What is wrong with Monster and Yahoo Hot Jobs ? i uploaded my resume into careerbuilder ,monster, hot jobs , now i been receiving some calls but only from careerbuilder . they let me EDIT my resume so it looks good ., inside a text editor right inside the website itself. But for monster and yahoo they don't have that option . and my resume looks like it's all over the place there , how can i resolve this problem ? even the call i received today was due to my resume in "careerbuilder". is there any solution to this ?
How many people use monster to find jobs? How many responses does the typical job ad get and how soon on monster? I don't want to spend a lot of money for a job ad and only get a few responses. http://michelle-obama.cn/jobs-job.html http://michelle-obama.cn/jobs-job.html http://michelle-obama.cn/jobs-job.html http://michelle-obama.cn/jobs-job.html http://michelle-obama.cn/jobs-job.html
Is Monster still the place to go for jobs? I guess a lot depends on what type of job you are looking for. I am an entrepreneurial minded person with solid technical AND business skills and 15 years of experience. I am just tired of trying to make small innovative companies to be successful (ultimately run out of resources). Would Monster be the right place for me to look for a job? Or, are there any other/better sites? How do you people put up with Monster's constant advertisments?
What are good sites or other places to find jobs besides Craigslist, Monster, or Careerbuilder? I'm a graphic designer with over 6 years experience creating packaging, layout, brochure, and other print and production designs for various companies in a wide range of industries. All I want is a livable wage or even someone who needs a freelancer who will actually pay the person after the job is delivered. I've been using elance.com, but apparently after the first few submissions free accounts can't apply for anything else.
Regarding a job posting from monster jobs...? Has anyone recieved a job posting from Monster jobs regarding working at home for a company named FORCE HEALTHCARE? Representative position? Where checks are recieved from patients and processed at a bank and they are based in London? Just want to know because I received and email for a job offer from this company and I don't know how legit it is...It states I get 10% of the checks I recieve in the mail, providing I give them my mailing address and full name to where the patients mail the checks and I take them to the bank and deduct 10% for myself! Hmmmm...Sounds like a scam?? Has anyone ever tried this??? Curious??? Not going to accept, just curious! :)
Monster Jobs - Placement Services? Worth It? Several months ago I lost my IT HealthCare job of 12yrs to downsizing. I have a total 26 yrs IT experience, BS degree, and resume updated but can’t find any positions. Since I put my resume on Monster, I have been getting emails from recruiter IT services in my town. The jobs they post on their company sites are the same old ones on Monster that only pay $8/hour /contract and no one wants. If I’d go with one of these placement services, how does it work? Do they take part of my pay, a set fee, what? It seems strange to me they are pushing the same jobs that are already listed in Monster. But would they have ways to get me into an interview better than I could on my own? Difference in Placement Co and Headhunter?
Is it even worth applying for jobs at places like Monster, Hotjobs, etc? I'm a soon to be college graduate looking for work. I've heard that these giant job boards can be quite a crap shoot for job seekers due the high volume of candidates (I've heard 1000 applicants for a job isn't rare). Should I even bother applying to job postings on these sites or just pursue other avenues in my search?
Why do HotJobs, Monster, & CareerBuilder only offer jobs in hospitality, marketing, & sales? I can't seem to find what I qualify for. & also, you have to have good credit or have a good driving record. Or they always require SOME qualification I don't have. I have a learner's permit since I moved to Texas & have to take the driving test all over again. & they also want you to have a dependable car, which I don't have. & they want experience. I have almost no job experience.

Phony jobs from careerbuilder and/or monster? Ever since i posted my resume on those sites, i've been getting emails in similar format and say that based on my accounting experience (which i don't have), i would qualify for those jobs. This isn't really a question but a comment really.
