this is based on experience. Any idea of what staffing companies I should look into?

What are some good temporary or part time jobs? I had my position as an accountant eliminated 2 years ago and I still can't find full time work. I'm willing to do almost anything. But I've heard only bad things about Accountemps/Robert Half so I'd like to steer clear of them. Any recommendations???

How to deal with stress from chainging jobs.? I am currently working part-time with a compnay that I love. Unfortunately, the money is not great since it's only part time. So I started applying for other part-time jobs and found one through accountemps. The problem is they want part-time to start transitioning to full time. I thought I would have at leaset a couple of weeks to get used to the new job before having to give my notice at my current job just to make sure that it is going to work. Quitting a sure think to take a job through a temp service makes me a little queazy. I have to do something my money is not going as far as it should every month and it would be an awesome opportunity but I just can't get over how far away it is about a 25 minute drive each way, and the fact that I am working for a temp agency. What happens if I quit my other job and they keep me at full time for 90 days and then decide that they don't like me. What am I supposed to do then?

Robert Half and Accountemps? Has anybody used these services to find a finance job?

Signed up with a Temp. Agency, and found a full time job...? Over the summer I signed up with a temp agency (Accountemps), and did one assignment with them for a 2 weeks. I recently found a full time job on my own, how do I tell the temp agency I am no longer interested in their services? I'm not sure if I want to tell them I found a job, as the may feel they are owed a 'buy-out fee' even though they didn't find the job for me? Should I tell the temp agency I found a job, or just ignore them when they call?

Should i consent to a background check after being permanently placed by a temp agency? I recently found a job through Robert Half (Accountemps). I filled out all of the necessary paperwork and gave them consent to do a background check. Well I started my temp job and after my trial period, the company I was working with decided to bring me on permanently. I go in to do my background check and something comes up on my background. I had a misdemeanor expunged about 4 years ago, and it shouldn't have showed up. I brought in a copy of the papers and everything is fine. All of the paperwork has been filled out and I am officially employed by this company. Now I get an email from RHI saying they need me to consent to a background check before I will be hired. I have consulted with the HR department of the company that hired me and was told not to consent to this because I am no longer RHI's employee. It seems like something fishy is going on? It seems like they never ran the background report the first time and are trying to save themselves. I have been getting several calls from RHI trying to make me consent to this background check and that it is so they are compliant. I talked to other people who came through RHI and were brought on permanently and they said they never had them contact them but RHI says that it is standard. I am not sure what to do here because I really do appreciate them finding me a job, but I feel they should have done this the first time(I would have been fired because of the misdemeanor) so I would have been prepared in case it showed up there too. I need some advice on what to do/what is going on. Thanks for your answers. I am going to let the HR department deal with it. Has anyone ever heard or had this happen to them before? It kind of seems like they do this a lot. Background checks can be expensive and it makes no sense for them to want to waste money on doing one for me when I am no longer their employee.

Is this job legit or a scam? I received a reply from a job that I applied to. It was posted on a popular job search website. Anyway, the company is called Accountemps and I guess they serve as a contractor where they find companies people to hire. I was told to bring drivers licence, social security number, and references. I'm curious because most of the jobs I've received replies to have been a waste of time. Should I proceed with this?

A TEMP THROUGH AN AGENCY? I am working with an agency(RobertHalf Accountemps) on a temp job which does have chances of being permanent. I wanted to know if i ask my agent to find me a better paying temp job, would the agent be capable of notifying my manager about my motives of finding a better placement? The reason i ask is because the agent is well connected with the company that i work for and is in contact with my manager. I am just worried that if i tell him to find me a better job with better pay, he will notify my manager of my intentions and then that could affect my current employment.

What should i expect at an accountemps interview for a accounts payable position? I just called accountemps about a accounts payable position's available in my town. I have no experience in that field but am very computer savvy with excel and other apps and also have been reading up on the job itself. My temp agency heard negative things about me from clients..should i clarify with the clients themselves? I worked for a temp agency client. I did my best for them, went beyond my duties, and even came in on a weekend to prepare a check for them that was requested late. I was there for more than 1.5 months, and they let me go after that, saying that they didn't need my services anymore. I understand completely. But, they said many negative things about me, none of which are true. They said that I am not a diligent worker, i gave attitude to one of the co-workers, and that i did not adhere to time lines. I am not the type of person who ever does that. I don't recall these instances at all. My agency is a pretty big one (Robert Half) and having my name maligned costs me jobs from Accountemps, Officeteam, and The Creative Group. When i was let go, the president said that they would act as a reference for me. I feel really cheated. They would have to pay others thousands of dollars to have them complete the report that i completed for them. The least that they could have done for me was to give me a neutral review. I want to call up the president and ask him about why the company said these things about me. What should i do? Can i get sued if i call them? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Who is hiring accountants? I currently live in Michigan. I have a bachelor degree in accounting with combined experience of about a year or so. I'm not sure if I'm just not looking in the right places, but it seems accounting jobs aren't as booming as they said it would be in school. I'm currently unemployed (I know, join the club) and I am willing to relocate anywhere in the continental US for the right opportunity. I know I don't have an overwhelming amount of experience, but I think my personality and attitude can compensate. To save some time: I have utilized sites such as, but not limited to monster, hotjobs, careerbuilder, craigslist, mlive, michigan works, accountemps, and robert half. No luck with any of them. I have also applied to several corporate giants websites and no luck there either. Surely, there is someone out there that can let me prove myself. Does anybody have any leads or suggestions?
